While I was in my house on Sunday, Apollo barged in. He apparently smelled my french fries. 🍟
Oddly enough, he decided to leave after just 40 seconds! But just half an hour later, I ran into Apollo again on Rainbow Road. He asked to visit my house! I wasn’t paying close attention to the dialogue, and I said yes. So he came over again…and this time, he stayed for 15 minutes! Ugh!
He even said my room is different than what he expected. I had put some pancakes on my table in between his visits, but otherwise, the room was the same. He did give me a jockey’s helmet, but I don’t care about that.
At my outdoor kitchen, I made some pumpkin soup…and perhaps the Halloween-y smell of the pumpkins brought out a ghost! Wisp came over and seemed to beg for some soup. 😛
I didn’t give him any soup, but I did gather up his spirits for him. In return, he gave me some office materials.
By the way, my storage has now been increased to hold 4,000 items. Even though there is one more upgrade (up to 5,000 items), it costs 1.2 million bells and I’m not in a hurry to purchase it.
Today (Monday), I found a lost item on the ground. Surprisingly, I was able to reunite with its owner Static in just 20 seconds or so! He rewarded me with some ski goggles, and I decided to put them on, since it was snowing in town.
I recently purchased a robot arm at Nook’s Cranny, for a whopping price of 130,000 bells. It has a surface where you can place a small item, and there’s a robotic arm that moves around. It reminds me of the “Screwbot Factory” mini-game from Rhythm Heaven Fever.
I put a gyroid up on it. I’m not sure if this robotic arm is assembling the gyroid or about to torture it, but it’s pretty unique either way. 😛
I later visited Static at his house, and he informed me that he was once a famous water skiing squirrel!
That’s pretty funny, because there actually is (or was, until recently) a famous water skiing squirrel that would appear at various boat shows. I just didn’t realize that Twiggy the water-skiing squirrel was really Static in disguise! 😉
At town hall, I paid 10,000 bells to demolish a bridge. I’d like to start replacing some of my basic log bridges with some nicer-looking bridges.
After I had some coffee at the Roost, Brewster gave me another item: a siphon.
Vendors on Harv’s Island had new inventory for the week, including Jolly Redd. I purchased a beautiful statue that I’m pretty sure is real. He also had a motherly statue that I felt good about, but I didn’t have any previous photos of one to compare it to. But I’ll probably be buying that later in the week too.
i’ve found that if a villager asks to visit you, you should talk to them once in each of your rooms. they will ask to leave soon after you have talked in the last room. also when a villager barges in they will usually spend a lot less time with you.
Yeah, I’ve done that before, but I’m not always in the mood for it. I find it annoying, to be honest. And one time, I showed Bones all my rooms and he still sent a letter saying he’d like to see the rest of my house. 😛
Fifteen minutes sounds an awful long time, does NH have the villagers scheduling visits for later in the day as per NL?
That has to be one if the most hateful features in the whole Animal Crossing series?
I haven’t seen the scheduling thing in New Horizons. They always want to come right away.
lmao, wisp looks so cute begging for soup
