30th HHP Home

Ken was camping at the campsite today, but I didn’t see any sign of Barbie.

Ken: Hey, you're a local, right? The name's Ken. Ha HA! That's how I laugh.
Is Barbie scared to go camping? Maybe she’s a big chicken.

K.K. Slider was in town for his usual Saturday night performance (even though the sun was still shining). 😛 I asked him for a random song, and he played K.K. Oasis for me. Sasha, Bones, Beardo, and Louie were also in attendance.

After the show, I went out to Lottie’s Island to work a shift at Paradise Planning. Monty the monkey wanted a place where he could work on solving mysteries. I picked out an island where there are old pillars he may want to investigate. But also, it looks like his house was built in a crater!

I gave him a parabolic antenna to listen to sounds from space, a flying saucer, a monster statue, and an exam table for alien autopsies. 👽

Monty
The truth is out there.

Indoors, he wanted some office furniture. I customized his document stacks to include papers from NASA and some surveillance photos of the moon. 🌑 An electronics kit will let him test any mysterious objects he finds. And I also used display stands to show off some of his previous discoveries, including a sproingoid from the depths of Saturn’s moon Titan, and a skull from New Jersey.

He enjoyed his new vacation home, and hopefully he can get to work and solve some mysteries ASAP.

Back at the office, Lottie paid me 15,000 Poki. She then informed me that was the 30th vacation home I’ve designed! So we went out to the cafe to celebrate.

Lottie: CHEEERS!

Wardell was wearing a fake mustache for reasons that I don’t understand. Maybe Monty can look into that for me. 😛

Wardell, wearing a fake mustache: Thirty clients... Well done.

Lottie told me that we’re now able to start work on the final facility. Sounds good!

See you all next time!

Small Fry, Big Fish

On Wednesday, Timmy told me that he was paying 109 bells for turnips. So I sold my measly 30 turnips from Joan for 3,270 bells.

After checking Lottie’s Island last night, I left the game in sleep mode overnight. When I resumed today, I tried to fly to Harv’s Island…but Wilbur told me I couldn’t do it!

Wilbur: Sorry--that's a nega-ton negatory right now. Can't send flights that way because of...classified stuff.

Because a new day had started, I was forced to travel back to Forest before I could go out again.

C.J. was in town today, and he wanted me to catch three small-fry fish in a row for his seasports challenge. But after catching two small fish, I spotted a shark in the ocean! There were no other small fish around, so should I sacrifice my streak for the shark? Not to mention, there’s a chance that the “shark” could be a suckerfish. What would you do?

I decided to catch the shark, which turned out to be a hammerhead. It’s not that hard to find three small fish again.

Text box after I caught a hammerhead shark: This isn't a small fry, though... Just reel it in and try again!
It was totally worth it.

Beardo pinged me, wanting a new catchphrase to replace “oh banana,” which he obviously learned from Louie. When a villager is using someone else’s custom catchphrase, that’s about the only time I actually do change it. 😛 I told Beardo to say “unbearable,” because that’s what he is. But he turned it around on me like a savage.

Beardo: Unbearable, huh... Wow, it already makes me think of your face.

I gave him a few hits with my net for that one. 😛

Once I caught three (more) small fish, I returned to C.J.; he gave me 15,000 bells for the six fish in my pockets (which included the hammerhead).

Not long after that, I spotted a very large fish shadow in my small circular pond (the Zelda fairy fountain). I fished out an arapaima!

I caught an arapaima! How did it get here? Arapaiknow!

With that, and several other fish I grabbed out of storage, I scored another 168,000 bells from C.J.

As if that didn’t already get me into a fishing mood, Louie asked me to catch a tilapia for him. So I continued fishing until I caught one…and of course, I caught a lot of other good fish in the process too. Louie ultimately gave me a loungewear shirt for the tilapia, but the real prize was all the other fish I was able to sell: Another 110,000+ bells worth; that’s nearly 300k in total for the day! 😮

I took my earnings over to Resident Services and deposited the money into my account. My balance has now reached 40 million bells. 😎

Savings balance: 40,000,000 bells.

I’ll be back with another entry tomorrow. Hope to see you then!

Runny Nose

On Sunday, Agent S said that she loves living in Forest, at least partially because she’s the queen bee here! Isn’t she kind of insulting everyone else?

Agent S: Living on this island is SO fab. I mean, I'm basically the queen bee!

Roscoe the black horse was camping at the campsite on Sunday. He just moved out of my Wild World town on Friday, so I guess he took a camping trip before choosing a new place to live. 😛

Roscoe: You live on this island, right? I'm just makin' myself at home!

I did not ask him to move in.

On Monday (yesterday), Sasha sent me a moody painting in the mail. It was real, but I didn’t need it.

I remembered to go out to the hospital to see Joan, and she gave me 30 turnips. While I was there, I also saw Dr. Octavian. I told him I had a runny nose, and he needed me to be more specific. 😂

Octavian: So, I was told your nose in runnin'. Could you go into a little more detail for me, Jeff?
OK, you see this snot pouring out of my nose? Well it’s pouring out of my nose. Aren’t you glad you asked?

I had the option to say it was dripping or running, and I said running (again). He gave me some double nose tissues to stick up my nose, and then he sent me on my way. 😛

At Nook’s Cranny today, Marina told me that she was keeping an eye on a surveillance camera that was up for sale. Actually, it was keeping an eye on her too. 😉

Marina: I've been keeping my eye on a surveillance camera.

But that wasn’t the only camera for sale in the shop. They also had an SLR camera, which cost a hefty 30,000 bells. I didn’t have it in my catalog though, so I bought it.

Back outside, Bones wanted to play a treasure hunt game. He gave me six minutes to find the buried item, but I found it in just 22 seconds!

Treasure found! I found treasure!

My prize was a tiger-face tee dress.

I found Static sitting on the ground near my “Welcome to Forest” cliff/waterfall. But he had such a derpy look his face, it almost made me laugh. 😛

Static: I felt like comin' out and soakin' it in. Seemed as good a spot as any, I'll zap you.

If you haven’t seen my latest video, New Horizons Moments #15 (which I posted on Sunday), here it is:

Hope to see you again soon!
