Invisible Stationery

On Sunday, I was clearing out some old mail and a previous letter from Jolly Redd was taking a while to load. It eventually showed up…but on invisible stationery! Just the text appeared, floating in air!

A letter from Jolly Redd appears to be written on invisible stationery: The letters were hanging in mid-air!

When the Forest Bureau of Investigation demanded more transparency about Redd’s business practices, this isn’t what they had in mind! 😛 But seriously, what an odd glitch! Unless that stationery got removed from the game or something? I don’t know, it was weird!

Wisp was in town, but he was a bit hard to reach. I had to use my ladder to climb up the little cliff near my arches.

Wisp appears on a thin cliff edge.

I collected his five spirits for him, and in return, he gave me a hammock. I sure couldn’t use it up there, though!

Today, there was a heavy meteor shower, and Gullivarrr was in town. I wished on quite a few shooting stars.

I wish on shooting stars as Gullivarrr looks on.

I found Gullivarrr’s communicator on my very first dive. So I returned it to him, and he will send me a reward in the mail tomorrow. Celeste was also in town, and she gave me five star fragments to use for crafting.

When I visited Hornsby, he told me that he loves split-pea soup so much that he’s been eating it for every meal. And every snack time, too…

Hornsby: Dinner, night snack, bed snack, late-night snack, dark-time dinner, and spooky-time snacks...

So then he wondered why he’s getting tired of it. 😂 Yeah, I wonder why. 😛

Hornsby: I thought it was my favorite food... But somehow I'm getting tired of it. I don't understand...

Not much else was going on tonight. But I’ll see you all again soon. Have a good night (or day)!

Static’s Photo

Yesterday, I seemingly walked into a squirrel party. Agent S was visiting Static, and I felt so tall.

Squirrels Static and Agent S hang out.
My two favorite squirrels in the series! Or anywhere, really.

And yes, I’ve been giving Static spooky furniture just about every day. 😛 I’m actually surprised he doesn’t have more of it on display by now.

Marina was sleeping on the ground, near the river bank. Since I was already dressed as Jack, I tried to scare her…but it didn’t work. 😛

Saharah was in town, and I bought an exquisite wall and a Saharah’s desert from her.

Tonight was K.K. Slider night, and the singing dog performed K.K. Cruisin’ for me, Apple, and Eloise. It was a good show.

I didn’t see Static anywhere in town tonight, and he wasn’t at home either. So after I changed my clothes, I looked for him up at the museum. I found him in the art gallery, under The Thinker. I handed him a wrapped spooky tree, and he rewarded me with his photo!

Static: I don't want any freebies. Here! Have Static's photo!

When I took his photo home, I was surprised that he looks so sad in his picture!

I know you’re cranky, but can’t you at least try to smile on picture day?

Static has only lived in town for three and a half weeks, so I think this might be my quickest photo yet. His favorite quote on the back is “Lightning never strikes twice.”

Today, I posted my thoughts and impressions of yesterday’s Nintendo Direct about the New Horizons 2.0 update that’s coming in November. Check it out if you’d like.

See you all next time!

The Thinker

Yesterday, Gulliver sent me a veil in the mail. I don’t like how it looks, so I sold it to the Nooks.

C.J. was in town, and he wanted me to catch three big-time fish in a row. I caught a sea bass, a snapping turtle, and a yellow perch to complete the seasports challenge. I only had three pikes in storage (aside from a few fish I’m keeping to show off), and I sold them for a total of 8,100 bells.

At the plaza, Tia, Eloise, and Apollo were performing Lucky K.K. for anyone that wanted to enjoy the show. Moments later, I ran into Wisp over in Donkey Kong Country. I collected his five spirits, and he rewarded me with a blue-paint wall.

Today, I was happy to find that Louie sent me some art in the mail! It was a familiar statue, and it was the real deal! Not only that, but it’s one I needed for the museum! Redd hasn’t been helping me out lately, so it’s good that someone is! Thanks, Louie!

Thinking with The Thinker.

It’s nice that from certain angles, my art gallery doesn’t look totally empty any more. 😛 Of course, there’s still a very long way to go, but it’s nice to see some progress! At least I think so…

Tia told me that she recently starting knitting coasters. But she got a bit carried away, and now she has more coasters than glasses. 😛

Tia: That got me to knit more, but I got a little carried away. Now I have more coasters than glasses, in my tea!

My old New Leaf buddy Kidd the goat was camping at the campsite. He’s a good kid, but I didn’t invite him into town. If I had a free spot, I might have considered it, though.

Kidd, at the campsite: So far, I like what I'm seeing. 100 percent of Kidds would rate this campground highly.

I finally redecorated the main room of my house. The ice furniture is out, and the spooky furniture is in. I don’t plan on doing much decorating outdoors though. Maybe a few pumpkins here and there, but nothing like I did last year.

My Halloween room for 2021.

Speaking of Halloween, I posted a new Halloween guide yesterday. You can find it here if you want a refresher on how the event works.

The Animal Crossing Nintendo Direct is coming up tomorrow morning! For my real-time reactions, check out my Twitter. I’ll probably post a summary of my thoughts later tomorrow or on Saturday, possibly in video form. See you soon!
