Drop Dead Gorgeous?

On Saturday night, K.K. Slider performed K.K. Island for me, Sasha, Rio, Agent S, and Louie.

When I visited Ankha on Sunday, she told me that she sits down at her golden casket to do her skin-care routine! I guess she wants to look drop-dead gorgeous!

Ankha: I always sit down at my golden casket to do my skin-care regimen.

Roswell the gator was camping at the campsite. I had no interest in adopting him, but there’s no harm in saying hello.

Roswell: Hey, you're a local, right? The name's Roswell. Ha HA! That's how I laugh.

Tonight, Static was sitting on the bench just across the bridge from Peach Park. He invited me to sit next to him. Aww, that’s cute. 🙂

Static: No reason to be shy! Come here, have a seat next to me!

So I sat down and decided to open up my camera app for a photo. But before I could, he jumped out of the seat and left me! How rude!

Static stands up seconds after I join him on the bench.

Punchy was crafting tonight, and he gave me a recipe for a purple hyacinth wreath. To my surprise, I didn’t have that recipe yet! I crafted one, and I thought about giving it to Ankha, since she doesn’t have anything on her door yet. But then I thought, I should craft a gold rose wreath for her instead. So I gave that to her, and she rewarded me with a garden gnome. 😛

Ankha: You know what? I'm going to return the favor. Here, take this. It's a garden gnome.

A few other quick notes about special visitors this week:

  • Sunday: Wisp gave me a hanging clothing rack.
  • Monday: Wisp gave me a simple table.
  • Wednesday: Celeste gave me five star fragments.
  • Today: Gullivarrr sent me a pirate dress.

I’ll be back again soon with another entry!

First FNF of 2023

Tonight, I opened my gate for Friday Night Forest. Beth, Logan, Alex from Pawnee, Xavier, and Bran came over. We started off by visiting my newest resident, Ankha. Some of us showed off fish or bugs, while Beth used the toilet and Xavier whipped out a book and started reading. 😆

Six players hanging out in Ankha's house.
That pyramid makes this house hard to walk around in!

We then headed over to the race course for some vaulting pole races. In the first race, Alex beat Logan. And yes, there was an aurora in the sky. 🙂

In the following races, I beat Beth, and then Bran defeated Xavier.

We went over to the western part of town, where we fell into holes…to our deaths?

Six of us fall into frosty holes.

After that, Wiicked joined, so we had seven players. We hung out in the castle for a bit, while Logan twerked in my face, and then we ate some vegetables? 😛 We then attacked Logan’s french fries with nets. Why? Fry guy must die.

We went wand crazy, rapidly changing outfits for no apparent reason, and then I found a lost item. It belonged to Agent S, and Bran helped me track her down. (Agent S rewarded me with a knit hat.)

Agent S: This is the bag I lost! Thanks bunches for bringing it back to me.

Alex disconnected, but immediately returned. We then played some six-player sumo (Wiicked did not participate.) Four of us were eliminated within seconds, while Alex and Beth battled it out for a good ten seconds after that. Alex ultimately won, right as Sasha walked into the ring. 😆 Congrats, Alex!

Alex wins a sumo match in Animal Crossing: New Horizons (ACNH).

We played another round, and it was a much quicker battle. Logan, now wearing a mohawk, quickly defeated all of us. Interestingly, Xavier got pushed out of the ring without ever falling into a pitfall though! Congrats on the win, Mohawk Logan! Or should I just say Mogan?

Logan celebrates a sumo win.

Bran then left for the night, and Alex suggested that we should get some coffee. So we headed up to the Roost, except for Wiicked, who generally does not like to participate in most activities for some reason. Logan bought some coffee for himself, but the game won’t let us buy coffee as a group unless everyone was in the Roost. So that was a bit of a fail.

Logan told us a short story about a barnacle named Jeff that was so mean that everyone died. Great story. 😛 We did some reactions in the Roost, and we eventually gave up on coffee and went back outside.

Around 11:40, Wiicked and Alex quietly left. I was nearly done playing at this point, but I figured the rest of us should go back and get that coffee while we could. Even though someone unsuccessfully tried to enter (or re-enter) Forest, we were able to gulp down our coffee. (Update: It was Alex trying to re-enter.)

After that, I ended the session for the night. Thanks to everyone who came! I had fun! 🙂

Busy Roost

On Monday, there was a camper at the campsite. But before I could go inside, I had to deal with Rio! She stood in front of it, almost as if she was guarding it. 😆

Rio: What a super evening, viva!

Once I did get inside, I found Colton the horse.

Colton: Hey, you're a local, right? The name's Colton.

I wasn’t interested in keeping him, so I just let him ride off into the sunset. 😛 Unless Rio planned on keeping him for herself, I don’t know. 😛

Today is February 1st, and Nook’s Cranny is now selling Festivale items. I bought this Festivale confetti machine and gave it to Rio.

Tommy: Seems like you're interested in a Festivale confetti machine.

Also, the Valentine’s Day items (the chocolate heart and heart-shaped bouquet) are now available through Nook Shopping.

I went up to the Roost to get some coffee, and all of the stools were taken. Ankha and Leif were also there enjoying a cup of joe.

And if that wasn’t enough, Kapp’n also came in for some coffee! Brewster is having a lot of business today!

Kapp'n: This be a fine spot to bring the family too.
Oh, no, Ankha and Leif aren’t my family.

Here are a few other quick notes from the past few days.

  • The Snowboy from last Saturday sent me a frozen mini snowperson.
  • Louie gave me a new nickname: Vitamin J.
  • My bank account balance reached 51 million bells on Sunday.
  • Wisp gave me a graduation gown on Monday.
  • Gulliver sent me a sombrero on Tuesday.

And just to confirm, I still plan on hosting Friday Night Forest this Friday at 10:00 p.m. Eastern Standard time (7 p.m. Pacific time). Anyone on my friend roster is welcome. I may not have anything new to show off, but we can run some vaulting pole races again.

Hope to see you again soon!
