Toy Day, Zodiac Snake

First, just a quick heads-up that the zodiac snake figurine is now available in the “Special Goods” section of Nook Shopping. It can be ordered through January 5th, for just 1,600 bells. I ordered a few of them.

On Monday, I went out to Lottie’s Island to visit the hospital. But when I saw the beautiful sunset there, I had to stop for a few moments and just enjoy its beauty. 😍

Tuesday was Toy Day (Christmas Eve), so I made sure to find Jingle near the plaza.

Jingle: Ho HO!

I helped him out by crafting some wrapping paper, and he rewarded me with some Toy Day stockings. I hung them up in my house, and continued working on Jingle’s next request of delivering gifts to all of my villagers.

Static: Whaddays got in the bag, kiddo? You find some of Santa's old laundry? Heh, you like that one? Gahaha!
Yeah, and it’s got some static cling! You know anything about that?

A few of my villagers gave me gifts in return, but most did not. I successfully delivered gifts to all of my villagers.

Ankha: Oh! Was Santa indisposed, and you heroically swooped in to deliver presents in his stead? How dashing!

However, I made a mistake that I didn’t even realize until tonight as I’m writing this entry: I didn’t return to Jingle to get my reward (a Toy Day sleigh)! Oops! I forgot to wrap up the task, and I bet Jingle was snow disappointed in me!

Of course, I’ve completed the task before, and I have my four previous sleighs in storage already, so it’s not a huge deal. But still, I goofed. 😛

Oddly enough, I did remember something less obvious: I checked the stockings on Wednesday (Christmas Day) to find my photo of Jingle.

Jingle's photo was inside! How sneaky of Santa...

Louie asked me to play a treasure hunt game, and I found the treasure in just over a minute. Louie seemed shocked, and he gave me my prize: a shop uniform shirt.

Louie: You found it?

On Thursday, Huck the frog was camping over at the campsite. I was not interested in keeping him, so I sent him hopping on his way.

Huck, at the campsite: Heya! Are you from around here? I'm kinda on vacation, just relaxing and focus-grouping a few things...

Today, Agent S told me that sometimes she likes to take a deep breath and admire her garbage pail. 😆

Agent S: Sometimes I just stop what I'm doing, take a breath, and admire my garbage pail.

Here are a few other quick notes about this week:

  • On Wednesday, my savings balance reached 105 million bells.
  • Thursday, I made my 2nd perfect snowboy of the season. He sent me some ice flooring yesterday.
  • Agent S was sick with a cold yesterday, so I crafted her some medicine. She gave me a tee and towel in return.
  • I sold 26 bugs to Flick for a total of 123,750 bells.
  • Tonight, K.K. Slider performed “K.K. Fusion” for me and Static.

Have a happy New Year!

Ankha’s Darkest Memories

Decorated trees started appearing recently, and those trees can be shaken for ornaments. And of course, you can use those ornaments for crafting some holiday and winter items.

After failing at another snowboy on Monday, I finally made my first perfect snowboy of the season on Wednesday. ☃️

Snowboy: You're looking at pure snowfolk perfection right here. But you know that. You made me!

The next day, he sent me a frozen chair in the mail.

When I visited Bob today, he told me that he likes to fall asleep while staring at his Chinese-style meal. Why doesn’t he just eat it? 🤔

Bob: I like to fall asleep staring at my Chinese-style meal.

My chat with Ankha was surprisingly dark. She talked about some bad Toy Days of her youth, and she suggested that we exchange gifts wrapped in pretty paper this year. She said she’ll replace her darkest memories with happy new ones, even if by force! 😮

Ankha: I will replace my darkest memories with happy new ones, by FORCE if necessary, in my tomb.

Later, I ran into June over by the plaza (and fountains). She was really impressed by my Elf outfit! 🧝

June: That's one amazing creation! I'm impressed by anyone who can design something so stylish.

I got a light stick out of storage and then attended the Saturday night concert. I asked K.K. Slider for a random song, and he performed K.K. Adventure for me and Bones.

Here are a few other quick notes about this week:

  • On Sunday, I shot down a balloon present that contained 30,000 bells. 💰
  • Agent S was sick with a cold, so I gave her some medicine. She rewarded me with a sweatshirt.
  • Merengue gave me a festive wreath, so I put it on my front door for the holidays.
  • I returned a lost book to Rio, and she rewarded me with a mini straw boater.
  • On Thursday, I sold 16 fish to C.J. for 153,750 bells.
  • I helped out Gulliver yesterday, and he sent me another sombrero today.

I posted my latest New Horizons Moments video the other day. Here it is if you haven’t seen it yet:

Happy holidays, everyone! I’ll see you next time! 🎄

Snow Luck

On Monday, Pascal popped up out of the ocean and started talking about Cloud Nine. Or at least, he was wondering what was wrong with Clouds 1-8. 😛

Pascal: What's with the first eight clouds? Are they sorta good, but nothing to write home about, or what?
He gave me a pearl in exchange for my scallop.

On Tuesday, Static asked me if I had an ant on me! I sure hope not! 😆

Static: Would you happen to have an ant on you?
Yikes! Get it off, get it off! 😆

But seriously, he just wanted to buy an ant from me for 120 bells. Sure, no problem.

As of Wednesday, snow now covers the ground in Animal Crossing games. I attempted my first snowman snowboy of the season yesterday, but it didn’t go well. He wasn’t happy with how he turned out.

Snowboy: Almost! So, so close.

I tried again tonight, and I had the same result. If you include City Folk, I’m now 0-for-3 in snowmen this season so far! They’re all giving me the cold shoulder! I know I’m out of practice, but still, that’s pretty bad. 😆

My 2nd snowman of the season, which was also not quite perfect.

I figured that tonight would be a good knight night to finally change out of my Halloween costume. So I put on my Elf outfit for the holidays.

Here are a few other quick notes about this past week:

  • On Sunday night, Wisp gave me a vintage TV tray.
  • Tonight, I returned a lost item to Static. He rewarded me with a flower sweater.
  • K.K. Slider performed “K.K. Calypso” for me and June.

By the way, I’ll probably be posting the next New Horizons Moments video sometime next week. See you soon!
