Scaring Midge

I received a letter from Gulliver in the mail, and he sent me a geisha wig for helping him out yesterday. I would say that’s disappointing, but I’ve reached the point where I wasn’t expecting anything good from him anyway, so I’m not all that surprised. 😛

Leif was in town, and I bought some rose seeds from him. Rose seeds are very rare in Forest, so I was glad they finally showed up. I want to start breeding some roses other than black and gold, so I planted a few in my flower garden.

Leif: Is there anything else I can do for you, my friend?

Nook’s Cranny had a shaved-ice maker, so I bought one for Hornsby and wrapped it up.

When I ran into Rizzo, he told me he got in a fight with Hornsby. (I’m sure it was all Rizzo’s fault! 😉). He asked me to deliver an apology gift for him, so I agreed to help out. I took the gift (a camo tee) over to Hornsby, and he seemed to like it. In return, he gave me…a shaved-ice maker. So then I gave him the wrapped gift I already had for him in my pockets.

Hornsby: Wait a second! Are you kidding me? A shaved-ice maker?!

So yes, we exchanged shaved-ice makers, but it wasn’t the same one. 😛 Anyway, he gave me an arcade seat in return.

Over near town hall, Midge said she saw me with an axe and got scared!

Midge: Oh! Sorry... I saw you with an axe just now, and guess I got spooked.
You should be more spooked by the killer clown to your right.

Why were you spooked, Midge? You think I would hurt you? I thought we were friends!

I went diving in the ocean, and it took me 12 dives to find a scallop. Pascal popped up to tell me that eyeballs are like windows for the brain to look outside. 😀 He gave me a pearl for the scallop.

Pascal: Eyeballs are like windows so your brain can look outside, and your brain needs that sunshine, maaan!

I played later on to check for Celeste or Wisp, but no luck. I haven’t seen Wisp in eight days and I haven’t seen Celeste in 16 days! Has anyone else noticed not seeing them as much lately? Not sure if Nintendo made a change to their frequency or if I’m just unlucky lately. Well, I don’t even care about Wisp that much, but I really miss Celeste because I’m trying to get her DIY recipes.

As you know, all villagers in New Horizons are technically islanders. But it wasn’t always that way. Originally, islanders were a separate set of animals that could only live on an island separate from your town. Here’s a video that takes a look back at the original Animal Crossing islanders on GameCube.

See you all next time!
