October has arrived, and the game has started to get things ready for Halloween. Jack sent me his portrait in the mail, spooky items can now be bought at the shop, and candy is available as well.

Down on the beach Sunday, I found a message bottle that had a recipe I needed: a tree-stump rug.

I found Pascal again while diving, and he shared some advice about not ignoring the elephant in the room. 🐘

On Monday, my savings account balance topped 69 million bells. Nice.

Yesterday, Saharah was in town, and I did something I haven’t done in a very long time: I bought everything she had. So I ended up with an ivory medium round mat, a black-design kitchen mat, a street-art wall, a future-tech wall, future-tech flooring, and a monochromatic wavy rug. As I was trying to look at them all, Bones barged into my house.

But I was pleased to see that I could still change the wallpaper and carpeting while he was over. I like the future-tech set, and I chose to display it in my villager photo room.

Tonight, Bob asked to visit my house. Normally, I deny these requests. But since it was Bob, I accepted. And to my surprise, it paid off immediately. Bob gave me his photo!

The bad news is that Bob stuck around for a full 15 minutes. (I didn’t want to force him out.) But once he left, I put it on display. 🙂

His favorite quote was on the back of the photo: “You only live once…or nine times.” I now have photos from all of my current villagers. 🙂

Yesterday, Rio was telling me about her pet stag beetle, which is also named Rio.

Rio the beetle pinched Rio the ostrich, and Rio called Rio a jerk. 😆

Label was in town, and she wanted to see me in a theatrical outfit. She gave me a comedian’s outfit as an example, but I changed into my pirate outfit instead. She loved it, and she rewarded me with a Labelle knit shirt (and two tailor tickets, which she sent in the mail).

Tonight, K.K. Slider was in town, and I joined him right at 6:00 for his show. He performed Forest Life for me and Midge. Great song!

I found a scallop while diving, and Pascal popped up to talk about change…and dinner.

I gave him the scallop, and he gave me a pearl in return.

Poor Punchy was sick with a cold today, and he felt like a “total blob.” 😛

So I bought some medicine for him, and he started to feel better. He rewarded me with a light-up flower crown.

Louie, Midge, and Ankha were grilling some vegetables in the plaza. The food smelled delicious, but they didn’t offer me any. 🙁

I caught an ocean sunfish, and that will probably be the last one I get before they go out of season this weekend. If you don’t have one to keep in storage, you only have a few days left!

Pippy the bunny was camping at the campsite. She’s nice, but I did not attempt to adopt her.

Ketchup was talking about the moonlight tonight, and I’m not sure if this dialogue was about the full moon coming up soon or not. But she was afraid of “werefish” and vampires coming out at night. 😛

When I saw this patchwork low table at Nook’s Cranny, I knew I just had to buy it for Bob. It’s colorful (and blocky), so it reminded me of the kiddie furniture that Bob loves throughout the series.

Bob appreciated the gift, and he gave me a checkered sweater vest in return. One of these days, he’s going to give me his photo. Just not today.
