Ketchup on Everything

While enjoying some coffee in the Roost on Thursday, Blathers came in. He made the long walk (from the next room over) to get some coffee for himself. 😛

Blathers: This cafe has been a boon to our museum. It tickles my talons to see so many visitors among our exhibits!

I imagine he needs a lot of coffee, considering he works 24/7. ☕

Yesterday, Beardo told me that when he was a child, he used to put ketchup on everything. Literally everything, even popcorn! Yuck!

Beardo: I used to put ketchup on everything. I mean EVERYTHING.
I’m just wondering if he had the same mustache and sideburns when he was a child. 😛

Gulliver was in town, so I collected his communicator parts for him. In return, he sent me a tubeteika (hat) in the mail today. I didn’t care for it, so I just sold it.

I also sold my 30 turnips for just 47 bells apiece today, for a total of 1,410 bells. That’s almost nothing, but I didn’t pay a cent for them anyway, so it’s no big deal.

K.K. Slider was in town tonight, and he performed in the rain. He played K.K. Rally for me, Louie, Agent S, and Sasha.

K.K.: Right on. I'm tuned up and ready to roll. Who's in the mood for a little K.K. Rally?

My friend Beth recently drew me and all of my Forest villagers, except for Beardo (leaving him out was my request, haha). I think she did an amazing job, and I love the watercolor-style sky! Maybe Nintendo should make a special sky like that in future games. 🙂 Watercolor Wednesdays or something. 😂

Beth's art. Welcome to Forest.

Thank you very much, Beth! 🙂 For those of you who have been around a while, you may remember she also drew my New Leaf villagers back in 2016.

See you all next time!

Ketchup’s Birthday

Ketchup’s birthday was today, and I made sure to attend her party. However, she probably wasn’t amused with her gift: more French fries. 😂🍟

Ketchup: Wow! You got me some french fries?! FAB! I bet it's deeeeee-licious!

Marina was also at the party, and she wanted to celebrate her friend eight times. 😛

Marina: It's so nice to be able to celebrate a friend together, eight times!
You could dip a fry in ketchup with each arm.

Ketchup said she was so happy that she might explode!

Ketchup: I'm so happy I might explode! Please promise you'll clean up if I explode?
Is that what happens on your expiration date?

If she did, there would be Ketchup everywhere. Literally.

When I visited Agent S, she was talking about how she feels when she first moves into a new house. She said it feels like someone else’s house at first, but eventually, it turns into home.

Agent S: But after a little while, like...it turns into HOME. It's warm and safe and your own little place in the world.

I know it’s just a coincidence that she’s saying this after I forced her to renovate her house, but it fits the situation. Hopefully she feels that way about her house now.

Celeste was in town for a meteor shower, and she gave me five star fragments. Static mentioned Celeste’s appearance in town, but his catchphrase made it sound like he was warning me not to question her about the stars. 😛

Static: So I guess Celeste is here, if you're lookin' for someone to explain the stars in the sky to you, I'll zap you.

I posted my latest video today, Wi-Fi Moments #23. It features highlights from my last few online sessions. Please check it out if you’re interested!

Beardo the Anchorman

On Sunday, I learned some breaking news: Beardo was once an anchorman!

Beardo: It's like when I was a news anchor for a brief period of time.
Stay classy.

Hmm, he does look a bit like Ron Burgundy with that mustache, now that he mentions it…

K.K. Slider was in town for his rescheduled appearance, and I told him I was in a good mood. So he played K.K. Disco for me…which then ruined my mood (just kidding). Ketchup, Hornsby, and Marina were also there for the show.

K.K.: Right on, you hep cats and kittens. Jeff's in the mood for K.K. Disco, dig?

On Monday, Beardo mentioned Alex, who visited on Friday night. He really loved Alex’s “stage name.”

Beardo: The Definition of Trash!

He wished he thought of it himself, and I agree. It really describes Beardo well (and not Alex).

Marina asked me for a new catchphrase to replace “oh banana,” which she learned from Louie. I hate when villagers use catchphrases made specifically for someone else, so I changed hers to “eight times.”

Marina: Oh, thank you so much! I'll start using this new catchphrase from here on out, eight time!
Knowing me, you’ll use it a lot more than that.

Today, Naomi the blue cow was camping at the campsite. I had no interest in inviting her to graze in Forest, so she can keep on mooving.

Naomi, at the campsite: Well, you're not a shy one, are you? My name's Naomi. How kind of you to stop by.

Label was in town, and she wanted to see me in some formal clothes. She gave me an emblem blazer to use as an example. I went home to change into a vibrant tuxedo, top hat, and wedding shoes. Label loved it, and she gave me some Labelle socks.

Label: Amazing! I've never seen an outfit so perfectly coordinated!
That’s a lie.

I’m working on putting together the next Wi-Fi Moments video, so look for it in the next couple of days! See you again soon!
