Grass Returns

Yesterday, I found Gullivarrr on the beach. I went diving and retrieved his communicator for him.

Gullivarrr stands up.

Near the plaza, I listened in on a conversation between Bones and Louie. Bones wanted to know how Louie was so charming all the time. Wait…Louie? Charming? Him?

Bones: Man, Louie, how are you so charming all the time?

Louie said he regularly does cheek exercises that give him a clean, refreshing smile. Uh, if you say so. šŸ˜›

It was the last day for snow cover on the ground, so I made myself one last snowboy in Sudden Valley. So long, winter!

My last snowboy of the season.

The latest game update arrived last night, but I didn’t play until today. Nintendo sent a letter with a mushroom mural (animated Mario wallpaper) as a thanks for downloading the update. I also received my reward from Gullivarrr, a pirate rug–which looks like a treasure map! Here’s a look at both items.

A blossom lantern is now available as a seasonal item. Be sure to order it by March 3rd!

The blossom lantern, available until 3/3.

On the daily newscast, Isabelle noted that we can now start harvesting young spring bamboo.

And of course, the snow is now gone! Woohoo! I spotted Celeste up on Eagle Mountain, and she taught me the DIY recipe for a Pisces lamp.

SWEET! I learned

I also checked in on my snowboy. He’s starting to melt, but at least he lived to see spring.

Friday Night Forest is tomorrow! Check back late Friday (or Saturday morning) for the blog entry.

  1. I just noticed you can use the barbed wire fence and decorate the dump from gamecube! You can even put your extra diys you dont want if you have friends who visit your island! I was actually surprised you didnt think of this first!

    1. I’ve seen some dumps already, including one in a dream town I visited. They look really nice, but I’m not trying to recreate a GameCube town. And I haven’t even been saving extra DIYs for friends lately, since we’ve reached a point where most people have most of them anyway.

      1. Oh I didnt know that! Just thought that was something was a interesting idea..I actually made something like it on my island, I have a little crafting area with some extra diys even thought no one visits me much..

  2. iā€™m in europe, and instead of the blossom lantern the Hinaningyo is available? i guess it varies where you are in the world like for new years i had fizzy apple juice instead of cider

    1. Apparently, this isn’t a regional thing. Instead, they’re just offering one of the items each day (today, I had the Hinaningyo listed). I’m not sure if it alternates or if it’s random which one you get, but I’m not a fan of the way they’re doing this. If they want them to be available on random days, they should be sold in the shop IMO.
