Ocean Sunfish, 7th Ramp

Late last night, I did some diving and I caught a scallop. Pascal popped up and asked for it, and gave me a pearl in return (no mermaid recipe this time). He also had some words of wisdom about funny bones.

Pascal: Everyone knows the funny bons isn't funny, maaan. So when are we gonna start calling it the ouchy bone?

I also spotted Wisp in town. I collected his spirits for him, and he gave me some white honeycomb tile (flooring).

Early this morning, I attended the completion ceremony for my 7th ramp. Most of my residents were sleeping, but they were forced to attend the ceremony anyway. 😛

In the afternoon, I caught my first ocean sunfish! This thing is colossal!

I caught an ocean sunfish! Good thing I'm wearing ocean sunscreen!

After making my final preparations, I recorded my town tour! Here it is; I hope you enjoy it!

Label was in town, and I spoke with her tonight. She wanted to see me in an outdoorsy outfit, and she gave me a sleeved apron to base my outfit on. I put it on and spoke with her right away; I never put much effort into these things. But she seemed to approve of what I was wearing. She said she’ll be sending me a tailors ticket, as well as something else that she made herself. (She was going to give it to me right away, but my pockets were full).

I won’t be having Friday Night Forest this week. But instead, I may open my gate for a short while on Sunday afternoon. I’m not sure of the time yet, but check the blog or Twitter once it gets closer for details.

Have a good day, and I’ll see you all next time!

  1. How did you make parts of your path squiggly? Like near midges House? Also I love the town tour! Have a good day!

  2. i took inspiration from you and made a secret path to the secret beach it was a bit hard because of the pond being in front

  3. My favorite part of your town must be Peach Lane, but that’s not to say that your island looks amazing! The rainbow road bit was quite the surprise and I actually didn’t know you could dive from a cliff! It’s nice to aee how Forest connects and fingers crossed for the Dream Suite ti come back!

  4. Jeff I have a few questions for you
    1. Why do you use dirt paths? Im not saying its bad, but I thought you would make a custom path or use something different
    2. What is this idea you have for the island you said you had
    3. How are you doing during this time of quarantine. If you dont want to answer it, its fine but I just want to know if you are ok

    1. 1. I’m not good at designing custom paths, and I’m happy with the dirt paths. The dirt paths also allow me to bury pitfalls, and potentially grow new hybrids even if there’s not enough space in the grass.
      2. The idea I’ve been talking about lately was Rainbow Road, although I also made some changes with ramps, paths, and a new bridge on the cliffs.
      3. I’m doing okay. It’s certainly not an ideal time, but I’m trying to get through it without getting caught up in all the negativity that’s out there. I’m just glad New Horizons arrived when it did.

  5. I found your Rainbow Road idea lovely. Celeste gives some star/moon furniture DIYs, so hopefully once you get those you consider placing them around the area (thinking of the more modern Rainbow Road iterations). I hope they eventually add Mario furniture too, a Thwomp or two would fit perfectly there.

    1. Thank you! Yeah, I may make changes to it over time. And if we do get Nintendo items, I’ll be able to replace the car beds with actual Mario karts.
