I spoke with Hornsby just outside of town hall, and he said he was just thinking about seeing my face (and my round head). And yet, he didn’t even bother to turn around and look at me! He was sitting facing the other way!
My new incline was completed, so I attended the opening ceremony. This is just my third ramp in town (contrast that with my seven bridges).
As I was running back and forth to get some items for my new area, I was shocked to spot a golden balloon present!
It was the recipe for a golden slingshot! I promptly made my very first golden tool! 😀 Unfortunately, it still only shoots one pellet at a time. So the fact that golden tools can break in New Horizons isn’t their only downgrade compared to previous games.
I worked for a while on my new campground area. I reshaped the land a bit, but I also added flowers, circle paths, and some benches…so that people can sit and enjoy the fire, the waterfall, and the night sky.
More changes are likely coming, but the above picture shows how the campground looked as I finished up for the night.
Just a few other quick notes about today’s session:
- Kicks was in town, and I bought some soccer socks from him.
- The glowing spot was in Sudden Valley for the 4th day in a row.
- On Harv’s island, I helped out Reese & Cyrus for the last time. Once the last item arrives in the mail tomorrow, I’ll have all of the wedding items.
There may or may not be a new entry tomorrow. But there will be one late Friday night regardless. (Yes, I’m planning on having Friday Night Forest this week). Have a great day or night, and I’ll see you soon! 🙂
Question, does the golden balloon only spawn once? I popped it without thinking and forgot to document it.
If you learned the recipe for the golden slingshot, then I don’t believe it will appear again.
I loved Reese and Cyrus in New Leaf, thought they were an adorable couple. I don’t really like how they were worked into New Horizons. Then again, all the special events have been dragged out much longer than they should, not just theirs.
Hey Jeff, I once saw you saying that you dont like the dialogues variety in New Horizons. I thought so as well, but I recently figured out that villagers actually have quite a lot of dialogue in this game, you just dont realize it if you talk to them once or twice a day. The first couple of times you talk to them they will always say something about visitors, what you did yesterday and so on. But after talking to them 4+ times they will give you some really fun conversations, also a lot of interactive ones. For example today, I had to deliver a present and when I gave it to Ed, he let me guess whats inside and if I was right I could keep it just like in the older ACs.
Thanks. Yeah, fortunately not *all* of the dialogue is boring.
I did the circle’s too in my campsite! Also my first golden tool was the watering can! Have a great day!
I didn’t make either of them btw
Hey Jeff I just wanted to leave some creator codes that I thought you might be interested in
MA-6647-9230-4716, this one re creates the path from city folk and looks way better than the new horizons one.
MA-0951-2883-5380
This one re creates the cobble stone design you see at the wishing well and town hall in the older games. Just thought you might be interested in this type of thing! 🙂
Thanks! I’ll take a look at them later.
