Sit Like an Egyptian

On Thursday, Croque the ugly mustached frog was camping at my campsite. Even though I was wearing a frog shirt, I had no interest in adopting this hideous creature.

Croque: You live here, right? If you have any recommendations for me while I'm here, lemme know, as if.
Here’s a recommendation: Leave.

Tonight, I found Ankha sitting on a bench. She asked if I was wanting to sit there too. Although technically, this was not an invitation.

Ankha: Oh my. Were you wanting to sit on the garden bench here, by any chance?

When I joined her on the bench, she didn’t exactly seem thrilled to have me there. 😛

Ankha seems to roll her eyes at Jeff's presence, as Jeff looks oblivious.

K.K. Slider was in town, and he performed K.K. Polka for me and Agent S.

Static was visiting Punchy tonight, and he was impressed by his house. They both looked so cute, especially the looks on their faces. 🙂

Static: There was more personality in there than I knew what to do with! I had Punchy figured all wrong.

A couple of other quick notes about the last few days:

  • I helped Gulliver on Thursday, and he sent me a candy-skull mask yesterday.
  • Yesterday, Wisp gave me some stone tile (flooring).

See you all next time!

Ankha’s Photo

Yesterday was Valentine’s Day, and received a bunch of valentines in the mail from my villagers and Isabelle. So I ended up with a lot of heart-shaped bouquets and chocolate hearts. However, I forgot to get my hot chocolate from Brewster at the Roost.

I’ve been continuing to give Ankha gold rose wreaths lately. Not only are the gold roses a renewable crafting material, but they’re pretty valuable and won’t mess up Ankha’s house. At worst, she’ll replace the gold rose wreath on her door with an identical one. 😉 So it’s a good system, and my work paid off today: Ankha rewarded me with her photo!

Ankha: How can I thank you... Ah! Why don't you take this reward of Ankha's photo?

I put it in my house. Ankha’s favorite quote is “All that glitters is not gold.”

Behold Ankha's photo.
Behold!

Festivale is coming up on Monday, and some of my villagers are already talking about getting ready for the event. Static even mentioned getting out some spangly outfits! 😆

Static: And maybe clean my spangly outfits while I'm at it. They've done nothin' but gather dust since last Festivale...

Label was in town, and she wanted to see me in some vacation clothes. That’s a theme I’ve always struggled with, so I searched my blog to see what worked for me before. I put on the top coat that Label gave me as an example, and I also added some soccer shorts, a skateboarding helmet, and Moccasin boots. I passed the fasion check, and Label gave me some Labelle shorts.

Label: Oh, wow! You've really captured the vacation look. Even the details are on point.

Here are a few other quick notes about this week:

  • On Sunday, Wisp gave me a dreamy hanging decoration.
  • Sasha gave me a retro coat for returning his lost item.
  • On Monday, Celeste gave me a large star fragment.

Even though this next thing is about the original GameCube game and not New Horizons, I posted a new video today that I’ve been working on for quite a while. It shows all 218 villager homes in that game, and a brief note about each one. For example, only one villager has an Arwing in their home, and one villager’s house is basically a public restroom with a bunch of toilets! I’ve put a lot of work into this video, and I’d appreciate if you could check it out. Thank you! 😊

See you all next time! Never Stop Crossing! 🙂

The Good Place Dream

I recently binge-watched the TV show The Good Place. So when I learned of a dream town based on the show, I just had to check it out! The dream address is 4470-2696-3728, and the town is called Schwifty. It was created by Clare (scarlethowl on Reddit). If you’re new to The Good Place, don’t worry: Everything is fine. 😉

Sign: Welcome! Everything is fine!

Many places from the show are recreated in this dream town, and the attention to detail is forking amazing. Here’s Michael’s office, complete with the picture of Doug Forcett, and the cactus from Janet. 😆

And this is the area where the main (dead) characters watch their introductory orientation video (where Michael also tries some magic tricks). You can see Janet’s outfit on the far left.

Lots of chairs for the introductory video and magic show.

This is the train that Janet can use to travel between neighborhoods.

And who could forget when they re-enacted the trolley problem? 🚃

It has so many references to the show, I couldn’t help but smile when I saw some of them. This represents Jeff (the doorman to Earth) and his frog collection. 🐸

This one seemed so random, but it’s amazing when you realize what these objects are. I won’t spoil it here, though. Watch the show. 😉

A shopping cart, air conditioner, scuba mask and safe, and a statue.

There’s much more to this town than what I’m showing here, so check it out for yourself if you’re a fan of The Good Place! The dream address again is 4470-2696-3728. Great work with the town, Clare! Take it sleazy! 😉

Back in Forest, I sold 100k worth of fish to C.J. yesterday. And today, I attended two of K.K. Slider’s shows (one in Forest, and one in Beth’s town Cassia). He performed K.K. Bossa in Cassia, and K.K. Faire (one of my favorites) in Forest.

Static: Weather's downright pleasant... Like my sunny disposition! Gahaha!
Static looks a bit like Donkey Kong in this pic. 😉

I hope you’re all having a good weekend. See you next time! Never Stop Crossing! 🙂
