A Million Miles

Jolly Redd was in town yesterday, so I boarded his ship to see what he was selling. He had two real pieces of art and two forgeries. Unfortunately, both real ones were things that I already had in the museum!

Jolly Redd's selection of items on April 20, 2021.

So I decided to buy a fake rock-head statue, for possible use as a town decoration. (I already use one of them atop the waterfall in Donkey Kong Country.)

Today, Leif was in town, selling shrubs and seeds at the plaza. I bought a few red lily seeds from him.

Leif: You gotta do what makes you happy. I'll be here if you need me.

Midge was talking about taking trips, asking if I like to plan them out or just… wing it. 😛

Midge: When you're going on a trip, you can either wing it or plan out everything. What's your style?

Surprisingly, she said that she likes to plan them in advance. So the bird doesn’t like to wing it.

I noticed that I had about 991,000 Nook Miles. Since not much was going on in town, I thought I would work towards some Nook Miles+ goals. I’ve been wanting to get up to a million (or 999,999, if that was the max), so I decided to find out. I caught bugs, caught fish, chopped wood, watered flowers, went diving, sold fruit, crafted items, and so on.

Claim! Claim! Claim! Claim! Claim!

I continued until I met my goal. My last goal was for selling fruit, and it kicked my balance over one million miles. So yes, the total keeps going even above a million.

1,000,110 Nook Miles

Yesterday, I posted a new video taking a look at the exclusive favors in each Animal Crossing game. Here it is, if you’re interested and haven’t seen it yet:

I’ll have another (short) video coming up tomorrow. And FYI, I’m not planning on having Friday Night Forest this week.

  1. Hey Jeff great blogs as always I need to ask you a question: how do you make your tree in acnl grow bigger? Because I’ve been playing since October 2020 and I can’t sit on the tree and take a look down memory lane… anyways if you know the answer please respond, thanks

    1. Apparently you need to play the game for 50 days and a total of 50 hours before you can sit on the tree. Just keep playing every day and hopefully you’ll get it soon!

  2. I was wondering if it would go over 1 million. I almost never use my Nook Miles and I know I would eventually get there even though I have around 400 thousand.

  3. Did you know that you can check the weather in ACNH by using a TV? If you check a TV at 6:30 PM (6:45 PM on Saturdays), there will be a weather broadcast going on, telling the weather for the next day. It will always be correct. There are 7 different types of weather you can get:
Sunny: It will be indicated by a sun signaling that it will be sunny all day the next day.
Sunny then Cloudy: It will be indicated by both a sun and cloud signaling that it will be sunny during the day, however, it will be cloudy during night and it can even rain!
Cloudy then Sunny: It will be indicated by both a Cloud and Sun signaling it will be rainy in the morning but sunny for the rest of the day! You will only find rainbows with this pattern.
Cloudy: It will be indicated by just a cloud, meaning that it will be cloudy all day. It may or may not rain with this pattern.
Rainy then Cloudy: Same with Cloudy then Sunny except after the rain ends, it will be cloudy for the rest of the day, and you won’t find any rainbows. Indicated by Umbrella and Cloud
Cloudy then Rainy: In the morning, it will be cloudy. However, it will rain for the rest of the day. Indicated by a cloud and umbrella.
Rainy: Indicated by an Umbrella, it will rain for most of the day. However, there will be some rain breaks.
Hopefully, this guide will help you!

    1. Yeah, I remember this feature from previous games. Even though I don’t use it very often, it’s a helpful thing to have in the game!

        1. For me, knowing the weather beforehand isn’t as useful as it was in previous games (now that flowers no longer need to be watered).
