Midge’s Photo

Gulliver sent me my latest reward in the mail, and it was just a silk hat.

A silk hat from Gulliver.

I also got a letter from the Snowboy I built yesterday; he sent me a frozen bed. And over at Candy Cane Lane, I built another perfect Snowboy. I guess I got my snojo back. 😛

Snowboy: You're looking at pure snowfolk perfection right here. But you know that. You made me!

C.J. was in town, and he had a seasports challenge for me. I just had to catch five fish in a row.

C.J.: So! How 'bout a challenge, seasports style? Right now! Win and I'll make it RING, and talk you up on my stream.

After completing the challenge, I grabbed a bunch of fish out of storage. C.J. bought them all for 145,800 bells. When I put the money into my bank account, my balance topped 15 million bells for the first time.

I bought a bunk bed at Nook’s Cranny, wrapped it up, and gave it to Midge. In return, she gave me her photo! Wow!

Midge: As a thank you, please take my Midge's photo.

That’s two villager photos in two days! Here is a look at the picture. Midge’s favorite quote is “When the world gets cold, just fly south.” I’m wondering if this quote is reversed in the southern hemisphere, because it wouldn’t make sense there (flying south would be even colder).

I now have photos from all ten of my current villagers! (Plus Lopez’s photo as well.) And with that, that removes one of my daily goals to work towards…at least until I get a new villager. And as anyone who has been playing this game daily for the past 9.5 months could tell you, there are often days when nothing significant happens.

I’ve been posting five blog entries per week lately, but I’m now going to drop the frequency a bit. Generally there will be four entries per week now, and occasionally more, if a lot is going on.

I’m not planning on having Friday Night Forest this week, so there may not be an entry tomorrow. But there will be one on Saturday, as I participate in the fishing tournament. See you then!

Louie’s Photo

Yesterday, I rolled up another snowboy…but again, it was not perfect. I seem to have lost my touch after having a few days without ample snowballs. Although, it is harder to make them in cramped locations where there isn’t enough free space.

However, I was able to finally build a perfect snowboy today.

Today, Gulliver was in town. I dug up his communicator parts, and he’ll be sending me a gift in the mail.

I found a lost item on the ground near my 2021 arch, and it was again a book about “xtreme xercises.”

I picked up a lost item!

I asked Louie about it, but he told me it was Tybalt’s book. I later found Tybalt in Nook’s Cranny and gave him the book. In return, he gave me a denim cap.

While I was at the shop, I saw there was a train set for sale. I remembered that Agent S gave me her photo after I gave her a train set… So I thought maybe it would be my lucky item again.

So I bought it, with the intention of giving it to Louie or Midge, whoever I ran into first. That turned out to be Louie, and the train set worked exactly as I hoped! Louie gave me his photo!

Louie: Louie's photo! Take it! Don't be shy.

Here is a look at the photo. Louie’s favorite quote is “It’s all about the muscle.”

I put the photos of Agent S and Louie up on the wall. Here is a look at my complete collection of ten villager photos.

My ten villager photos.

Midge is now the only current villager who has not given me a photo.

I shot down a balloon present and learned a recipe for a ski-slope flooring. It’s actually a winter snowflake recipe, not an ornament recipe. So the rest of the ornament recipes will have to wait until December.

Making a Gift Pile

I know not all of you are football fans, but yesterday my favorite team (the Browns) clinched their first playoff berth in 18 years. So to celebrate, I put on my Nick Chubb jersey and decorated my left room (former Turkey Day room) to be football/Browns themed.

Over at the campsite, I found a lost book on the ground. It was about potted plants and bonsai trees, and I remembered that is Rizzo’s cup of tea. So I took it over to the resident rat, and he rewarded me with some mariachi clothing.

Rizzo: I believe THAT makes us square. Maybe you even owe ME one. It's some mariachi clothing!
The only thing I owe you is a nice piece of moldy cheese in a mousetrap.

Late last night, I shot down a balloon present that contained a DIY recipe for a festive rug.

Louie asked about moving out, but I told him to stay. Why is it taking so long for Rizzo to ask?

Today, Tia was sick with a cold. I made some medicine and took it over to her. She’s already starting to feel better, and she rewarded me with a school hat.

I visited another town where Nook’s Cranny was selling red wrapping paper. So when I returned home, I was finally able to craft the gift pile recipe I got from Jingle on Toy Day. (My shop hasn’t had red wrapping paper since then!)

I recently went a couple days without building any snowboys. Either I had trouble finding both snowballs, or I accidentally kicked one into an obstacle and didn’t see it return.

I think my recent additions to Candy Cane Lane didn’t leave enough free space for both snowballs to spawn in that area. But after moving some things back a bit, I did find both snowballs there today. Unfortunately, the snowboy I built wasn’t perfect. Oh well. Maybe tomorrow.

I wrapped up my night standing on the beach, listening for balloon presents and enjoying the northern lights.

I did shoot down a couple of balloon presents, but no new festive recipes. I did get a nice bidet, though. 😛 See you all next time!

UPDATE: Shortly after posting this entry, I shot down a balloon present that contained a DIY recipe for an illuminated present. It looks like I only need five more festive recipes.
