Believe it or not, the final fishing tournament of the year was held today. I decided to participate, even if it was just for one run. I ended up catching five fish, which was good for seven points.

As the three-minute timer ended, I shot down a balloon present right in front of C.J.; I wonder if that pleased his viewers on his livestream.

The present was a recipe for a spooky tree.

It’s a tree with no leaves, with jack-o’-lanterns hanging from the branches. After crafting it, I’ve now made all three of the new spooky items for 2021.

I spoke with C.J. to sell my fish and redeem my points. I only had enough points for one item, which was a fish umbrella.

Hornsby and Louie were fishing with their rods crossed. That’s a great way to get your lines tangled together!

Static was very frustrated during the tourney that he couldn’t catch anything. But after it was over, he acted as if he caught a ton of fish! Sure you did! 😂

Static was sick with a cold on Wednesday, so I crafted some medicine for him. He rewarded me with a throwback mitt chair. That’s handy!

Gullivarrr was in town yesterday, and I went diving to find his communicator for him.

I found a lost item on the ground: a bag with a book in it. I eventually reunited it with its owner, Tia. She gave me a kung-fu tee as my reward. It may not be my favorite, but I didn’t want to fight with her about it. 😛

Earlier in the week, I mentioned that I bought a spooky treats basket at Nook’s Cranny. But yesterday, Marina gave me the DIY recipe so that I can make my own.

And then today, Agent S taught me how to make a spooky trick lamp. So I made one of each.

Gullivarrr sent me a pirate eye patch in the mail. But I actually prefer the regular eye patch, without the skull on it.

Tia is now back to wearing her maid dress, just like the day we met.

Flick was in town, but I only had three bugs in storage for him. He gave me 30,000 bells for the trio.

The Animal Crossing Nintendo Direct is just one week away! Like I posted on Twitter, I can’t help but wonder if they’re going to announce the update will be available that very night (instead of in November). Maybe it’s just wishful thinking, but they have done things like that before. But even if that’s not the case, it’s going to be exciting just to see the new things that are coming to the game. It’ll be fun! 🙂

On Sunday night, the owl on the bulletin board indicated there was a new message posted. It was about the fishing tournament, but before I read it, I tried to get the owl to fly up towards the camera a couple times. This is the best I could do:

Wisp was in town, and I gathered up his spirits in exchange for a digital scale.

Static was telling me about a friend of his that got a smart watch. The friend told Static “watch this,” and the friend started pushing some buttons. But nothing ever happened, and Static couldn’t help but laugh.

Yesterday, the Nooklings had a spooky treats basket for sale. That’s one of the new Halloween items for 2021.

Kody was camping at the campsite, and he’s another of my buddies from my GameCube town. But for some reason, I don’t think he looks as cute as he does in the older games.

Today (Tuesday), Saharah was in town. I bought a security-monitors wall and a pyramid tile from her. I like them, but I already have them both.

When I visited Static, he said he was going to do a magic trick for me! 🪄

But then he realized he didn’t have his handkerchief with him…even though we were at his house! How disappointing.

At the plaza, Marina was enjoying a nice shish kabob! But she also had a flea that was also feasting…on Marina. I caught it for her.

Shortly after that, I ended my night in Forest. See you all next time.
