Sunday Night Fireworks 2022

At about 7:04 p.m., I opened my gate for Sunday Night Fireworks. But twice, I got disconnected when Alec tried to join. But the third try was the charm, as Beth, Alec, and Logan came over. We headed over to the plaza, and Isabelle gave me a flower bopper to wear.

Isabelle: You'll shine as bright as the fireworks in the sky while wearing your flower bopper.

We went up to my moon-viewing area to watch some fireworks…and fall into some holes.

After some more fun with handheld fireworks, we headed over to the space race. Logan was on “brb,” so Alec and Beth raced against each other. However, Alec missed one of the thrusters, so he had to go back for it. That allowed Beth to rocket ahead into a pretty big lead and she won the race. Congrats, Beth!

After a brief (but unsuccessful) search for Logan, we decided to just play some sumo. Beth defeated Alec, and then I defeated Beth.

Logan magically appeared around this time. He beat me, and then lost to Alec. So all four of us finished with one win and one loss! I’m tempted to say that’s pretty odd…but it’s actually pretty even! ⚖

After the matches, we all fell into the remaining pitfalls just for fun. 😛

We then had a 10-minute diving competition, and it was really close! Beth won with 22 catches, I had 21, Alec had 20, and Logan had 19.

Logan left around 8:40, and the rest of enjoyed the fireworks…while napping.

I closed my gate about 5-10 minutes later. Thanks to everyone who came, it was fun!

Maximum Storage

My storage has now been expanded to the max, and I can hoard an amazing total of 5,000 items.

Storage: 3,365 / 5,000

K.K. Slider was in town tonight, and I told him I was in a great mood. He played K.K. Parade, for me, Louie, and Static. Even though it may be categorized as a happy song, it’s not exactly one of my favorites.

Marina was talking about taking baths, and how she likes to light candles and read a book while soaking in the tub. She said she gets so wrapped up in the book that she lets the bathwater get cold…eight times.

Marina: Sometimes I'll get so absorbed in what I'm reading that I let the bathwater get cold, eight times.

Bitty the hungry hungry hippo was camping at the campsite. She seemed nice, but there’s no way I was going to ask her to move in. So I took my marbles and went home.

Bitty: Ah, do you live here? I'm Bitty. A pleasure.

After I got some coffee at the Roost, my Switch overheated again and shut down. I need to remember to turn on a fan every time I’m playing for more than a few minutes…at least until I get my Switch repaired or replaced.

Sunday Night Fireworks is coming up tomorrow, and I’ll be opening my gate at 7 p.m. Eastern time (4 p.m. Pacific, midnight London time). This may also be the last time I host space races.

Shirt Flavors

On Wednesday night, I went into my house to grab some bugs to sell to Flick. Unfortunately, I only had two bugs in storage. But as I tried to leave my house, Beardo barged in. I wasn’t about to entertain him, so I just walked right out the door anyway.

Beardo: Oh no! I've been keeping you from something. I hope it wasn't a movie premiere or a fashion show!

Yesterday, Forest Fit had two different cavalier hats. Except that one of them was just furniture that I used as a decoration when I designed the shop, and the other one was an actual inventory item you could buy.

I call it macaroni.

Today, Sasha was telling me that if he spills food on his clothes, he can suck the flavor out later. That’s kinda gross. 😛

Sasha: If I drop food on my shirt? I can suck the flavor out later. SLUUURP!
What if it was pigeon droppings? 🤢

I found a lost item (a book) on the ground, and I eventually returned it to Beardo. He rewarded me with a dotted raincoat that I’m never going to wear.

Label was in town, and she wanted to see me in an outdoorsy outfit. She gave me an anorak jacket as an example of what to try for. I put it on, and I also added some outdoor shorts, sporty shades, basketball shoes, and a bicycle helmet. Label thought it was perfect, and she rewarded me with a Labelle hat.

Label: ...A Labelle hat, you see. It's from my brand. I'd love for you to have it.

I went inside Resident Services to expand my storage for the final time. It cost a whopping 1.2 million bells!

Tom Nook: Quality requires an up-front payment of 1,200,000 bells. Would you like to pay that now so we can begin?

But this should increase my storage up to 5,000 items as of tomorrow. Pretty sweet. 😎

Just to confirm, I’m planning on hosting Sunday Night Fireworks on Sunday night right when the fireworks start: 7 p.m. Eastern time (4 p.m. Pacific). I should be open for at least an hour, and anyone on my friend roster is welcome.

I recently posted my latest New Horizons Moments video. Check it out if you’d like. 🙂

I’ll be back with another blog entry tomorrow. Hope to see you then!
