Tucker’s Dig Site

Eloise recently asked me for a new greeting. So I told her to say “Quick! Get in my trunk!”

Eloise: Quick! Get in my trunk!!

Just as a heads-up, there’s a new seasonal item available: It’s a Venetian carnival mask for the Carnival of Venice. It’s available now through March 1st, for a cost of 2,400 bells.

The Venetian carnival mask.

I went out to Lottie’s island tonight, and I visited the school. I spoke with the teacher (Sprocket), and he told me I should grow my own plumeria as my “homework.” He gave me a white-plumeria start.

Vivian (one of the students in class) told me that she’d volunteer to read out loud, except that she’s afraid she would mispronounce a word. 😛

Vivian, at school: Maybe I should raise my hand to read out loud... But if I mispronounce a word, I'd have to leave in disgrace!

Back out on the beach, I was surprised to find Leif! He said he was giving a talk about flowers at the school, so I attended the class too. He spoke about hybrids, and he said that I can now use hybrid flowers in my clients’ yards.

Leif, teaching a class: Everyone here will now be able to decorate with hybrid flowers in any yard they want. Isn't that special?

After the class, I went back outside. Tucker the woolly mammoth wanted a place to study archaeology; I agreed to help out, and the rest was history.

Tucker insisted on using a forbidden altar, a spaceman ancient statue, and a stone arch. I placed them all outside in his yard. I put the statue on the altar, and made a path leading up to it. I also lined it with bushes. The right half of the yard has a cave and a dig site. I used a handcart, creepy skeleton, a couple of shovels, and several pots and vases that he supposedly dug up. I like how this turned out.

It’s too bad that I can’t use cliffs (at least not yet?) to put the dig site on a lower level.

For the inside of the house, I used the dig-site wall, dig-site flooring, a camping cot, a lantern, several pieces of stone furniture, and some more treasures that I’m pretending Tucker unearthed.

Once I finished up, Lottie paid me 9,000 Poki for the job. See you all next time!

School is in Session

K.K. Slider was in town tonight, and he performed Soulful K.K. for me and Eloise. I just heard this song in City Folk two weeks ago, so I’m a bit tired of it. 😛

K.K.: Right on. I'm tuned up and ready to roll. Who's in the mood for a little Soulful K.K.?

The Nooklings were only paying 46 bells for turnips today. But since Saturday is the last day to sell them, I sold them at a loss. I never saw the prices above 100 all week. Granted, I don’t play in the mornings, but still I’ve had bad luck two of the last three times I’ve bought turnips.

Not much was going on in town, so I went out to Lottie’s island to work. Lottie told me she had something different for me to do this time: She was ready to turn that empty building into a school! We went over to the site, and she told me how to change the dimensions of a room. I turned it into a 10 x 8 classroom.

I added some school desks, basic school chairs, some upright lockers for the back of the classroom, a chalkboard, a skeleton, an anatomical model, and of course a desk and chair for the teacher.

My classroom design in Happy Home Paradise.

When I was done, Lottie told me it was time to choose a teacher (from among the animals that I’ve designed vacation houses for). Sprocket was the default choice, so I stuck with him. Lottie also asked me to name the school, and I called it Aja Blu Academy.

Sprocket is the teacher in my classroom.
I wonder what Olivia is reading. 😮

When I was done taking photos in the classroom, we also went outside to take a photo of the schoolhouse exterior.

The outside of the schoolhouse.

With the job done, Lottie paid me 25,000 Poki for completing my first facility. Just as in Happy Home Designer, I enjoy making facilities more than houses.

I posted a new, short video today. It shows what it might look like if your Animal Crossing character could see one second into the future. 😉 I hope you enjoy it!

See you all next time!

Visiting Miitomo

On Wednesday, C.J. was in town with a seasports challenge for me. He wanted me to catch three big-time fish in a row, so I caught a sturgeon, a football fish, and a red snapper. I sold those three fish to C.J. for 23k, and then I got another 184k worth of fish out of storage for him.

Yesterday, Beau was camping at the campsite. He’s cute, but I didn’t ask him to stick around.

Beau, at the campsite: It's a buncha fun camping on this island. The air smells good, like food. I wanna bite it, saltlick!

Label was in town, and she wanted to see me in some “everyday clothing.” I had no idea what would qualify as everyday clothing, but logically, it seemed like almost anything would work. Well maybe not a suit of armor or frog suit, but any regular-ish clothes. So I kept the same clothes on (I just took off my hat and put it back on), and she said it was fashion perfection. 😛 She gave me another Labelle skirt.

Today, Static told me that he lost something. I found the lost item (a pouch), and he rewarded me with a fired-up kanji tee.

As I was chopping down some trees on a mysterious island, TZ sent out a message to her best friends that she was opening her gate and anyone was welcome in her town of Miitomo. So I decided to surprise her and drop by for a visit. She joked that it was Friday Night Miitomo instead of Friday Night Forest. 😛

Even though I’ve dreamed of Miitomo before, I think this was my first time visiting “in person.” TZ has updated her town quite a bit since then, so she gave us a tour. Here’s the (headless) angel fountain.

T Zelda: Angel fountain.

And this is her pink castle.

T Zelda's pink castle.

We also checked out her house, and I loved the Baby Brewster! But I think he was crying for pigeon milk.

Baby Brewster!

TZ bought us all some coffee at the Roost, and then she gave us some food and ice cream. Thanks, TZ!

Eating some ice cream with TZ and friends.

I had a good time in Miitomo tonight. Thanks to TZ and her friends! 🙂
