Rosie’s Pic

Last night, I received Baabara’s goodbye letter in the mail. And I can tell that she really wrote it herself, because it’s all about her. 😛

I'm outta here, Jeff! I'm moving, and it's sad. But the IMPORTANT thing is it's all about me. 'Cause I'm moving. And it's sad. Later! -From. Baabara

I found a note in a bottle on the beach, and it was from a “working stiff” who had to work 7.5 hours of overtime on Christmas Eve. Ouch, that’s rough.

Work Notes: December 24th. Started work: 07:45 a.m. Got home: 12:00 a.m. Overtime: 7 h. 30 min. -A Working Stiff
Maybe this was from one of Santa’s elves.

I ran into Shrunk, but I didn’t ask him for any new emotions this time. I don’t even use the emotions I have. They’re pretty pointless without online play.

Shrunk: We'll just have to add amnesia to the list of issues you have, I suppose.

When I ran into Margie, she asked me what type of movies she would be in, if she was a film star. I’ve encountered this bit of dialogue several times before, and they always seem to get upset with either answer (action or romantic comedy). So I left the slider right in the middle, and she was pleased with that answer. She rewarded me with her favorite thing ever: a beige box.

Margie: I want you to have this, my favorite thing ever: a beige box!

Today, Margie was sick; I guess she just didn’t feel right without her favorite thing ever. 😛 But I gave her some medicine, so hopefully she’ll start to feel better soon.

Margie takes her medicine in ACWW.

Crazy Redd was in town with a dainty painting. I have no use for that one, so I left his tent without buying anything.

After making my rounds, I did some fishing and bug-catching. Unfortunately, I wasn’t catching anything new and I was feeling tired and disappointed. So I decided to make one last trip around town. And on that last trip, my luck changed. I caught my first arowana!

I caught an arowana! It's golden and beautiful!

Only three more fish to go! On my way over to the museum to donate the arowana, Rosie pinged me. She gave me her picture!

Rosie: Here, me-yowza! It's a picture! Of ME! Isn't it just the cutest EVER?!

After donating the arowna, I went home to take a look at the picture. I put it in my upstairs room with my nine other villager pics. The quote on the back says “To the president of the Rosie Fan Club.”

My new picture of Rosie in Animal Crossing: Wild World.

It’s a good thing I made that last trip around town!

Baa Bye!

Tonight, I put up my latest Animal Crossing: Wild World video, Ep. 15. It features highlights from my town over the past two months or so. Here is the video:

The video left off with me making the donation to Boondox last week. Today, I received a letter in response.

Dear Jeff, Thanks to your donation, my sister enjoyed the wedding of her dreams! -From Boondox
Boondox has a sister?

A red feather was attached to the letter, so I put it in my hair.

Jeff wears a red feather in Animal Crossing: Wild World.
Wahoo!

Crazy Redd was in town, and he had a famous painting for sale. That’s one that I still need, so I bought it. Unfortunately, Blathers informed me that it was a fake.

When I visited Baabara, she scolded me for barging into her house. She said I should have offered her a proper greeting. There’s a problem with her suggestion, though: It’s impossible. There is no other way to enter a house in this game.

Baabara: It's common courtesy to offer a proper greeting. Were you raised in a barn?
Were *you*? Baa baa baa!

As you can tell in that picture, she had all her furniture packed up in boxes. I’m letting that hag move out. Good riddance. Baa bye! Don’t get your scraggly wool caught in the door on your way out!

If you’re wondering what life in Forest will be like without a villain, don’t worry. I still have Rocco in town. Lucky me.

On a brighter note, Margie (a nice villager) asked me for a fossil. I was happy to help her out, so I gave her a seismo tail. She thanked me, and then she gave me a Persian rug in return.

Margie: Holy cow! Wow, thank you! I've wanted this for a real long time, tootie!

I shot down another balloon present tonight, and I was a bit horrified when I saw what it was.

A space station.

OMG, I shot down the space station! Oops! 😛 I would have put it in my space room, but I already had a space station there.

After making my rounds, I did some fishing and bug-catching. I made some decent catches to sell, including several red snappers, another ocean sunfish, a birdwing butterfly, an emperor butterfly, and a giant snakehead. But I didn’t find anything new for the museum. Maybe by next time!

Update: Oh, one thing I keep forgetting to mention. The pear I planted a couple weeks ago is doing well. So Forest now has a pear tree. I don’t plan on making any more of them, since I haven’t been harvesting fruit much any more, but it’s good to have a little variety varie-tree in town.

The pear tree in Forest. How exciting.

My First Gar

Saturday was La-Di-Day, and my newest neighbor Jeremiah croaked out a new song for me. I chose it as my new town tune.

Jeremiah sings a song for La-Di-Day.

Today, Crazy Redd was in town. He had a quaint painting for sale, but I didn’t need that one.

I did some bug-hunting and fishing, but more fishing. It was raining, so many of the normal bugs weren’t out. I made a number of valuable catches: Two atlas beetles (8,000 bells each), a barred knifejaw (5,000 bells), two red snappers (3,000 bells each), and a hammerhead shark (8,000 bells).

But my best catch of all was something that I had no intentions of selling: I caught my very first gar! Of course, I donated it to the museum. Just four more fish (and four bugs) to go!

I caught a gar! ...Nose like a GARden hose!

Baabara asked me to buy her Spanish shirt for 420 bells. I agreed to buy it, and as she handed it over, she told me she thought it was tacky.

Baabara: Thanks! I've been wanting to get rid of my tacky Spanish shirt!

It wasn’t the shirt I was thinking it was, so I didn’t keep it on. Oh well, at least it didn’t cost me much.

After selling my catches, I had enough money to make a 300,000 bell donation to Boondox. Phyllis thanked me for my generous donation, and she told me they can now afford rouge to highlight their cheekbones. I guess they can’t thank me face-to-face.

Phyllis: The lovely ladies of Boondox thank you for your generous d
D…onation, that is.

Phyllis: Now, instead of dirt, they can afford rouge to highlight their cheekbones.

Even though Crazy Redd didn’t cooperate, it was still a pretty successful night.

I’ve just posted a new Animal Crossing video featuring my favorite villagers for each letter of the alphabet. Only two of the clips are from Wild World, but I think any Animal Crossing fan can relate to this. I hope you enjoy it!
