No Longer Perfect

Today was my first time playing in over a week, and as you might expect, most of my flowers were gone or wilted. With New Horizons here now, I’m not going to bother maintaining what few flowers I have left in Wild World.

I’ve been wearing the King Tut mask wig lately, and since it’s cursed, I will sometimes fall on my face when running.

Jeff, wearing a King Tut wig,

Lyle will send insurance payments after you fall (but how does he know?), although 100 bells isn’t exactly a sum worth getting excited over. 😛

I ran into Goldie outside, and she said I was looking good today. Considering this “wig” completely covers my face and head, how would she know how I look? Unless she thinks that is my face! And in that case, wouldn’t she know that’s not how I normally look? Oh well, maybe I shouldn’t get all wrapped up in questions like this.

Goldie: Heya, bunny. You're looking good today, meooo-OH!

I found Kabuki trying to move out of town today. Even though he’s a big grump, and he’s not always very pleasant, I wasn’t ready to say goodbye to him just yet. So I got him to reconsider.

Kabuki: Thanks for sticking with me. It's nice to be wanted. Maybe I'll reconsider...

I sold my daily fossils (well, at least the two that I found) and I gathered and sold some fruit as well. When my pockets reached 100k, I deposited that amount into my bank account. My balance is currently half a million bells, and once it reaches a million, I’ll make another donation to Boondox. But that might be a while now that I’m back to playing just once a week.

Out of curiosity, I checked on my town status. With most of my flowers gone, my status is no longer perfect. But the curious part is that Pelly didn’t say I needed more greenery. Instead, she said I have too many trees!

Pelly: Hm, I'll bet the problem is that there are too many trees...

The number of trees in my town has not changed in months. But having an abundance of flowers can offset other flaws, and that’s apparently what happened here. Now that my flower numbers are reduced significantly, they no longer offset the flaw I didn’t know I had–too many trees.

Floor Giving Out?

Last Thursday, Nookington’s had a moon for sale as the spotlight product. I bought it for my space room.

Timmy: You have a keen eye! That's our spotlight product...the moon!

I continued putting hybrid flowers into my unused room, until I ran into a bit of a problem. Once I had 24 flowers on the floor, I was unable to put a 25th flower down. I was warned that the floor was going to give out!

If you put anything else down, your floor is going to give out!

How poorly is this house made if it can’t support the weight of 25 flowers? And yet my space room with a lunar lander, a space station, and the moon, is just fine?

Maybe the space stuff is just weightless. 😉

Saharah was in town, so I helped her out by making deliveries to Tom Nook, and then Mabel. While I was in Able Sisters, I saw a King Tut wig for sale. Yes, it’s called a wig in Wild World, not a mask.

Mabel: Ohh, yes, you're looking at a King Tut wig. The price is 12,000 bells.

Even though it’s expensive, I decided to buy it and put it on.

I returned to Saharah, and I was surprised when she asked me to make a delivery to Pelly as well. That’s the first time she’s had three deliveries for me to make! But I took the wallpaper over to town hall, and then returned to Saharah. For completing the deliveries, she offered me a desert vista or a tropical floor; I chose the latter.

Saharah: Do you want a desert vista or a tropical floor?

Today, Margie was talking about glasses, and the fact that they get foggy in the shower.

Margie: The problem is they get foggy in the shower! Ah, how we suffer for fashion!

As I was making my rounds, I saw Goldie fall into a pitfall! Oh no!

Goldie falls into a pitfall in ACWW.
And no, I didn’t put it there. It was the daily random pitfall.

If you haven’t seen my latest Wild World video episode, here it is. It covers events in Forest from February 27th through March 8th.

It may be the last episode for a while, because I’m going to be very busy with New Horizons starting on Friday. See you next time! 🙂

Love Letter Response

Mathilda was walking around in the rain last Wednesday, holding a net. But she didn’t seem to know why!

Mathilda: Sometimes I forget who I am and what I'm doing.

But more interestingly, she blamed her confusion on her ex!

Mathilda: But this, too, is my ex's fault, wee baby.

Gracie was in town, and I earned another fashionista badge. After paying 5,000 bells for an outfit, she supplied me with a hot spring shirt and triangle shades.

Gracie, after giving Jeff triangle shades: Ready...and GO!

Goldie thanked me for the medicine I had been taking her, and she gave me an ornate wall. I’m just glad she’s feeling better now.

On Friday, Buck’s replacement moved in: Antonio the anteater. I had him in City Folk before, back when I also had Bob. In fact, they lived right next door to each other. So I’m glad to see him again.

Antonio: I was super busy all day today, so I'm doing my workout now.

On Sunday, Antonio asked me if I blew off his training regimen. I said no, and he called me a liar!

Antonio: LIAR! You LIE, Jeff! And lying is almost as bad as getting chubbed out!
Maybe I spoke too soon about being glad to have him in town.

I finally recorded my first Wild World town tour. With New Horizons coming out next week, I knew I wouldn’t be playing roughly five times a week for much longer. So before my flowers die (or get put into storage), I wanted to record the tour while my town still looked relatively nice. Here is the video if you’d like to see it.

On Monday, I started putting some of my hybrids into my house. Since I have a room that’s been sitting mostly empty, I figured it was a good place to put flowers.

Pascal was in town, and he told me that seashells are like banana peels to otters. He gave me a ship compass before jumping into the ocean.

Pascal: To an otter, shells are kind of like banana peels, maaannn.
Maybe they could be an obstacle in an underwater level of Mario Kart.

If you were reading this blog last year, you may remember a note in a bottle I found last July. It was a love letter from Joanna to Lucio. Well, today, I found one from Lucio to Joanna!

Note in a bottle: My beloved Joanna, I've sent you so many letters. When am I gonna get one back?! I can't sleep thinking about it... -Your Lucio
