Festive Dog

On Monday, Apple asked me for a new catchphrase. I wanted her to say “Viva Festivale,” but that wouldn’t fit. So I just told her to say viva.

Later that night, I found Celeste in town. She taught me a DIY recipe for a golden wand. I wish I could wave my wand and make all wands disappear. Just give me space items and zodiac furniture, please! 😛

SWEET! I learned a DIY recipe for a golden wand!

Yesterday, Timmy and Tommy finally had the Festivale item I wanted most: the confetti machine!

Tommy: Seems like you're interested in Festivale confetti machine.
I placed it outside in front of Nook’s Cranny.

Tybalt and Rizzo were sitting on a temporary bench at the plaza. Tybalt said he asked Isabelle if we could get a training gym on the island, and she said no! Shouldn’t he be asking me, not her?

Tybalt: Like, for instance, I asked Isabelle if we could get a training gym. She said no.

Today, C.J. was in town with another seasports challenge: He wanted me to catch three small fry fish in a row. I caught two pond smelts and a crucian carp to complete the challenge.

With Festivale coming up on Monday, many villagers are already looking forward to the event. Bones boasted that he’s going to be the most festive Festivale dog anyone’s ever seen!

Bones: Just you wait. I'm gonna be the most festive Festivale dog anyone's ever seen, at the Depot!

I found a lost item on the ground, and it was a bag that smelled like a minty sports cream. I swear it seems like 90% of the lost items belong to jocks! I asked Tybalt about the bag, and he said it was his. He thanked me for returning it, and he gave me a guide shirt for helping out.

I grabbed some fish out of storage and took them over to C.J. I sold him two koi, two sturgeon, three red snappers, and four football fish for 70,500 bells.

C.J.: Oh, you got a whole school for me? All together that'll be... 70,500 bells. Deal?

Just a heads-up for people on my friend roster: There will not be a Friday Night Forest this week. But I’ll be back with another blog entry soon.

Rizzo’s Modern Art

Last night, K.K. Slider was in town for his usual Saturday night performance. I asked for a random song, and he played Pondering for me. Bones, Tybalt, and Louie were also in attendance…and Keaton also made an appearance mid-song.

Early this morning, I bought some turnips from Daisy Mae for the first time this year. She was selling them for 102 bells apiece, and I bought 1,400 of them for 142,800 bells.

Daisy Mae: Alright, so 1,400 turnips comes to...142,800 bells. Does that sound OK to you?

This evening, Midge asked about moving away. I told her to stick around longer. I may be at the point where I’m ready to let Keaton leave (and obviously Rizzo, of course), but I’m not ready to say goodbye to Midge just yet.

At Able Sisters, I bought this snowflake sweater. Now if I have any dandruff, I can say it’s actually just some snowflakes. 😛

Rizzo was on the beach, questioning the placement of my sphinx. He ultimately concluded that it must be a “modern art” thing. Uh, I really don’t think so. 😂

Rizzo: Maybe it's some modern art thing?

I found a lost item on the ground, another book of “xtreme exercises.” It wasn’t Tybalt’s, so I took it over to Louie. He thanked me for returning it and gave me a relay tank.

Later on (after I watched the Super Bowl, haha), I found Wisp in town, up on the cliffs. I collected his five spirits for him, and he thanked me by giving me a folding chair.

See you all next time! Never Stop Crossing! 🙂

Rotating Fish

Jolly Redd sent me the sinking painting in the mail today, and I was happy to find that it was the real deal!

Flick was in town, so I grabbed some bugs out of storage. I sold him 13 wasps, 10 emperor butterflies, four dung beetles, and two tarantulas for 150,750 bells.

Around 10:00 tonight, I opened my gate for Friday Night Forest. Logan and Bran were the first to arrive, and Bran fell into a pitfall trap. 😛

Timo and Alex from Pawnee also arrived. After spamming some emotions, we headed over to the obstacle course. I gave Bran and Alex a quick tour of the course, since Logan and Timo had already raced on it before. The four of them competed, and Timo breezed through the course and won by a large margin. Congrats, Timo!

Timo races ahead of the other contestants in the obstacle course.

We hung out at the plaza for a while, and then Marcus came over to visit. Even though he’s been on my roster for a while, this was his first time visiting. I did a little diving, and Alex tried to catch me. But I broke free of his fishing line. 😛 A bit later, we watered the ocean so it didn’t dry up.

We also hung out in my house for a while. As Timo held a frog out over a bathtub, Alex pointed out that the frog model rotates with the camera. We soon discovered that the same was true for other fish; horizontal fish would always face left regardless of how you moved the camera. So I could make it appear that Logan was holding this oarfish like a bazooka.

That must be a recent change, because I later checked some old videos and confirmed that the game used to display each fish angle separately. So you could see multiple fish from multiple angles, depending on the angle of the person showing off each fish. I’m not sure why they made this change. This new way is certainly less realistic.

At midnight, we gathered by the fountains for a group photo.

After that, I ended the session for the night. Thanks to everyone who came, it was fun! 🙂

Earlier today, I posted a video showing 18 Animal Crossing town tunes I’ve used over the years. Check it out if you’d like.

Have a good weekend, everyone!
