I caught this yellow butterfly today, and it sure didn’t look like anything special…

But in fact, it was my 5,000th bug caught. So that earned me 3,000 Nook Miles, and I’ve now completed the “You’ve Got the Bug” achievements.

This also means I can probably put away my rotten turnip to draw ants, and I can stop catching every bug I see. 😛

When I visited Apple, she complimented me on my frog tee. She said I look so active, so physical, so tired, and…so sweaty? Does it make me look like I’m about to croak or something?

Louie said he was watching me swing my net a lot yesterday, and he wants to introduce me to some friends of his. He said they’re a network for net work.

Celeste was in town, and she taught me a DIY recipe for a space shuttle!

At the obstacle course, I’ve made some minor cosmetic changes to the dungeon and galaxy areas. Now that I have more design slots available, I made half-space versions of the ground tiles there. That allows the dungeon and space patterns to go all the way up to the fence. Here’s the before and after pics of the Galaxy area.

Louie’s birthday is tomorrow, so I’ll be back with another entry then. But there’s no Friday Night Forest this week.

Last night, Rizzo asked me for a new greeting. I told him to say “Trap me, hit me, kill me!”

He said he liked the sound of it, but I could tell he wasn’t really happy with it. Too bad, rat. 😛

C.J. was in town, so I completed his seasports challenge and then sold him 50,000 bells worth of fish.

Apollo gave me a free bicycle helmet, and he really didn’t care what I did with it. He said I could paint it purple and throw it in the sea for all he cared. 😂

Label was in town, and she wanted to see me wearing a formal outfit. She gave me a work shirt as an example of what to try for. I checked the clothes I had in storage, and I decided that my best bet was a pilot’s uniform and pilot’s cap. I didn’t have matching shoes, but I grabbed some wedding shoes because I knew they would qualify as formal.

I returned to Label, and she said the outfit was perfect! She gave me a Labelle dress.

Tybalt was sick with a cold, so I bought some medicine for him shortly before the store closed for the night. Tybalt thanked me by giving me a printed layered shirt. Get well soon!

When I visited Tia today, I was a bit surprised to see that her house is turning into an aquarium! She has fish stacked on fish.

At 9:00, I went over to Logan’s town, Moonscar. He was having a New Horizons anniversary party of his own. Alex from Pawnee, Timo, Jed, Nicky, Jesse, and Jj also joined in. Logan made a Mario obstacle course too, and Jesse raced against Alex.

After that, we went up to the movie theater and watched a movie about wind turbines. I wasn’t a fan; the movie blows. 😛

Next, we had a fish/bug/sea creature-catching competition. I learned from last night that diving is the best way to go. So I put my wet suit on and hopped into the ocean. By the time the ten minutes was up, I caught one fish and 20 sea creatures…I actually won!

But I lucked out that Timo didn’t participate; Timo is always really good at these things.

We went to the shop to sell our catches, and I tried on a new hat while I was there. Even though it was plenty big enough, it still pinched my head.

We hung out in Logan’s house for a while, and then Jj left. The rest of us went outside and took a group photo.

Shortly after that, Nami joined in. We visited Logan’s 2nd house (which belongs to Luigi), and then we played some museum tag. But after a couple rounds, somebody disconnected, and Logan ended the party.

When I returned to Forest, Apollo asked for a new greeting. I told him to say “It’s showtime!”

Wisp was in town, so I gathered up his spirits in return for a lawn chair. And before I shut off the game for the night, I finally picked up my Festivale stages and put them in storage. Without the ability to use them as colored spotlights during K.K. shows, I have no need for them now. 😛
