Ankha’s Photo

Yesterday was Valentine’s Day, and received a bunch of valentines in the mail from my villagers and Isabelle. So I ended up with a lot of heart-shaped bouquets and chocolate hearts. However, I forgot to get my hot chocolate from Brewster at the Roost.

I’ve been continuing to give Ankha gold rose wreaths lately. Not only are the gold roses a renewable crafting material, but they’re pretty valuable and won’t mess up Ankha’s house. At worst, she’ll replace the gold rose wreath on her door with an identical one. 😉 So it’s a good system, and my work paid off today: Ankha rewarded me with her photo!

Ankha: How can I thank you... Ah! Why don't you take this reward of Ankha's photo?

I put it in my house. Ankha’s favorite quote is “All that glitters is not gold.”

Behold Ankha's photo.
Behold!

Festivale is coming up on Monday, and some of my villagers are already talking about getting ready for the event. Static even mentioned getting out some spangly outfits! 😆

Static: And maybe clean my spangly outfits while I'm at it. They've done nothin' but gather dust since last Festivale...

Label was in town, and she wanted to see me in some vacation clothes. That’s a theme I’ve always struggled with, so I searched my blog to see what worked for me before. I put on the top coat that Label gave me as an example, and I also added some soccer shorts, a skateboarding helmet, and Moccasin boots. I passed the fasion check, and Label gave me some Labelle shorts.

Label: Oh, wow! You've really captured the vacation look. Even the details are on point.

Here are a few other quick notes about this week:

  • On Sunday, Wisp gave me a dreamy hanging decoration.
  • Sasha gave me a retro coat for returning his lost item.
  • On Monday, Celeste gave me a large star fragment.

Even though this next thing is about the original GameCube game and not New Horizons, I posted a new video today that I’ve been working on for quite a while. It shows all 218 villager homes in that game, and a brief note about each one. For example, only one villager has an Arwing in their home, and one villager’s house is basically a public restroom with a bunch of toilets! I’ve put a lot of work into this video, and I’d appreciate if you could check it out. Thank you! 😊

See you all next time! Never Stop Crossing! 🙂

  1. Hey, Jeff!
How exactly did you put together this video? How much time did it take and what was your process? It is amazing!

    1. Well I originally saved the clips back in 2018/9 when I was looking for specific animals for my video about villagers that never returned. Since I was restarting so many towns, I decided to save clips of their houses too. Tracking everyone down took dozens of hours, if not more.

It wasn’t until recently that I finally put those clips together and wrote the descriptions for each one. (I tried to make a pun or rhyme, or find a unique fact about each one, when possible.) That took quite a few hours too, but recording the clips was the hardest part. Glad you enjoyed the video! 🙂

  2. You did a great job on the video Jeff! I’m sure it did take a lot of effort but that’s some solid ac content. Thank you!
