Visiting Miitomo

On Wednesday, C.J. was in town with a seasports challenge for me. He wanted me to catch three big-time fish in a row, so I caught a sturgeon, a football fish, and a red snapper. I sold those three fish to C.J. for 23k, and then I got another 184k worth of fish out of storage for him.

Yesterday, Beau was camping at the campsite. He’s cute, but I didn’t ask him to stick around.

Beau, at the campsite: It's a buncha fun camping on this island. The air smells good, like food. I wanna bite it, saltlick!

Label was in town, and she wanted to see me in some “everyday clothing.” I had no idea what would qualify as everyday clothing, but logically, it seemed like almost anything would work. Well maybe not a suit of armor or frog suit, but any regular-ish clothes. So I kept the same clothes on (I just took off my hat and put it back on), and she said it was fashion perfection. 😛 She gave me another Labelle skirt.

Today, Static told me that he lost something. I found the lost item (a pouch), and he rewarded me with a fired-up kanji tee.

As I was chopping down some trees on a mysterious island, TZ sent out a message to her best friends that she was opening her gate and anyone was welcome in her town of Miitomo. So I decided to surprise her and drop by for a visit. She joked that it was Friday Night Miitomo instead of Friday Night Forest. 😛

Even though I’ve dreamed of Miitomo before, I think this was my first time visiting “in person.” TZ has updated her town quite a bit since then, so she gave us a tour. Here’s the (headless) angel fountain.

T Zelda: Angel fountain.

And this is her pink castle.

We also checked out her house, and I loved the Baby Brewster! But I think he was crying for pigeon milk.

Baby Brewster!

TZ bought us all some coffee at the Roost, and then she gave us some food and ice cream. Thanks, TZ!

I had a good time in Miitomo tonight. Thanks to TZ and her friends! 🙂

Failed Treasure Hunt

On Sunday morning, Daisy Mae was selling turnips for 100 bells apiece. I bought 1,700 of them.

The shop on Lottie’s island had a bunny garden decoration for sale, at a cost of just 1,500 Poki. I bought it, because I knew just what to do with it! If you’ve been reading this blog for a while, you probably know that I like to put an item related to a villager’s species right outside their house (when possible).

For example, I had a paper tiger outside of Tybalt’s house and an elephant slide outside of Tia’s house. So this bunny is going in front of Sasha’s house.

Agent S asked to visit my house, and I accidentally said yes. D’oh. 😛 I showed her around, and she hopped on my toilet!

Agent S: I'd unwind here all day if I could. HEY! Let's swap houses for a bit!

The glare on her helmet made it look like she only had one eye. 😀

Today is the first day of February, and two Valentine’s Day items are again available through Nook Shopping: The chocolate heart and heart-shaped bouquet. Also, Nook’s Cranny now stocks Festivale items.

Eloise offered a treasure hunt game, and I agreed to play. However, I had a lot of things not in my favor. For one thing, I hadn’t dug up any of today’s fossils yet…so each dig spot I saw only had a ~20% chance of being the treasure. Secondly, my pockets were full. So each fossil I found had to be swapped out, costing me even more time. And thirdly, she only gave me three minutes instead of the usual six.

That was a recipe for disaster, and I ended up losing the game. (But I found all my fossils.) 😂

Eloise: Well, you didn't find the treasure in time, so it looks like I win.

I believe that was the first time I’ve failed the treasure hunt game.

Once I did find the treasure, I spoke with Eloise again and she took the item back. 😮

Eloise: Oh my! The game ended, but you still went to find the treasure?! Well then, I'll take it back now.

Louie was enjoying some coffee at the Roost tonight. He said that his workouts are so intense that a coffee buzz feels like a nap in comparison. 😛

Louie: Yeah, my workouts are so intense that a coffee buzz practically feels like a nap, oh banana.

I recently found a D.I.Y. recipe for a plate armor, which is the suit of armor furniture item (not the wearable outfit). I made several of them, and I placed them outside the entrance(s) to my castle. They look better than the warrior statues I had been using.

My castle guards.

Wisp was in town Sunday night and then again tonight. He gave me a frilly skirt on Sunday, and a spray can tonight. Jolly Redd’s ship was in town tonight, but Redd didn’t have any art that I needed.

Sasha asked me for a new catchphrase, and I told him to say “while I hop.” I’ll keep an eye out for any funny sentences that result from his new way of speaking.

See you next time!

I’m Done Sprouting

Yesterday, I headed over to Lottie’s island again…but just to shop, not to work. While I was there, I confirmed that Paradise Planning now has a functioning workbench upstairs. I’m just not sure why we need one there, since I can’t use the items in my pockets on Lottie’s island anyway.

At Able Sisters, I used a tailors ticket to buy a grape hat. It’s such a ridiculous item that I love it! 😂 I can imagine eight players running around with these on their heads. I bet that would look funny, although I don’t have any plans on using them that way.

Mabel: It's 700 bells--or a tailors ticket--for grape hat. Interested?
Shouldn’t that be “for a grape hat?”

On Kapp’n’s mysterious island, I planted some vegetable seeds/starts just for the Nook Points achievements (as I’ve been doing for weeks). And I’ve now completed the “Sprout Out Loud” goals. I earned 3,000 Nook Miles for planting 200 crops.

Now I’m finally done sprouting.

Tonight, K.K. Slider was hanging out at the plaza for his usual Saturday night performance. He played K.K. Disco for me, Sasha, Apollo, Hornsby, and Eloise.

K.K.: Right on. I'm tuned up and ready to roll. Who's in the mood for a little K.K. Disco?

There was a camper at the campsite, and it was a hideous frog! No, not Jambette…the other one. No, not Gigi. Not Wart Jr. or Croque either. I need to be more specific; there are too many ugly frogs in this series. 😛 It was Diva, and she is not welcome here.

Diva: Hey, do you live out here? You do! What's up, temporary-neighbor!

I hope you’re all enjoying your weekend. See you next time!
