Festive Season Starts

As of yesterday, some cedar trees are now decorated with festive lights for the holidays. Ornaments can now be shaken from those trees too. ๐ŸŽ„

Punchy was in a giving mood, as he gave me a festive wreath.

Punchy: Anyway, I just really, really wanna give you this festive wreath. So I'm gonna. Riiight about...now!

I took it home and put in on my door.

Later on, I went over to Beth’s town for a short visit. I like how you can see the festive lights on silhouetted trees in the distance.

Walker was crafting a tabletop festive tree, but I already knew how to make that. So he gave me three gold ornaments instead!

Walker: Take 3 gold ornaments. They're all yours!

Beth’s town is so beautiful! I particularly love this area with the double waterfall and the crescent-moon chair at the top.

Today, I found Gullivarrr in town, and I retrieved his communicator for him.

Punchy pinged me later, and he gave me some cat grass. That’s right, he gave me cat grass!

Punchy: Hey! I want ya to have this here cat grass!

But I didn’t munch on it myself. Instead, I decided to place it right outside of Punchy’s house where he can nibble on it any time he likes. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Hornsby’s Relaxing Spot

On Saturday night, K.K. Slider performed K.K. Dixie for me, Hornsby, Punchy, and Static. And over at the campsite, Bella the vampire mouse was camping out.

Bella: Hey! It's nice to meet you! I'm Bella! You live on this island, right?

Marina was sick with a cold, so I got some medicine out of storage for her. After taking the medicine, she rewarded me with a broom and dustpan.

Marina: I'd like to thank you by giving you a broom and dustpan.

That made me wonder if she was just sweeping up some dust; maybe she just has allergies, not a cold! ๐Ÿงน

Yesterday, I visited Marina again…and I wasn’t the only one. Hornsby was also there, “relaxing” on Marina’s toilet. I think he even wanted to take a nap right there. ๐Ÿ˜†

Hornsby: It's so relaxing. If I had a snack and a cozy spot, I could take a nap.

Today, C.J. was in town, and he wanted me to catch three big-time fish in a row for a seasports challenge. So I caught a yellow perch, red snapper, and a black bass. C.J. gave me 5,550 bells for the three of them. But I wasn’t done with him; I went home and got 30 fish out of storage (mostly sturgeon, football fish, and pike). He gave me over 300k for them all.

C.J.: Oh, you got a whole school for me? All together that'll be 310,500 bells. Deal?

I found a lost item on the ground, and it turned out to be a shopping bag that belonged to Bones. He rewarded me with a knit hat for returning the bag.

Bones, shocked: You found--
You’re welcome.

See you all next time! ๐Ÿ™‚

December FNF

Yesterday, Gulliver sent me a candy-skull mask as my latest reward.

Tonight, I opened my gate at 10:00 for Friday Night Forest. Beth, Logan, Sam, Nami, Jac, Wiicked, and Bran came over–that’s a full house! I guess that’s what happens when I actually remind people about FNF on Twitter. ๐Ÿ˜› The elves headed over to my new holiday area, where they could vault “into” a waiting sleigh. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Meanwhile, Logan and Nami were horrified by my “puppy pod” that I mentioned last time. Nami even set up my execution! Do I really deserve to be executed when the puppy itself is still alive??

Nami: The execution.

After a bit, we took a group photo with Santa.

We then headed to the other side of town for a bunch of vaulting races.

There was some confusion because some people thought you had to sit down at the end before raising the flag, but you don’t.

After we were done, we visited my newest neighbor, Punchy. He was surprised to have so many people in his house, but we were surprised to see he was dressed as an elf, just like most of us!

Punchy: Oh wow, I dunno if I've ever had this many folks in my house at once.

Jolly Redd was in town, and somehow we ended up near his ship. We almost formed the shape of a Christmas tree, although I don’t think it was intentional.

We later glitched into tubs, put green warts on an ocean sunfish, and worshiped at a pitfall shrine. ๐Ÿ˜› Around 11:30, Jac and Wiicked left.

The rest of us had a ten-minute diving competition. I caught an abalone that somehow split into two! After bringing it up, the shadow was still underwater…and I caught it again! I’ve seen two people catch the same sea creature before, but I never caught the same thing twice like this. ๐Ÿ˜›

I ended up with 20 catches, which was good for 2nd place. Nami won the competition with a whopping 23 catches! Congrats, Nami!

After that, MaryAnn (aka Yann) came over to visit! Wiicked also returned, so we were back at full capacity again. I showed Yann my holiday area, and I took some photos.

Logan (who had been dressed as Santa for much of the night) dug holes underneath us. Fortunately, Nami came to our rescue. ๐Ÿ˜›

Jeff: BAD SANTA!

Yann also got to test out the vaulting pole course, which she enjoyed. Around 12:20, Nami and Logan left. Most of us remaining changed into Mario outfits. We visited Static, and I showed Yann the tub glitching. She was glad to see glitching still works; we always enjoyed glitching in the older games. ๐Ÿ™‚

Around 12:35, I ended the session for the night. Thanks to all who came, it was fun! ๐Ÿ™‚

I do want to give a shout-out to Xavier, who tried to join in tonight, but couldn’t get in. Sorry it didn’t work out this time! ๐Ÿ™
