Pascals & Campers

On Monday, Pascal shared some very logical thoughts about afterthoughts with me.

Pascal: Afterthoughts are still thoughts. They just come after other thoughts.

A frog named Raddle was camping up at the campsite. He appeared to be a doctor, and yet he was eating a donut. 🍩

Raddle, at the campsite: Hi there! Are you from this island? I'm here camping.

Yesterday, I again encountered Pascal again while diving. This time, he told me to live my life one scallop at a time.

Pascal: Live your life one scallop at a time. The rest is just details.

Today, there was another camper in town. I’m starting to notice a pattern with this blog entry: Pascal, camper, Pascal, camper. 😛 Ed the horse was today’s camper, and I played a quick card game with him. I guessed the suit of the card he picked, and my choice was correct!

Ed: Whoa! It's a diamond!

So I won his coverall coat. Also, I should point out that this is the third time I’ve seen Ed camping in Forest!

At the plaza tonight, K.K. Slider performed K.K. Bashment for me, Louie, Agent S, Ankha, and Merengue.

K.K.: Feeling downbeat, huh? Well, let me lay that beat down, K.K. Bashment style.

Here are a few other quick notes about this week:

  • On Wednesday, I bought some impish wings from Kicks, and I put them on.
  • Yesterday, I completed C.J.’s seasports challenge and then sold 19 fish to him for a total of 134,025 bells.
  • Last night, I wished on a bunch of shooting stars. Today, I found 12 star fragments and 4 Scorpius fragments on the beach.

Merengue’s Photo

On Sunday, I caught a scallop while diving, and Pascal popped up to ask for it. He started talking about coconuts, of all things. It was weird.

Pascal: Hard shell, milk on the inside, kinda hairy... Coconuts have a lot going on, maaan.
I wasn’t sure where he was going with that at first.

In exchange for the scallop, he gave me some mermaid shoes. That was different; he almost always just gives me pearls.

On Tuesday, I found three of my cutest villagers (Ketchup, Bob, and June) all singing (and swaying from side to side) in unison outside of Resident Services! It was so cute!

Today, I went afk after coming out of Able Sisters. Moments later, a balloon present flew by, completely blocking me from sight on-screen.

I returned to shoot the balloon down, and it had 5,000 bells inside. 💰

Over at my D.I.Y. workbench, I crafted a hyacinth lamp. I wrapped it up and gave it to Merengue. She loved it, and she gave me her photo in return!! What a sweet deal!

Merengue: As a thank-you, please take my Merengue's photo.
Thank you, Merengue!

I now have photos of all ten of my current villagers. 😁 I took her photo home and put it in my photo display room. Her favorite quote on the back is “Life is a piece of cake.” 🍰

Here are a few other quick notes from this week:

  • On Sunday night, K.K. performed K.K. D&B for me, Static, and Ketchup.
  • I helped out Gullivarrr on Monday, and he sent me a pirate-treasure crown the next day.
  • Tonight, K.K. performed K.K. Chorinho for me, Bones, Agent S, and Louie.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend! See you next time!

100 Million Bells

On Sunday (the day after being “purified”), Katrina sent me a lucky gold turtle figurine. So I did get an item from her after all! This is what it looks like:

On Wednesday, Anicotti the ugly Muppet mouse was camping at my campsite. I had zero interest in letting her move in. 😛

Anicotti, at the campsite: Hi there! I'm Anicotti! I'm here on a camping trip! You live on this island? Tres cool.

There was a heavy meteor shower last night, and I wished on a bunch of shooting stars.

Wishing on a shooting star.

As a result, I found 17 star fragments and three Libra fragments on the beach today.

The fall fishing tournament was underway this afternoon, so I gave it a go. On my first attempt, I caught six fish in the three-minute limit, which was good for eight points.

Reel it in! The Fishing Tourney is over!

C.J. paid me 2,250 bells for those six fish, and I decided to play again. But my second attempt was even worse: I only caught four fish, although I caught a 5th one at the buzzer that didn’t count. He paid me 5,580 for those fish. I then redeemed ten points for a reward, a fish doorplate.

Since he was in town though, I decided to get a bunch of fish out of storage for him. It included the last of my summer shark hauls. I sold the 32 fish to C.J. for 524,400 bells.

The 32 fish I sold to C.J.

That was a nice chunk of change, and I immediately went into town hall to deposit my money. Thanks to this influx of fishy bells, I was able to bump my savings balance up to 100 million bells for the first time!

Savings Balance: 100,000,000 bells.

This is the 2nd Animal Crossing game in which I’ve reached this milestone, with New Leaf being the other. Of course, bells were considerably harder to earn in the older games.

There isn’t a K.K. Slider concert tonight due to the tournament. But here are a few other quick notes about this past week:

  • I helped Gulliver on Tuesday, and he sent me another sombrero.
  • Flick was in town on Wednesday, and he paid me 97k for 19 bugs.
  • I returned a lost item to Bob yesterday, and he rewarded me with a delivery jacket.
  • I shot down a balloon present and found 30,000 bells inside. 💰
  • Today, I caught three banded dragonflies! I actually saw one other one too, but it got away.
