Paper Bag Party

The Happy Home Academy sent me a letter congratulating me on topping 50,000 points today. They sent me a gold HHA plaque, and I put it in my exercise room.

It was storming in town when I started the game up this afternoon, and I caught my first giant cicada. It also earned me some Nook Miles as the 60th bug in my Critterpedia.

I caught a giant cicada! Guess it doesn't feel like singing in the rain!

Velma the goat was camping at the campsite. Even though Velma wasn’t baaad in New Leaf, I had no interest in inviting her to my island.

Donut want.

Able Sisters had a paper bag for sale (to wear as a hat), and it was only 140 bells, so I bought it right away.

Mabel: It's 140 bells--or a tailors ticket--for paper bag. Interested?
Can I have a paper bag to take this home in?

My 4th lily-of-the-valley appeared at my campground area, but I might end up moving it somewhere else. It messes with my pseudo diagonal symmetry here, lol. ๐Ÿ˜‚

A new lily-of-the-valley appears at the campsite.

At 4:00, I opened my gate. Logan, Wyatt, Alex, Alex, Jade, Tom41, and Ryan (from Petal Burg) came over to visit. We started off with a frog race, and I actually won the first race.

I suggested another run, but as we were returning, I spotted a banded dragonfly. I chased after it a bit, but it got away. ๐Ÿ™ But we ran the frog race again, and Ryan won this time. Congrats, Ryan!

Eight frogs after a race.

Tom suggested a backward frog race, where we start at the showers and race down (towards the camera) back to the starting point. Sounded like a good idea, so we hopped to it.

Frogs race back to the starting line.

Wyatt was the first back to the starting line, so congrats! There weren’t any prizes, but I said the winners got to eat a fly. ๐Ÿ˜›

After that, we headed over to Able Sisters. Everyone else bought paper bags to wear, so we were a bunch of bagheads!

Back outside, Ryan and Tom41 ran ahead…and fell into pitfalls. ๐Ÿ˜› The only bad thing is that I didn’t get to see it happen! They were so ashamed that they hid their faces in paper bags. ๐Ÿ˜‰

A bunch of bagheads.

Jade got disconnected, but returned. We headed over to the pier for some swimming and diving. Fortunately, our bags didn’t get soggy in the sea. ๐Ÿ˜›

A bunch of bagheads diving into the ocean.

Alex left, and the rest of us went up to play a few rounds of sumo. We played one four-player version of sumo, and Logan won the first round. Timo came over (Forest was full again), and the four of us who didn’t play the first round played this time. Timo won this round.

We then played an 8-player game of sumo (on just the regular 3×3 grid). I fell out first, and it looked like the others weren’t even moving for a while! But Ryan ultimately won…or so it appeared. But after looking at the footage, I saw that Ryan actually got pushed out of the ring (but without falling into a pit) and went back in. Bzzzt! Disqualified! It appears that Jade was the real winner. Congrats, Jade!

Eight bagheads play a round of pitfall sumo in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

After that, we posed for pictures near Godzilla, jumped on the pillars, visited Rainbow Road, and then dived off it into the ocean. ๐Ÿ˜› Around 5:20, I ended the session. Thanks to everyone who came! I had fun! ๐Ÿ™‚ Many of today’s activities will end up in the next Wi-Fi Moments video.

Later on, I checked out K.K. Slider’s show and he performed K.K. Technopop for me. Unfortunately, that’s one of the worst live songs he plays. Fortunately, the aircheck is much better.

That’s all for now, but I’ll see you all again soon. Have a great day!

  1. Remember the NES games that you could collect on animal crossing GameCube. What ones did you have and what one was your favorite.

    1. I think I had all of them except for the ones that required the e-Reader or cheat devices. My favorites were Excitebike and Donkey Kong.

  2. I should check my campsite as well. I don’t know about you guys, but all I get are mice, hippo’s and ducks. And none of them are pretty. I got limberg, bitty and denna. Limberg is ugly change my mind. Anyway here are my dreamies for new leaf and new horizons:
    New leaf: Sprinkle
    Marshall(not because he’s tier 1)
    Whitney
    Flurry
Meringue (name is hard to spell๐Ÿ˜‚)
    Diana
    Hans
    Julian
    And for new horizons:
    Audie
    Raymond
    Marshall
    Chief
    Leonardo the tiger, or lepord?๐Ÿ˜•
    Rudy
    Pecan
    That snooty hamster(forgot name)
    Fauna
    And I neeeeeed Julian
If anyone would like me 2 adopt these let me know right away.

  3. Being from Europe I was getting a lot of lag in the sumo and frog races. Probably why I kept coming in last!

  4. Yesterday in new horizons, I got cube, my favourite villagers photo!
If you want a tip on increasing friendship, its that villagers like gifts, but if they sell for over 2,500 bells, they like it more. So, if you craft them an iron wall lamp/hanging terrarium, and wrap it, you get a lot of friendship points. My first iron wall lamp got me cubes photo, and the villagers wont hang it up so the house is the same. Just a tip. And if you use it and mention it in a video, can you mention me, if thats ok? Also whats the newest video going to be?

  5. Oh I miss my Velma so much. She asked to leave like three times and I eventually allowed her, but the girl who adopted erased her game data so I don’t think my Velma is โ€œaliveโ€ anymore.

I asked for โ€œTwo Days Agoโ€ today, and added a bunch of music players at my main street-esque area for them to play โ€œAnimal Cityโ€. I was wondering, what are some โ€œobscureโ€ K.K. recommendations? By that I mean just not so popular songs that you like a lot. I think I read somewhere you said Steppe Hill is your favorite, mine probably is K.K. Moody.

    1. Steep Hill is one of my favorites (I don’t have a single favorite, just a bunch that I like a lot). K.K. Condor and K.K. Faire are a couple others that I don’t think are super popular.

  6. Lets go I got disqualified from a game of sumo :p

But actually woops I thought it only counted if you fell in a pitfall lol. Thanks for hosting it was lots of fun!

    1. Haha, it doesn’t happen very often…but I have seen it before. There have been some times in ACCF Wi-Fi Moments, where people have been pushed and lagged out of the ring without falling in a pitfall…just like you did. Sorry, I’ll have to take back your zero bell prize winnings. ๐Ÿ˜‰
