Fish Ears?

On Thursday, Bones told me that he wants to start learning jujitsu. However, he didn’t know where he could find some books about it. Hmm, has he looked through all the hundreds of books in his house?

Bones: So I guess I got some readin' up to do first. But I dunno where to find books about it.

There was some beef Stu up at the campsite, but I didn’t have an appetite for the guy. (Maybe if I had some broth and a potato.)

Stu: Do you camp? You gotta try it sometime. It's like being inside, except you're outside, mrooooo!
But you actually are inside.

At Able Sisters today, they had an Alice in Wonderland dress (apparently called an adventure dress) on display in the window. I thought that was pretty cool, even if it doesn’t exactly suit me. ♣️♥️♠️♦️

An adventure dress (based on Alice in Wonderland) appears in the display window of Able Sisters.

Bones asked me if fish have ears. The reason for his question was even stranger than the question itself: Every time he eats fish, he’s afraid there could be bugs hiding in the fish’s ears. And he doesn’t want to eat bugs, because bugs are his friends. 😛

Bones: I can't eat bugs! Too many of my friends are bugs!

It was K.K. Slider night, and the singing dog performed K.K. Condor for me and Apple. It’s one of my (many) favorites.

K.K.: Right on. I'm tuned up and ready to roll. Who's in the mood for a little K.K. Condor?
Two or three of you may remember it as the oooooOOOOOoooooo song.

Last month, I pointed out that (at the time), villagers that were not seated would disappear once K.K. Slider’s performance started. That is no longer the case, as I saw Eloise and Midge walk through the “stage” area tonight.

If you haven’t already seen it, my latest video compares pitfall dialogue throughout the Animal Crossing series. Check it out if you’re interested!

I hope you’re all having a great day! Enjoy the rest of your weekend, and I’ll see you next time!

More Villager Art

Yesterday (Tuesday), I found Gullivarrr washed up on the beach. I went diving for his phone, and found it on my 4th try. I returned it to him.

Some new seasonal items are now available, including the cucumber horse and eggplant cow (those items will apparently alternate, so check Nook Shopping on separate days to obtain them both).

Cucumber horse: 500 bells.

Today, Gullivarrr sent me another pirate bandanna; this is the 4th one he’s given me! And yet, he’s still only sent one pirate-ship cannon. Why not send more of the cool stuff, Gullivarrr? …If that is your real name.

But I received something else in the mail that more than made up for my Gullivarrr disappointment: Louie sent me some art! Just three days after Apollo sent me a tremendous statue, Louie sent me a valiant statue.

Get pumped, touchdown! I found this really awesome art thing when I was out on patrol the other night. I asked around and nobody claimed it, so I'm gifting it to you for all the awesome stuff you're always doing for us. Stay muscular! -Louie

Not only that, but it was an authentic work of art! And one that I needed for the museum as well! How lucky!

Saharah was in town today. Since I’ve been ignoring her lately, I decided I was overdue to buy some stuff from her today. I ended up with a simple medium brown mat, shutter wall, monochromatic wavy rug, ocean-horizon wall, and dark-chocolates flooring.

Forest desperately needs some new blood; it’s been nearly four months since a new villager moved in (Eloise, in April). I’ve been waiting for Midge to ask to leave, but so far she hasn’t. So I’m thinking about letting Tia go if she asks next. I like both Midge and Tia, but I don’t want to keep everyone forever. Things get a bit stale when your villagers never change.

Tybalt has a birthday coming up later this month, so I don’t want him to leave just yet. But I might soon be adding him to that list too, especially if nobody else leaves. We’ll see!

A Tremendous Gift

Yesterday, Apollo sent me a tremendous statue in the mail. I figured it was probably fake, since most art from villagers seems to be counterfeit. But I took it up to Blathers just in case, and I was quite surprised when he told me it was the real deal! 😮

But interestingly, it’s not displayed with most of the statues on the left side of the art gallery. Instead, it’s displayed in the bottom-right corner.

Thanks, Apollo!

The 2nd fireworks festival of the year was held last night, and Tia was having the time of her life.

Tia: I'm having so much fun!

Over at the plaza, Isabelle gave me a heart bopper, and I took a seat to enjoy the fireworks for a while.

I also bought a few more items from Jolly Redd. But this time, I seemed to be getting mostly fireworks instead of edible items.

Today, Bones seems to have figured out that he’s just a character in a video game! 😮

Bones: They say the island is just a game. And everything we say? Or do? It's just to amuse somebody else!

But after his long speech filled with great examples of clues he should have picked up on, he said he was just joking. 😛

Flick was in town, so I grabbed nine bugs out of storage and sold them for 102,000 bells.

Flick: Ahem. Can I offer you, say, 102,000 bells for the bunch of them?

I posted a new video yesterday, taking a look at some additional typos and mistakes that I’ve encountered in the Animal Crossing series. I hope you enjoy it!

See you next time!
