Blue, Achoo, & A Stinky Dude

Shortly after starting up my game tonight, I ran into Curly. He asked me to make a delivery to Big Top, and I agreed to help out. I found Big Top just a few steps away; I gave him the present, which turned out to be a burglar’s shirt! He loved it…and now I’m going to have start locking my door.

Big Top: ...Oh, wow! A burglar's shirt! I've always wanted one!

When I returned to Curly, he told me to hold my hand out, and he dropped a concrete wall into my open hand. Ow.

Crazy Redd had a basic painting for sale, but basically, I didn’t need it.

Rosie reminded me of something from last week that I didn’t mention in the blog. She had asked to visit my house, and I said yes (in the hopes that she would come right away). But no, she insisted on a later time, and I didn’t plan on playing that long…since it was already quite late to begin with. There was no way to cancel, so I just told her a phony time to meet.

So tonight, she was not happy that I didn’t meet up with her. She asked if I went on a date or something instead.

Rosie: What happened? Did you go on a DATE or something, silly?

She said if that was the case (which it wasn’t), I should have invited her too. Except she didn’t have anyone to go with, except maybe “stupid old” Curly. Yeah, I’m sure calling him stupid and old would convince him.

Rosie: But I don't have anyone to ask, silly... Except stupid old Curly...

The whole situation left her feeling blue.

Rosie: Even the peppiest of people feel blue sometimes. It's a sad fact of life.

I went back outside, and Jeremiah promptly sneezed on me (after telling me he wanted to smell all the flowers).

Jeremiah: Hah-CHOO!!! Oh, dude! I sneezed all over you! I'm sorry! It wasn't on purpose!

When I went by his house, I think I saw the reason he was talking about flowers. He apparently planted a bunch of them around his house! These were not here last week.

I ran into Gaston, and he asked if he smelled funky. I said yes, and he said it was the scent of a dude. He seemed pretty proud of his stench.

Gaston: And when you get a good stink on, you are at one with the cosmos!

He then gave me a crewel shirt, as if I answered his question correctly. 😀

Kiki asked me to deliver a letter to Rosie, and I told her I was up to the challenge. Rosie enjoyed the letter, and she even showed it to me.

Hi there, Rosie, We just saw each other but how are you doing? When you feel sad, rock out to metal! I feel chatty! -Kiki

Kiki gave me a regal table for completing the task.

Mad Scientist Gaston

Crazy Redd was in town today, and he had a worthy painting for sale. I didn’t need it. But you may notice the item next to it also looks like a work of art if you’ve played New Leaf. The spaceman is known as the ancient statue in New Leaf, and it can be donated to the museum. But in Wild World, it’s just a piece of furniture.

Redd: Ah! I see you've noticed the worthy painting! That's a very nice item!

When I ran into Curly outside, he asked which of his bulging, burly muscles I thought were his favorites. Umm, this is how awkward conversations start.

Curly: Which of my many bulging, burly muscles do you think are my absolute favorites?

I guessed his arms, and he said I was wrong because they’re all his favorites.

Curly: WRONG! Man, too bad! The correct answer was... Each and every one of 'em!

He conceded that it wasn’t a fair question, so he gave me a prize: a rose shirt. Not the best prize, but that reminded me that I had to water all of Curly’s wilted flowers in his garden! It’s bad enough that I have to water my own, but I ended up watering his as well. Of course I’m going to steal any hybrids that pop up, but at least I’m helping. 😛

Jeremiah was all packed up and ready to move out of town, but that was not acceptable. I got him to reconsider. Or at least, I think I did…

Jeremiah: Is that so? Well, if that's how you're going to react, I'll sleep on it for a while.

I got to see inside of Gaston’s house, and it’s a bit creepy. Not only does he have some mad scientist furniture, but he also has K.K. Dirge playing. And then of course, there’s also that mustache…

Bree informed me that she was giving me a new nickname: Petite J. Ugh. Even though I didn’t do anything mean to her for coming up with that, karma caught up to her a few minutes later. She walked into the random pitfall of the day!

Getting Gaston

Tonight, Bree told me that she hadn’t been clothes shopping in a long time. She suggested that someone should just give her some.

Bree: If only someone would just give me some.
It’s not going to be me.

The latest Message of the Week on the bulletin board said to call the firefighters before the house burns down! Was someone trying to cook?

*Message of the Week* Call the firefighters. Before the house burns.

It got me wondering if any future Animal Crossing games would ever have firefighters. While it’s unlikely that Nintendo would put destructive fires in the game, it would be cute to have a firehouse with a firefighter or two (likely dalmatians) that would occasionally rescue a cat up a tree or something.

There was a new house in town, with a new villager inside. It was Gaston the yellow bunny with the big, bushy mustache.

Gaston: Oh, hey, we haven't met yet, have we? My name is Gaston.

I’m quite familiar with Gaston, even though I rarely (if ever) seem to get him in any of my towns. But I do have a Mii version of him on my Tomodachi Life island, as some of you may know from my Tomodachi Life Blog.

Crazy Redd was in town, but the only work of art he had today was a flowery painting. And I didn’t need that one. It feels like it’s going to take me forever to get the last couple paintings I need.
