A Tremendous Gift

Yesterday, Apollo sent me a tremendous statue in the mail. I figured it was probably fake, since most art from villagers seems to be counterfeit. But I took it up to Blathers just in case, and I was quite surprised when he told me it was the real deal! 😮

But interestingly, it’s not displayed with most of the statues on the left side of the art gallery. Instead, it’s displayed in the bottom-right corner.

Thanks, Apollo!

The 2nd fireworks festival of the year was held last night, and Tia was having the time of her life.

Tia: I'm having so much fun!

Over at the plaza, Isabelle gave me a heart bopper, and I took a seat to enjoy the fireworks for a while.

Watching the fireworks in Forest.

I also bought a few more items from Jolly Redd. But this time, I seemed to be getting mostly fireworks instead of edible items.

Today, Bones seems to have figured out that he’s just a character in a video game! 😮

Bones: They say the island is just a game. And everything we say? Or do? It's just to amuse somebody else!

But after his long speech filled with great examples of clues he should have picked up on, he said he was just joking. 😛

Flick was in town, so I grabbed nine bugs out of storage and sold them for 102,000 bells.

Flick: Ahem. Can I offer you, say, 102,000 bells for the bunch of them?

I posted a new video yesterday, taking a look at some additional typos and mistakes that I’ve encountered in the Animal Crossing series. I hope you enjoy it!

See you next time!

Peppy Sparklers

On Thursday, Apple and Agent S were both hanging out at the plaza, burning sparklers. They were there the whole night, just burning one after another! Hornsby asked me to play a treasure hunt game, and I won a music-fest shirt.

Hornsby: TA-DAA! You won...a music-fest shirt!

Gulliver and Wisp were both in town. So I collected and returned Gulliver’s five communicator parts and Wisp’s five spirits. Wisp rewarded me with some colorful puzzle flooring.

Eloise asked me to catch a cicada shell for her. But I searched and searched, for over an hour…and I never found one.

Yesterday, Gulliver sent me a veil in the mail. Hey, that rhymed.

After doing some crafting, I earned 2,000 Nook Miles for crafting my 1,000th furniture item. But that was only the 4th of five goals, so I won’t get the final one until I’ve crafted a total of 3,000 furniture items. That could take a while…

DIY Furniture: 4 of 5 goals met.

Tonight, K.K. Slider was in town. I asked him for a random song and he performed K.K. Marathon for me, Apollo, Agent S, Louie, and Tia.

K.K. Slider performs for Tia, Jeff, Louie, Agent S, and Apollo.

Even though it was nice to have a fairly large crowd for the show, the song was so slow and boring that I didn’t really enjoy it.

I finished removing my King Tut race course, but I decided to keep the oasis area for a while. I brought over the Sphinx and pyramid to this area as well.

My oasis area, now with the Sphinx and pyramid.

I have no immediate plans on what to do with the now empty area in the western part of town. However, I do not plan on putting in another obstacle course anytime soon.

See you all next time. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Happy Birthday, Bones!

Yesterday, my campsite was cursed with an appearance by Eugene, the ugly smug koala with a huge orange nose. There’s no way he’s moving to this island.

Eugene, at the campsite: Heya! Are you from around here? I'm kinda on vacation, just relaxing and focus-grouping a few things...

Celeste was in town last night, and she taught me how to make a crescent-moon chair.

SWEET! I learned a DIY recipe for a crescent-moon chair!

Not far away, I also spotted Jolly Redd’s ship. He had a fake quaint painting, a fake amazing painting, a fake informative statue, and a moving painting I wasn’t sure about. I bought the moving painting, and I felt pretty good about it, since the other three were fake.

But today, I received the art from Redd, and Blathers informed me that it was a fake. Even though Redd will usually have at least one real work of art, it’s not a guarantee. It’s a bummer, but at least I now have a picture of the fake one for comparison purposes for next time.

Today is Bones’s birthday, and I made sure to attend his party. This is his first birthday on the island, believe it or not. He looks so sharp in his birthday suit outfit! 😛

Bones: It's real cool to have everyone celebrate my birthday like this.
Happy birthday, dawg!

I gave him a customized doghouse as his present, and he loved it. Agent S was also at the party, and she was happy to see Bones smiling. 🙂

Agent S: And, like, when Bones is smiling, I get really happy too!

C.J. was in town with another seasports challenge for me. He wanted me to catch three big-time fish in a row, so I caught a catfish, an arowana, and a soft-shelled turtle. I grabbed some additional fish from storage, and I sold 13 fish to C.J. (in Donkey Kong Country) for 197k.

C.J.: Oh, you got a whole school for me? All together that'll be... 197,325 bells. Deal?

I’ll be back with another entry later in the week. Have a good day!
