Birthday Season

Yesterday, Agent S sent me a letter thanking me for attending her birthday party. She even sent me her photo along with the letter! (I already had one, but it’s still a very nice gesture.)

When I visited Marina, she was reading a book while sitting on the toilet! The worst part is that she said she’s basically in love with her toilet! 😲

Marina: Is it weird to love an object? Because I'm basically in love with my tankless toilet...
Actually that is weird, Marina. Not to mention, you’re flushing. I mean blushing.

Wisp was in town last night, and he gave me a metal-and-wood table after I returned his spirits to him.

Today is Apollo’s birthday, so I made sure to attend his birthday party. I gave him a suspicious cauldron that I recently crafted, after finding the recipe on Lottie’s Island. Apollo said it was one of the best gifts he ever got, even though he was probably lying. 😛

Apollo: Well, on a cliff, I didn't expect a suspicious cauldron!

Sasha was also at the party, and he told me about his 6th birthday party. He said a clown went into his house and never came out. 😛

Sasha: That's when the birthday clown went in our house...and never came out!

It’s definitely birthday season in Forest. In addition to Apollo’s birthday today, Static’s birthday is coming up on July 9th, and Agent S and Marina recently celebrated as well. That’s four villager birthdays in a two-week span!

Four villager birthdays in a short span.

Update: Also, Ketchup has a birthday on July 27th, making five villager birthdays (half my town) in a 31-day span! Add in Bones on August 4th, and that’s six villager birthdays in a six-week span! I have a town full of summer babies.

Faith the koala was camping at the campsite today. Not only is she one one of the original GameCube islanders, but she’s also really cute. One of my favorite koalas, in fact. However, I did not ask her to move in.

Faith, at the campsite: Hey, do you live out here? You do! What's up, temporary-neighbor!

I remembered to make my usual Monday visit to the hospital to get 30 you-know-whats from you-know-who. I also told Dr. Octavian that I felt dizzy, and he gave me some eye gauze.

Back in town, Label was there, wanting to see me in a goth outfit. I changed into my skeleton outfit (and I added some impish wings), and Label loved the ghastly look. 😛

Label: Amazing! I've never seen an outfit so perfectly coordinated!
Yes you have. You say that almost every time. 😛

She gave me some Labelle shorts, and she’ll be sending me some tailors tickets in the mail as well.

Agent S Birthday

On Thursday, Gulliver sent me a geisha wig in the mail. Not only is that perhaps my least-favorite item he gives, but it’s at least the 5th one he’s sent me. 😛

At Nook’s Cranny, the Nooklings were paying 122 bells for turnips. So I sold my 50 turnips from Joan for a total of 6,100 bells.

Yesterday, I put some money into my account and my balance reached 41 million bells.

Savings Balance: 41,000,000 bells

Today, Agent S was celebrating her birthday. Since I had some star fragments in my pockets (that I picked up on the beach), I crafted her a star clock for her present. I also customized it to be blue and then wrapped it up. Agent S thought it was an awesome gift when I gave it to her at the party. 😁

Agent S: Ohmigosh! You got me a star clock?! This is SO awesome!

Happy birthday, Agent S! 🎈🎂 Another cute, short villager was there celebrating: Ketchup.

Ketchup: I hope this birthday is a super-mega-awesome one for Agent S!
Don’t you wish you could bottle her enthusiasm and save it for another day? 😉

This was Agent S’s third birthday party here in town. She celebrated with Apollo last year, and Hornsby in 2020.

Over at the plaza, K.K. Slider was performing. I asked him for a random song, and he played K.K. Condor (one of my favorites) for me and Bones.

K.K. sings for Jeff and Bones.

Within the next few days, I plan on posting a video of my Happy Home Paradise designs. So stay tuned for that, and I’ll see you all again soon.

Nat’s Class

On Monday night, I found Donkey Kong Louie enjoying some nighttime coffee at the Roost.

Louie: Whoa! You're on Team Night Coffee too, oh banana?

When I went out to Lottie’s Island, I was surprised to see Nat on the beach! He said he was giving a lecture on bugs at the school, but he couldn’t find the school. 😛

Nat: Hello there! By any chance are you from Paradise Planning? My name is Nat, and I'm in a bit of a pickle.

I agreed to show him the way, and then we magically appeared in the classroom. He said that I can now release bugs into yards of vacation homes.

Nat, at the classroom: I'd like everyone to select a bug from their pockets and set it free into a vacation home's yard. Any bug at all.

The only catch is that I have to bring my own bugs, to have them fly (or crawl) around freely. You can’t use the bugs from the catalog if you want them to be free. This is a pretty cool feature; imagine filling a yard with fireflies!

I remembered to visit the hospital, and Joan gave me 50 turnips this week. When I told Dr. Octavian I had a stinging pain in my knees, he gave me some knee bandages this time (instead of a mummy outfit).

Octavian: All done! Told you I'd be quick. Now, if you inspect your pockets, you'll notice some knee bandages in there.

On Tuesday night, Wisp was in town. I gathered up his spirits for him, and he gave me a simple bed.

Today, I found Gulliver on the beach. I found (and returned) his communicator parts for him, so he’ll send me a reward in the mail tomorrow.

In Peach Park, I found Ketchup having a “sit party” all by herself. So I plopped down next to her for a few moments. My presence didn’t make it any more of a party, but at least she wasn’t alone.

Nook’s Cranny was paying extra for garden rocks today, so I got a couple rows of stones out of storage and crafted a few dozen garden rocks to sell. I have too many materials in storage, so this was a good opportunity to thin them out a bit…and make some bells in the process.

I found a bone tee in the recycle box at Resident Services, and I decided to wear it. I’ve been wearing green for a while, so I might as well give yellow a try.

When I was up on the cliff, I saw Beardo hanging out just below the edge. So I watered him a few times, and then I hit him with my net. He told me to knock it off, even though he was speaking from a lower level. 😛

Beardo: Hey, I'm not really a fan of that. Can you knock it off?

SPOILER ALERT

Again, if you don’t want to be spoiled by a feature at the end of Happy Home Paradise, you may want to stop reading this entry now. Fair warning. 😛

When I went out to Lottie’s Island, I was a bit surprised to see little glowing things in the air!

It turns out there was another music festival underway, so I made my way to the north beach to do some dancing. Rolf, Cephalobot, and Rio were all there dancing…that’s three villagers I would really like to have in Forest.

DJ K.K. performs at the music festival for Jeff, Rolf, Avery, Rio, Cephalobot, and others.

I’m glad the music festival wasn’t just a one-time thing. It’s a fun little distraction every now and then.

See you all next time! 🙂
