Hopper gave me a free gift tonight, a stadiometer. But in true Hopper fashion, he managed to be a jerk even as he was being nice.
There was a new Message of the Week posted on the bulletin board near town hall. It said that a little learning can’t hurt, except at Pain State.
I found a new house in town, and Bud the lion was inside. He just moved in. I’ve had him in City Folk before; he’s alright, but not one of my favorites.
Crazy Redd was in town, and I bought a solemn painting from him. It turned out to be real, so I donated it to the museum.
I only need seven more works of art! Of course, my museum still needs some fish and bugs too, so I’ve still got a ways to go before the whole thing is complete.
The three apple trees I planted last time haven’t matured yet, but my original apple tree has produced another bunch of apples. I chopped down three more orange trees and planted the apples in those spots. That should give me seven apple trees… Not bad, but I want more.
I made a 15,000 bell mortgage payment at town hall before returning home.
I received Joey’s goodbye letter in the mail tonight. He said he’ll send me a sandwich from his new town! Sounds good! Or at least, it would sound good if he wasn’t lying to me. 🙁
When I visited Curly, he was telling me that he sweats a lot. Odd, because pigs don’t actually sweat that much. That’s why they need to roll in mud to cool off. But basically, he was just asking me for a new shirt to soak up all his sweat. What a lovely image. 😛
Over by town hall, my new tree has produced some fruit!
I shook off the new apples and planted three new apple trees.
Baabara asked me to deliver a letter to Puddles, and I agreed to help out. Even though I didn’t peek at the letter, Puddles showed it to me anyway. Apparently, Baabara’s been shaking it (her butt) to soul (music). 😀
I returned to Baabara to tell her I made the delivery (and to laugh at her), and she rewarded me with a space station. Odd, because Kiki just gave me a space station on Tuesday! Why do all my villagers think I need space stations? Are they trying to say I think the world revolves around me? I’m so offended that I might just moon Baabara! 😛
Anyway, I then rolled up two snowballs and built my first snowman of the season. Unfortunately, he wasn’t perfect. Maybe I should have made the head a bit smaller?
At the museum, Blathers was talking about his fear of bugs again. He said he’s going to talk to his sister Celeste about it. This sounds familiar, so I’m wondering if this is repeated dialogue I’ve seen before, or if it’s something new. I’m not 100% sure.
After he identified three fossils for me, I went downstairs to hear some music. K.K. played K.K. Etude for me. The one time I actually wanted to hear something upbeat, he played me a sad song. 😛
It was nearly 11:00 after the show ended, so I ran over to Nookington’s and sold my three fossils. Right after I exited the shop, the clock struck eleven and the store closed. Whew, close call. I then went over to town hall to make a 25,000 bell mortgage payment before ending my game for the night.
It’s Tuesday, and that means it’s Crazy Redd’s day to visit in Forest. He had a moving painting for sale, and I took a chance and bought it. The gamble paid off, because it was the real deal! I immediately donated it to the museum.
Nookington’s had a big festive tree for sale, so I also bought it.
When I visited Kiki, she offered me a free space station. She said she already had another one, so I guess she didn’t have the space for it.
I then returned home to put my two new items in my house.
Winter has arrived, so snow now covers the ground and trees. This makes it easier to find fossils and other buried items. The dark star-shaped dig marks stand out against the white snow, so I had no problem finding all three fossils today.
When I ran into Big Top, he asked me what was up with Hopper and Rhonda. The two options were “they’re friends” and “lotsa smooching.” I jokingly picked the latter option, and Big Top was grossed out by the thought. He even said it makes him want to barf. Strong words!
In Joey’s house, I found that the orange duck is moving out of town. I tried just once to get him to change his mind, but that wasn’t enough. I didn’t want to keep trying, so I just let him go.
The apple tree I planted last time is alive and growing, but it hasn’t yielded any apples yet. That should change by next time.
On the bulletin board, this week’s Message of the Week says that it takes strength to fail.
Baabara was out and about, and being as weird as ever. She told me today was her anniversary with fried catfish.
After making a 25,000 bell mortgage payment at town hall, I wrapped up my game for the night. See you next time!
