Today, I received a letter in the mail confirming that I won the Bug-Off with my 247-mm birdwing butterfly yesterday! Yay!
My prize was a bug trophy, and I decided to put it in my mush room.
Back outside, I dug up my red turnip. From what I understand, they don’t need to be full-grown for the golden axe trading sequence. So it’s better to just get it out of the ground now so I don’t risk forgetting a day and letting it shrivel up and die.
Big Top told me of a crazy rumor that used to be floating around. According to the rumor, Tom Nook was allegedly just a guy in a raccoon suit!
He said that the zipper must’ve been well hidden. But Big Top clearly didn’t think there was any truth to the rumor.
Out of nowhere, Antonio pinged me and gave me his photo!
I took it to the upstairs room of my house and displayed with my other villager pics. Antonio’s favorite quote is “Always go for the burn.” Here’s a look at all my current pics.
I can now feel free to let Antonio move out the next time he asks. Even though I liked him in City Folk, I didn’t care for him as much in Wild World.
A few other quick notes about today:
- Benedict has not moved out yet; he’s still packed up in boxes.
- I gave Margie some medicine for her cold.
- Nook’s turnip price was in the 70s, so I didn’t sell any turnips.
See you all next time!
I believe here it’s just the one trophy per contest- i.e. no bronze, silver, and gold ones like in newer games. It’s been so long since I’ve played this game I don’t remember.
