Rio’s Itchy Brain

Yesterday, Gullivarrr sent me a sideways pirate barrel in the mail. I like it. 🏴‍☠️

With Halloween just a couple of days away, some characters are dressing up for the occasion. That includes Timmy and Tommy, who were wearing cute hats that made them look like…animals? 😛

Timmy and Tommy dressed up as...animals... for Halloween.

Celeste was in town last night, and she gave me a large star fragment. It’s kind of funny how she pulls this big, jagged, glowing (and possibly radioactive) meteorite out of her pocket like it’s nothing. 😆

Celeste: What a sight, wouldn't you agree? Anyhoo, it was so lovely, I wanted to share it with you, Jeff!

Rio was sitting near the pond up on Bird’s Nest Mountain, and she was complaining big-time about the fact that she was itching all over.

Rio: My brain itches, Jeff! MY BIG CHIC BRAIN!

I swung my net and caught a flea, and she was shocked that she had fleas.

Rio: Ohmigosh..
You’re welcome. Now give me your photo, please. 😉

She thanked me for saving her from the agony. But of course, she offered no reward. 😛

Tonight, K.K. Slider was in town. I asked for a random song, and he played Soulful K.K. for me and Bones.

K.K. Slider performs for Jeff and Bones.
A skeleton and Bones enjoyed the concert together.

Enjoy your weekend, and have a Happy Halloween! See you again soon! 🎃

A Monster Look

On Sunday night, Wisp was in town. After I gathered up his spirits for him, he gave me a public telephone.

On Monday night, Sasha was almost ready for bed when I visited. He wondered what Santa Claus does in March. His hat looked like a Santa’s hat, just not red. So I wonder if that’s what made him think of Santa. 🎅

Sasha: Didja ever wonder what Santa Claus is doing in March?

He concluded that Santa probably takes the elves on a tropical vacation where they eat from a mile-long sundae bar, and go on shark rides for fun.

Sasha: I bet he takes the elves somewhere nice and tropical...

Yesterday, Rio seemingly complimented my Halloween costume. She even asked if it was movie makeup.

Rio: Wow! Is that movie makeup? You look like a monster! It's so cool!

But she was actually referring to a wasp sting on my face! She apologized for calling me a monster, even though it still would have been appropriate due to the costume. 😉

Rio: What?! You were stung by a wasp?! Ohmigosh! You poor thing! I'm so sorry I called you a monster!

A bit later, Marina gave me some medicine for the sting. But instead of using it myself, I gave it to Agent S, who was sick with a cold. She gave me a mug for helping out. And I continued walking around with a swollen eye. 😛

Louie: Ew! Um... Maybe you're going for a new look, but that seems a little bit extreme, oh banana.

That’s about the only way to get villagers to be a bit rude in this game, other than hurting them. 😛

Bones: Wow, um, yikes. Your face is looking rough
“Rough rough!”

Today, I helped out Gullivarrr by diving into the ocean and retrieving his communicator.

I also worked a bit more on my race, and it’s about 90% done. I may finish it up over the weekend and have some races early next week, if all goes well. It is a fairly simple course though, so it’s definitely not the most elaborate race. But at least it doesn’t have a bunch of things that need to be reset after each race, unlike some previous courses I’ve made.

Anyway, I recently posted my latest New Horizons Moments video. Check it out!

Comic About Comics

On Thursday, Gulliver sent me a tubeteika in the mail. Later, I (finally) started working on my new race course. It’s actually not the one I was originally planning for September, but I had an idea for something different instead.

Tonight, K.K. Slider was in town, and I told him I was in a good mood. So he played K.K. Groove for me, Ketchup, Static, and Bones.

K.K.: right on, you hep cats and kittens. Jeff's in the mood for K.K. Groove, dig?

I haven’t been giving Rio many gifts, even though I still need to earn her photo. I need to pick up the pace! 😛 So I gave her a snare drum tonight, and she seemed to enjoy it.

Rio: Wait, for realsies?! A snare drum!

She gave me a kung-fu tee in return. I enjoyed it significantly less than she enjoyed the drum. 😆

I then found Agent S in an unusual place: the north beach. The camera switch to an awkward overhead view as she told me about the comic she’s currently reading. It’s a comic about stand-up comics. 😛

Agent S: The one I'm reading now is called Seriously/Not Funny and it's a comic about... stand-up comics!

She said she’s considering adding a stand-up routine to her repertoire. Sounds good!

I’ll be working more on my new race over the next several days or so, but I’m not sure when it will be done. But stay tuned for updates!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
