Four Turtles

On Monday, I went out to Lottie’s Island and took some close-up photos of a blue bird that was sitting on the island map. So cute! You can also spot Julian the unicorn reading in the background.

Wednesday (March 26th) was Louie’s birthday. So I bought a gift for him, wrapped it up in jungle green wrapping paper, and headed over to his party.

I gave him a Japanese dresser that I bought at Nook’s Cranny for 8,400 bells. Louie noticed that it was an expensive gift, and he seemed very grateful. By the way, Ankha was also at his party; you can see a sliver of her face in the above screenshot.

Hippeux the hideous hippo was hanging out at the campsite for the third time.

Yesterday, I went out to see Katrina on Harv’s Island. I paid her to tell my fortune, and she told me that my luck with money will diminish. So I paid her 10,000 bells for purification.

Today, I received my letter from Katrina. She sent me another gold turtle figurine! That’s four of them in four tries! She’s supposed to have four different items, and from what I’ve heard, they’re supposed to be random! How un-four-tunate. It’s turtle-y unfair!

I encountered Pascal while diving, and he wondered if the oceans are salty because they’re made of the Earth’s tears.

I wrapped up my night with a concert at the plaza. K.K. playeded a particularly plodding performance of “Pondering.” Bob was the only villager with me for the show, although Louie did walk through near the end of the song.

Here are a few other quick notes about the past week or so:

• Merengue sent me another copy of her photo last week, to thank me for her birthday gift.
• Last Friday, I sold 22 fish to C.J. for 255,750 bells.
• On Monday, I sold 15 bugs to Flick for 73,500 bells.
• Today, I returned a lost item to Ankha. She rewarded me with a cardigan school uniform top.
