In the mail today, I found a letter from Lopez. It was a thank-you note for the birthday present.
He must have liked the gift more than I thought, because he actually sent me his photo! I was shocked! I put it on the wall in my bedroom. Lopez’s favorite quote is “Always look both ways before crossing the street.” I guess that’s a different message from my quote, “Never Stop Crossing.” 😉
Lopez is the 2nd newest villager in town, and he’s not one of my favorites…so I have no idea how I got a photo from him before Agent S, Hornsby, Apple, Midge, or even Louie. I generally don’t talk to him more than once a day, and I rarely give him gifts (other than his birthday gift). But I do give gifts to some of the others, especially Hornsby and Agent S. The villager photo thing just seems so random.
But on the bright side, I guess I can feel free to let him move out whenever he asks. He’s never really grown on me, despite living here for almost three months.
Saharah was in town today, so I bought several products from her. I ended up with a yellow vinyl sheet, magma-cavern wall, yellow checked rug, and paintball flooring.
Rizzo was itching because of a flea, and he said he nearly asked me to help him scratch! 😮
No way I’m scratching you, you flea-infested rat! But I did use my net to catch the flea for him.
In Nook’s Cranny (the shop, not his actual cranny), I gave Agent S an espresso maker as a gift. In return, she gave me a cavalier hat because she had heard that I love them.
I actually did like the cavalier hat a lot in ACCF, but I’m not feeling this one. I liked the original dark blue color.
I went diving in the ocean, and I found a scallop (and Pascal) on my 14th dive of the day.
He gave me a mermaid princess dress, but it’s different from the one he already gave me with the same name.
In an unrelated note, I had a dream that New Horizons had a power-up that allowed you to see fish in the water. So instead of seeing just a shadow, you could see that it was a sea bass or red snapper, etc. And in the dream, I found a brand new fish that I had never seen before. 😛 The power-up only lasted a few minutes, but it was cool to see!

villager photos are VERY random, like- l’ve had Agnes on my island since day 1 (march 21st) and I’ve gave her a lot of gifts, but then Kidd gives me his photo, even though I’ve only had him for about 1.5 months and have hardly gave him anything.
Villager pictures are an enigma to me. I talk to all my villagers the same amount everyday and I got Lucky’w (who I had for 5 months) and Audie’s (who I had for less than 2 months) pictures on the same day
I’d keep an eye on Able Sisters. It’s possible the cavalier hat comes in multiple colors; they just need to offer it. Speaking of things in multiple colors, the second mermaid dress might be a different color from the previous one you got. So far I (who would actually wear them both in the game and in real life) have only acquired one, so I can’t say that’s the case for sure
Yeah, I looked in my storage, and I have two versions of the mermaid fishy dress and two versions of the mermaid princess dress. I’ll add a picture of them.
Hey, I just caught up with the blog since I’ve been busy this week. I like the new additions to Forest, and also I find it crazy that Lopez gave you his photo. What’s next, Rizzo giving you his? :p

Getting villager photos is a bit random. My starter villager flo hasnt gave me hers yet but I got Octavians sooner than i thought.
Hey Jeff, I know I’ve been commenting on your blogs for a while but I want you to know that your videos and blogs really inspire me as well as keeping me sane during quarantine. I find myself going back to your old blogs or videos and just reading and watching them. They have made me boot up my towns from past games! Your sense of humor makes me burst out laughing randomly! Never change your content as its amazing! I’ve been watching your vids since you made your first city folk video! You definitely deserve more viewers and subscribers than you have!

Oh I actually have a blue cavalier hat like on City Folk. Also did you give Lopez something expensive for his birthday? I heard that villagers have a higher chance at giving you their photos when you get them an expensive gift.
I gave him a cooler box that I think I got from a balloon present. It looks like Nook sells it for 1,700 bells and buys it for 425, so I don’t think that would count as an expensive gift.
