Getting Nothing But Static

Yesterday, I found a lost item on the ground. It was a bag with some gym clothes inside. Now that Louie is the only remaining jock in town, I knew the bag belonged to him. So I took it over, and he rewarded me with a figure-skating costume.

I bought a cute bed at Nook’s Cranny, and I wrapped it up and gave it to Marina. She enjoyed it so much that she gave me her photo in return! 😮

Marina: I have something here for you... Marina's photo.

I took it home and put it in my house. Her favorite quote on the back is “If you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all.” This is my 14th villager photo.

After I finished making my rounds, I grabbed six Nook Miles tickets and headed to the airport. However, I wouldn’t need all of those tickets. On the very first island I visited, I spotted my long-time GameCube buddy, Static the squirrel! I immediately invited him to Forest.

Static: Are you really askin' me to move to Forest? That's...quite an invite!

I completed a few Nook Miles+ goals while I was there, and I also picked up as many weeds as I could. When I returned to Forest, I ran into Wisp. I gathered up his spirits and he gave me some tatami (flooring).

Today, I went over to meet the newest resident of Apple Lane. Welcome to Forest, Static!

Static: Heya, Jeff! Surprised?

Celeste was in town tonight, and she gave me a large star fragment. I think this confirms that I’ve finally received all of her recipes.

Celeste, handing over a large star fragment: What a sight, wouldn't you agree? Anyhoo, it was so lovely, I wanted to share it with you, Jeff!

At the plaza, Eloise, Hornsby, and Louie were grilling some food. It smelled delicious! 😉

Saharah was in town, so I bought the mysterious wallpaper and carpeting. It turns out that they matched! It was the white-chocolate wall and the white-chocolates flooring. But I just sold them to the Nooklings since I don’t have much storage space free.

If you haven’t yet heard the news, Nintendo has confirmed that The Roost will be coming to New Horizons (accessible through the museum) in November. And that’s not all; we’re getting an Animal Crossing dedicated Nintendo Direct in October! That seems to indicate that we’re finally getting a significant update to the game! Sweet!

Tybalt to Join Circus

On Sunday, Tia told me that she packs her own lunch every day, and she likes to draw funny faces on her apple. She said her dad used to do it, so she has continued the tradition. 😛 That’s such a cute story.

Tia: It's just so nice to open up my lunch and see it smiling back at me. That's a treat for my eyes and my tummy!

Wisp was in town, and I gathered up his spirits for him. In return, he gave me a yellow-striped wall. I think Agent S could feel Wisp’s presence, because she started talking about “ghosts and stuff.”

Agent S: It's like that TV show I used to watch that was all about ghosts and stuff... It was called Ghosts 'n' Stuff.

Yesterday, Tybalt told me he’s been thinking about moving away.

Tybalt: It pains me to say it, bud, but I've been thinking about leaving this island, like a tiger.

I took several minutes to think about it…and I eventually decided to let him go. I like him a lot, but he’s had a nice, 14-month stay in Forest.

I later ran into Tybalt again, having a conversation with Apple. It started out with Apple saying “Mirror, mirror, on the wall, who is the cutest of us all?” Then Tybalt responded that he is the cutest. It was just like the conversation I heard between Apple and Louie before. But time time, it had a different ending! The jock (Tybalt, in this case) said he ate too much and apologized for being rude.

Tybalt: That would be He Who Ate Too Much. Sorry. I'm ad at myself and taking it out on you!

Apple congratulated him on his improv work. I was just happy to see a new ending to an old story. 😛

Today, I said goodbye to my buddy Tybalt. He told me he’s going to join the circus. 😀

Tybalt: I think I'm gonna join the circus. I'd be an awesome strong man.

He thinks he’s going to be the strong man. I didn’t have the heart to tell him he’s probably just going to be the tiger. 😛 But good luck to you, Tybalt!

I may do some island hopping tomorrow to hunt for a new villager. Or I could end up rolling the dice with a random move-in. We’ll see.

I posted a new video today, comparing the number of special characters in New Horizons and Wild World. Give it a watch if you’re interested!

Moving Painting

Yesterday, I received my moving painting in the mail from Jolly Redd. I donated it to the museum, and Blathers confirmed that it was authentic. So I went into the art gallery, and I was surprised to find Louie there already, taking a long, hard look at it.

Louie stares at the moving painting.
I guess it really moved him.

By the way, it’s good to see that villagers can be found in the museum again. I’ll need to keep that in mind the next time I can’t find someone.

Gulliver was in town yesterday, so I gathered up his phone pieces for him. And then today, I received my reward in the mail: It was a turban.

I found a depressed hamster named Rodney at the campsite today. He just looked sooo bored.

Rodney: Ahoy. Rodney is my name, and traveling, doing brainteasers, and dance are my passions three.
Yeah, I can see the passion on your face.

K.K. Slider was in town for his usual Saturday night show, and I asked him to play a random song. He performed K.K. Country for me, Apollo, Agent S, and Louie.

I found a lost item on the ground near Apple’s house, and it was a bag with a simple design. I asked Marina about it, and she said it look like Tia’s bag. So I took it over to Tia’s house and gave it to her. She thanked me for returning it, and she rewarded me with a basic teacher’s desk.

Tia: I didn't think I'd see this again. I feel like I owe you big time!
Bones was also visiting Tia, as you can see.

After that, I completed a few Nook Miles+ goals, and then wrapped up my night in Forest. I hope you’re all doing well.
