First Fight with Sasha

Yesterday, I was surprised to get a call from Harvey, of all people.

Harvey, on the phone: Hello...? Oh, hey, it's Harvey. I'm calling on the phone part of your phone.
Oh, is there such a thing? Why can’t I make calls?

He was calling to remind me that it’s wedding season, and I can take photos with Reese and Cyrus out on Harvey’s Island. I instantly lost interest. 😂

Over at Able Sisters, I couldn’t resist buying this tough helmet.

Jeff tries on a tough helmet at Able Sisters in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

It reminded me of the “Bully” enemies in the Mario series.

A Bully from Super Mario 64.

Dora the mouse was camping at the campsite. She’s cute (especially for a mouse), but I did not invite her to town.

Dora, at the campsite: Hi, are you a resident? Seems like a great place to live, squeaky.

I looked so menacing coming out of the tent with this helmet on. 😂

My helmet emerges from the tent.
WHO’S THAT POKEMON?

When I went out to Harv’s Island, Harvey introduced me to Reese, as if I don’t see her every day. 🙄

Harvey: OK, so this here si Reese...
O RLY?

I was then forced inside of Harv’s house so he could tell me about the wedding photos. They should really update this now that Reese & Cyrus already have another role and can be seen daily. The weirdest part is that when you go outside, they’re outside at their normal customization stand too! So there are apparently two Reeses and two Cyruses.

Gullivarrr was in town today, and I went diving to retrieve his communicator for him. I also caught my first shark of the season: a whale shark. Nice!

Sasha asked me to make a delivery to Ketchup, and I agreed to help out. But first, I went to the shop. The Nooklings were paying 108 bells for turnips, so I sold my free turnips from Joan for 5,400 bells.

I noticed a package in my pockets, and I was thinking it was from a balloon present I shot down. But then I realized I just opened Ketchup’s gift from Sasha! Oops! Ketchup didn’t seem to mind (or even notice) that the gift was unwrapped, but Sasha sure did! He was not happy!

Sasha: You...OPENED IT? Why would-- I mean-- You just-- You handed over an open present?!
You’re welcome.

Maybe your wrapping should look a bit nicer than the random presents that literally fall from the sky, and I would have noticed!

Sasha had to keep repeating that he was trying to find his happy place (presumably to keep himself from fighting me), and I thought that was rude. I did him a favor! Deliver it yourself next time, jerk!

Hitting Sasha with a net.

Or maybe this helmet really did turn me into a Bully. 😉

Wisp was in town, and I gathered up his spirits for him. In return, he gave me a small cafe table. And later, I spotted Apple out on Lottie’s Island; she didn’t recognize me. 🙁

Jolly Saharah?

On Sunday, I posted my house tour video. The science pod that I ordered was originally intended for my main room. But when I saw how huge it was (and how it blocked the view of other parts of the room), I decided to put it outside my house instead.

Wisp was in town on Sunday night. I recovered his spirits and returned them to him. In return, he gave me an athletic outfit.

Wisp's spirits re-enter his body. Yikes.

Yesterday, I found a special character selling stuff on the north beach. But it wasn’t Jolly Redd; it was Saharah!

Saharah: Surely your eyes will grow wide, like mouth of yawning beluga whale. Your heart will race when you see it.

I don’t think she’s going to get much business hiding back there, but I did buy a mysterious wallpaper from her. It turned out to be a dojo wall. I hope it’s not a forgery. 😉

I went out to the hospital, and Joan gave me 50 turnips this time. I forgot to visit her last week…oops. But while I was there, I made an appointment to see the doctor. This time, I told him my head was pounding, and he gave me some head bandages.

Octavian: All done! There, wasn't that easy? And if you check your pockets, you'll find some head bandages in there.

Today, Kicks was the visitor in town. I had no use for him, but I liked Ketchup’s bit of dialogue where she mentioned that she’s never worn shoes in her life. 😛

Ketchup: I've never worn shoes in my life. But if I did, I'd want fabulous fast food fashion for sure, at the Depot.

I was speaking to Bones too much, and he eventually got annoyed. He had some squiggly lines appear over his head, and I took a photo with them. 😉

Bones's squiggly don't-talk-to-me lines on my face.

See you all again soon! Have a good day!

Easiest Project Ever

Marina told me that she fell into a pit the other day (which isn’t true), and it took her half the morning to get out. Even though that ruined her mood, her luck improved when she caught a giant fish later on (also not true). 😛

Marina: The other day, I fell into a pit and it took all morning to climb back out.

I recorded my new house tour today, and I hope to upload it tomorrow (after I get my house score from the Happy Home Academy).

K.K. Slider was in town tonight, and I asked him for a random song. He played K.K. Mariachi for me, Sasha, and Ketchup. After the show, Ketchup recited a little poem:

Winter went, and spring has come!
Let’s celebrate by doing something dumb!

-Ketchup, 2022

She then told me to shut up. 😮

Ketchup: What? It kind of rhymed. Shut up.
Rude.

Out on Lottie’s Island, I worked a shift at Paradise Planning. Rod wanted a pirate hideaway, and I thought that would be a fun project to do! However, my excitement quickly walked the plank when I saw that none of the pirate items were available for this project! Oof.

I put a few barrels around Rod’s tiny island, along with some tiki torches and a creepy skeleton. At least I was able to put a skull doorplate on the door.

Indoors, I used some elegant golden furniture for Rod to store his stash of gold and bells. I also included a gold-nugget mining car, a throwback skull radio, a hammock, and a treasure map. For the wall and carpet, I used a sea wall and ship deck.

When I returned to the office, I was surprised to find Tom Nook there. He told Lottie that we can now use products from Nook Shopping! I’m assuming that means any item that I can normally order, but I haven’t tested it yet.

Tom Nook: I'll make arrangements so you can order any of the products from Nook Shopping for your vacation homes!

Lottie paid me 15,000 Poki for my work. I normally stop after designing one house, but I encountered the easiest project possible: Teddy wanted a place that’s packed up to move! I didn’t want to miss the opportunity to get one step closer to my goal with minimal work, so I took the job.

I chose a desert location for him, just because I’ve rarely had a chance to use these desert islands. And if Teddy is moving out right away, it doesn’t really matter anyway. 😛 He insisted on a moving truck outdoors, and I loved the fact that it had a teddy bear on it (just like Teddy himself)! 🧸 I also added some cacti to fit the climate.

Teddy's moving truck.

Indoors, I just used a bunch of cardboard boxes in various stack shapes. 😂 Easiest project ever. 😎

Teddy's vacation home with his belongings all packed up in boxes.

Teddy was thrilled with his house full of boxes, and I was thrilled to steal “earn” 15,000 Poki for my “work.” 😛

That’s all for tonight. There may not be a blog entry tomorrow, but I will be posting my house tour to Youtube. See you next time!
