Safe from Wasps

I found another scallop while diving Sunday, and Pascal popped up to tell me that “square” is a state of mind. 🟦

Pascal: Square isn't a shape--it's a state of mind, maaan.

He gave me another pearl for the scallop.

Yesterday was my character’s birthday, so Bones kidnapped me and took me to his house. Punchy and Ketchup were also there, and they all wished me a happy birthday.

Everyone (Bones, Punchy, and Ketchup): HAPPY BIRTHDAAAY!

They also encouraged me to beat the life out a poor piΓ±ata. πŸ˜›

My villagers cheer me on as I smack a birthday pinata in ACNH.

There were ten birthday cupcakes inside, and I gave some of them away to villagers who weren’t at the party.

K.K. Slider was in town, and he performed K.K. Birthday for me. Agent S, Rio, Bob, and Midge were also at the show. Some birthday greetings from Bones, Ankha, Mabel, and Tommy were displayed on-screen during the song.

Dearest gold star, Happiest of birthdays! Please know that I am going to work hard to make this another wonderful year for you. I do hope you'll continue to grace me with your friendship. It means the world to me! -Your friend forever, Ankha

The Nooklings had an upright piano for sale, so I bought it. I also ordered a painting set, so that today, I could finally craft a street piano.

Street piano: Craft it!

It was one of those recipes that I’ve had for ages, but never actually crafted (until now). I know I still have many more such recipes, but at least I got one of them out of the way. πŸ˜‰

I shook a tree near the bottom of a ramp tonight, and wasps came out. I ran up the ramp, got my net out, and started swinging. After several swings, I still had not caught the wasps…but they didn’t catch me either! They dispersed, and I was safe! Are they not able to get me when I’m on a higher level? I didn’t think that would be a problem for them. But I’m not complaining. πŸ˜›

Wasps disperse after failing to eat me.

See you next time!

Science with Eyes Closed

I went diving in the rain last night, and I caught a scallop. Pascal popped up and told me some wise words about magic.

Pascal: Magic is just science with your eyes closed, maaan.
He gave me another pearl for the scallop.

Midge was enjoying some coffee at the Roost, and she was talking about reading. She said she wants to read something more mature, like a “hard-boiled novel.” I’m surprised a bird isn’t reluctant to use that phrase. πŸ˜›

Midge: Maybe I should read something a bit more mature for a change... A real hard-boiled novel, in the sky!

It’s kind of funny timing, because in Wild World yesterday, Dad sent me a letter using the same phrase.

When I went into Nook’s Cranny, a big ape walked over and got right in my face! How intimidating. πŸ˜›

Timmy: Hello! ...hello! Welcome to Nook's Cranny!

At the plaza tonight, K.K. Slider performed K.K. Reggae for me, Bob, Rio, and Agent S.

I posted a new video today ranking my villagers in all eight of my Animal Crossing towns. Check it out if you’re interested! πŸ™‚

See you next time!

Ketchup’s Party

On Monday, I gave Midge a new catchphrase, “in the sky.” It’s one I’ve given her before, during her previous stint in Forest a couple years ago.

Midge: Thank you so much! I feel like I've discovered a whole new side of myself, in the sky.

On Tuesday, Ketchup asked me to take her head bandages off her hands. Why weren’t the bandages on her head? πŸ˜› I know I’ve seen this line of dialogue before from Agent S, but it still made me chuckle.

Ketchup: I'm really hoping you'll take my head bandages off my hands.

Flick was in town, and I had 26 bugs, worth a whopping 210,000 bells, to sell him.

The 26 bugs I sold to Flick.

Yesterday, I had Zoe the anteater as a camper. She’s one of the returning villagers that was around on GameCube, but wasn’t seen again until New Horizons 2.0. But I did not invite her to move in.

Gulliver was in town, and I agreed to help him out by digging up the pieces of his communicator. But that was a more difficult challenge than it was last time. That’s because four of the first things I dug up were manila clams, not phone pieces! I even dug up a 5th clam before finding all of the communicator parts. But today, Gulliver sent me a Dala horse in the mail.

Today was Ketchup’s birthday, so I made sure to attend her party. Instead of French fries, I gave her a Tomato Festival tee this year. πŸ…

Ketchup: Whaaa?! You got me a Tomato Festival tee?!

Fellow short peppy villager Agent S was also there to help Ketchup celebrate. She said she helped Ketchup decorate for the party, too. Aww, it’s cute to think of these two trying to hang up party decorations. πŸ˜†

Agent S: I helped Ketchup decorate yesterday to get ready for the party. It was big-time fun!

Ketchup said this was her happiest day of the year. ☺️

A few other quick notes about this week:

  • My savings balance reached 63 million bells on Sunday.
  • K.K. Slider performed “To the Edge” for me, Bob, and Louie.
  • I didn’t buy turnips this week, but I did get 50 free ones at the hospital. I sold them yesterday for a moderate profit.

See you next time!
