Double Tarantula Trouble

On Sunday, I spotted something unsightly and unwanted: Zipper T. Bunny! I tried to kill it with my net.

Jeff hits Zipper with a net.

He was telling me about Bunny Day coming up next Sunday, and about the plague of eggs that he has hidden in land, sea, trees, rocks, and air…everywhere, really. He also gave me ten water eggs to get me started.

But I hate this time of year when eggs infest everything we do on the island. You have to work harder to achieve many Nook Miles+ goals, because many wood choppings, stones, fish, etc., are replaced with eggs. Ugh.

Yesterday, I found myself up against two tarantulas with my net drawn. I had no hope; there was no possible way this was going to end well for me. 😛

Two tarantulas side by side, both ready to attack me.

I caught one of them, but the other one caught me. After I recovered, I returned to that area and saw C.J. in another tricky spot! These special characters keep doing this lately! 😉

C.J. stands on a narrow platform in my vaulting race course.

Unless he was that other tarantula in disguise… 😛

Today, Gullivarrr was in town, and I went diving to find his communicator. But just like last time, it was taking a while. In fact, I found Pascal before I found Gullivarrr’s phone! Pascal was talking about Stew’s stew, which is dialogue that I’ve seen before.

Pascal: Which came first, folks named Stew, or stew? And if it was stew...what's that mean for my friend Stew's stew?

I know Pascal has other sayings I haven’t seen yet, so I wish he wouldn’t repeat himself. Anyway, he gave me a pearl in exchange for the scallop I found. As for Gullivarrr, it took me seven dives to find his phone. Just like last time.

Wisp was also around tonight. I recovered his spirits, and he gave me a metal pot.

See you again soon!

Spring Pink

On Thursday, I sold Flick 66,000 bells worth of bugs, and my savings balance reached 55 million bells.

Quinn the eagle was camping at the campsite, but I did not invite her in.

Quinn, at the campsite: Hey, do you live out here? You do! What's up, temporary-neighbor!

Last night, Label was in town, and she wanted to see me in a sporty outfit. She gave me a relay tank to use as an example, and I put it on. I also added a bicycle helmet, basketball shoes, and basketball shorts. Label was happy with the look, and she rewarded me with some Labelle pumps.

Label: ...Some Labelle pumps, you see. it's from my brand.

Today is the first day of April, and it’s officially cherry blossom season! Some regular non-fruit trees (including some money trees) now have pink leaves! They’re so pretty! 🌸

Cherry blossoms on trees near Marina's house.
Pink trees around Able Sisters.
I see Sasha back there!

Mom sent me her tissue box in the mail. She figures that I’ll need it with springtime allergies coming up. 😉

I shot down a balloon present, and I got a new recipe for a cherry-blossom flooring! This is one that I’ve missed in previous years.

SWEET! I learned a DIY recipe for some cherry-blossom flooring!

Later on, I attended K.K. Slider’s Saturday night show. I asked for a random song, and he performed Imperial K.K. for me and Agent S.

K.K. Slider plays for Agent S and Jeff.

Yesterday, I posted a new video of how A.I. (artificial intelligence) described some of my New Horizons screenshots. The results were really funny! I hope you’ll check it out. 🙂

See you next time!

Hyacinth Pond

Sunday (March 26th) was Louie’s birthday, so I headed over to his birthday party. Bones was also there to help him celebrate. I gave Louie an iron frame that I crafted as a gift, and he seemed to enjoy it.

Louie: Oh! Oh, wow. Did you really... An iron frame!

I also crafted the last items I needed for my newly-redecorated area that I mentioned last week. If you remember my Zelda-inspired pond, I removed the titan arum and replaced it with a bench. I also replaced the glowing moss with hyacinth lamps. I think it looks pretty at night.

My new park bench area.

Today, I was speaking to Static and I wasn’t really paying attention to the dialogue. So I was a bit surprised when the screen went black and we appeared in my house. I agreed to let him visit without realizing it! 😆 To be fair, that’s about the only way I would let anyone visit now. 😛

Static: Thanks for lettin' me come over!
I didn’t mean to. Uh, I mean, you’re welcome.

But it wasn’t too bad, because he offered to leave after just 30 seconds! Okay, thirty seconds of me ignoring him, but still! I wouldn’t mind visits much if they were all like this. 😉

Back outside, I listened in on a conversation between Static and Ankha. They were talking about commercials, and how the slogans and jingles can be so catchy sometimes.

Static: Gahaha! Those advertisin' types do tend to come up with some real earworms, so I bolted!

But unfortunately, the conversation ended with Ankha adopting Static’s catchphrase of “so I bolted.” That phrase is strictly intended for Static. 😛

Ankha: Earworms, what an awful image. But that thing you say, so I bolted...

A few other quick notes about the last few days:

  • I helped Gulliver on Monday, and he sent me a silk hat.
  • Wisp gave me a hanging monitor yesterday.
  • I bought a deep fryer and a lighted display stand from Redd yesterday.

Anyway, I have a new video coming up in the next day or two. It’s something unique, and I think it’s really funny. Stay tuned. 🙂
