Boom, It’s a Toga

With my ordered items that arrived in the mail today, and a hat pattern I designed, my new costume is basically complete. Unless I find a hat that looks better than the one I made, that is. But I plan on using the new costume for something tomorrow night.

I found a lost item on the ground today, and I investigated it to learn that it had pins of different pop stars on it. That immediately made me think of Agent S, since she’s always talking about being a pop star.

A snappy bag covered with buttons and pins of different pop stars.

Of course, Apple is a peppy villager too, so it could be hers. But I tracked down Agent S first, and she had a thought bubble over her head. She actually asked me to find her bag for her. So I immediately spoke to her again and handed it over. 😛 She gave me a toga for helping her out.

Agent S: BOOM! It's totally a toga!

Kicks was in town today, and I bought some jester shoes from him. And no, I don’t yet have a wand outfit set up for a jester, but that is something I could consider.

I went diving to find a scallop, and Pascal was talking about dragons sitting on piles of gold?

Pascal: Why do you always see dragons sitting on piles of gold? Maaan, haven't they ever heard of banks?
I don’t see dragons sitting on piles of gold though? Quit sniffing the seaweed, maaan.

After I deposited today’s money into the bank, my balance topped five million bells for the first time.

Savings balance: 5,090,000 bells.

I also earned a lot of Nook Miles today, because the Nook Miles+ goals were easy ones. For example, I had to catch five bugs, water 8 flowers, catch a sea bass, etc. And the easy ones kept coming up over and over, so I racked up the miles.

I’ll be back with another entry late tomorrow night. See you then! 🙂

First Ray

After wishing on a bunch of stars in Pawnee last night (and a couple in Forest as well), I found quite a few star fragments on the beach today.

Jeff finds several star fragments on the beach in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

There were 12 regular star fragments, three Leo fragments, and one large star fragment…just on my first run. I later found an additional Leo fragment and two more regular star fragments. That’s a grand total of 19!

While fishing in the ocean, I caught my first ray. It covered my whole face!

I caught a ray! A few more and I'll have a tan!

Tia wanted to apologize to Agent S, so she had me deliver a steampunk costume to Forest’s nuttiest squirrel. Agent S loved it!

Agent S: I was the mega jerk in this sitch, so she def shouldn't be apologizing! I'm going to apologize to her!
Sitch?

She rewarded me with a kappa costume.

C.J. was in town, and he had a fishing challenge for me: I had to catch three “big-time” fish in a row. So I snagged two black bass and an olive flounder to complete the mission. But C.J.’s presence in town allowed me to do something even better: Clean out my large shark/fish collection I had in storage. I’ve been saving these just for C.J.

Twenty large fish and sharks I sold to C.J.

He gave me a whopping 327,000 bells for them all.

C.J.: Oh, you got a whole school for me? All together that'll be... 327,000 bells. Deal?
Deal.

As I mentioned on Sunday, I recently downloaded the Nintendo Switch Online app. Not only does it allow me to see my dream visitor count (currently 3,116), but I can finally use QR codes as well! This makes it much easier for me to use designs in my town since I don’t have to make them all by hand. I already replaced my banana design (on the banana stand) with a better-looking version, and I also added Lakitu near Rainbow Road.

A Lakitu pattern on the ground near Rainbow Road in Forest.

The bad thing is that most of my pattern slots are currently being used by Rainbow Road and the frog race course. But I have a few open pattern slots, and I’m sure I’ll be using them in the fairly near future.

I saw on the bulletin board that two birthdays are coming up next week: Tybalt on the 19th, and Lopez on the 20th.

The daily glowing spot was in an unusual spot today: my flower garden! It was in a spot where it was surrounded on all side by fences or flowers! I wonder if the recent update changed where the glowing spot can appear, because it used to only appear in wide open areas.

I found a scallop today, and Pascal gave me a D.I.Y. recipe for a mermaid lamp. Finally, something new!

At my house, I used my wardrobe to set up a couple more wand outfits, a pirate and a bear. (I’m still missing pieces for the pirate outfit, so I substituted the shirt that says “GOLD” for now). 😛 I also ordered a couple items from my catalog for another outfit.

But speaking of pirates, Rizzo acted like a pirate when he asked me to go on a treasure hunt. And his catchphrase fit the situation perfectly! 😂

Rizzo: Now, for legal reasons, I have to state clearly that I'm not a real pirate, I'm a rat.

He gave me six minutes to find the buried item, but it only took me two and a half minutes. My reward was a collarless shirt.

With that, I wrapped up my game for the night. But I’ll be back with another entry tomorrow. And for those on my Switch friend roster, I do plan on opening for Friday Night Forest this week.

Update: I have now added a Forest Island page. It shows my current map, list of villagers, dream address, town history, and more. Check it out and let me know what you think!

Another Fountain

I found Gullivarrr washed up on the beach yesterday, and he asked me to find his communicator for him. I went diving, and again, I found the communicator on my very first dive!

I found the communicator! Now to bring it to that pirate.
“That pirate.

Keaton asked me to deliver a gift to Tia, and of course, I agreed to help. To my surprise, the gift was a skull tee. I told her it looked nice on her, but it’s certainly a different look for her.

Last night, I worked on the area in front of the plaza, and I decided to add a 2nd fountain. I also made a path between them, and then I added some benches today. This will be a great place to sit and watch fireworks!

My two fountains in front of town hall.

I received my reward from Gullivarrr in the mail today; it was a pirate beard. That’s quite a bushy beard!

Jeff tries on the pirate beard in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
I still need the outfit; what a hairy situation.

I went diving and filled up my pockets twice, but there were no scallops to be found.

Anyway, I updated my dream today so that visitors can see the new fountain layout and the “He Stole” skeleton in Sudden Valley.

Later on tonight, I ran into Celeste. She gave me a D.I.Y. recipe for a mums wand. I wish she’d give me more space items! I don’t care about all these wands. 🙁 I wish I could make these wand recipes disappear…but I might need a magic wand to do that. 😉

Alex from Pawnee invited me over to his town for a meteor shower, so I headed on over. I was surprised to see that Logan and Nami were also there. Alex gave us a tour, and his town is amazing! I’ll have to feature it in a future dream video…although some parts are a bit disturbing. 😛

Pennywise the clown (from It) appears from the manhole.

After a while, Logan left, and Saeran joined in. I wished on many shooting stars while I was there, and I earned 2,000 Nook Miles for wishing on my 200th star.

After Alex completed the tour of his town and house, he ended the session. Thanks for the invitation, Alex! It was fun, and your town is great! 🙂

See you all tomorrow!
