Peanut Patrol, Point 1 Pattern

On Wednesday, I found a note in a bottle on a beach. It was a letter from a husband to his wife, expressing his appreciation for her. It’s a nice gesture, but why did he throw it into the ocean instead of giving it to her?

To my beloved wife, I'm not the best at expressing myself, but I appreciate you more than words can say. Thanks. -Your loving husband

“Honey, I have something important to tell you. I wrote it in a note and threw it into the water. Start swimming now, and you just might find it someday!”

When I ran into Peanut, she informed me that she is the town’s heroine!

Peanut: Few know it, but this town's true heroine is...ME!

She said she was on patrol, watching over Forest’s peace.

Peanut: Yeah, I totally watch over Forest's peace! And now you know, nutty!

I think she was just taking a walk. But okay, Peanut. If you say so.

Yesterday, Eloise was all packed up to move out of town (just nine days after moving in)! But unlike Maelle earlier this month, she was not allowed to leave. She needs to stick around for a while!

Wendell was in town today, and he was as hungry as ever.

Wendell: Suh-so hungry... Must eat something...

As I was speaking to him, a shooting star flew by overhead (which I couldn’t wish on). But I gave Wendell a salmon I caught, and he gave me a “Point 1 pattern.” That’s one that I haven’t seen before!

The Point 1 pattern in Animal Crossing: Wild World (ACWW) for Nintendo DS.

Butch told me that Goose’s birthday is coming up on October 4th, which is next Tuesday. Butch told me I should stop by and say “happy birthday” for once. 😂 I’m not sure what he’s upset about; I didn’t miss his birthday or anything (that’s coming up in November).

Butch: Maybe you should stop by and say happy birthday for once, bark bark!

Eloise was sick with a cold today, so I gave her some medicine. Get well soon!

I emptied out all of the change in my pockets and put it into the bank. This is the last day of the month, so I want to maximize my bank account interest. 💰

The Acorn Festival starts next week, and I’ll be back with another entry then! 🙂

Eloise Moves In

On Wednesday (September 21st), Maelle’s replacement moved in: It’s Eloise the yellow elephant! She’s a big improvement over Maelle, if you ask me.

Eloise: Tee hee! It's nice to meet you! I'm Eloise, and I love to walk around!

I’ve now had Eloise in four of the five main Animal Crossing games: In all games except New Leaf.

Interestingly enough, Eloise has the same wallpaper as Peanut…who stepped in some black tea she spilled. 😛

Peanut: Gaaack! I just stepped in the black tea I spilled yesterday!
Where’s Moppina when you need her?

Today, I wasn’t paying attention to the time when I heard a UFO flying by! Fortunately, it was flying from west to east, and I happened to be in the western part of town when I noticed it. So I had time to get my slingshot out, catch up to the UFO, and shoot it down!

Gulliver: A fiery meteor struck my trusty spacecraft, sending me spiraling to the ground!
Yes, a meteor that flew up from the ground. Of course.

After I retrieved Gulliver’s five UFO parts, he rewarded me with a Mouth of Truth. That’s the same thing he gave me last time (in July), but I decided to keep this one too; I put it in storage for now.

Goose asked to have a competition to see who could catch a bell cricket first. Since they’re pretty common, I was up to the challenge. I caught one and returned it to Goose for an easy win.

Goose: This...is for that sweet bell cricket! Rock on, nutty!

He rewarded me with a broken post. That’s the same item that Bones gave me last week. Are they going around breaking fences and pretending the broken parts are good gifts to give out? 🤔

Salty Ocean Food

On Wednesday, I received Maelle’s goodbye letter in the mail. I can’t say I’ll miss the ugly duckling.

Au revoir, Jeff! I'm leaving town! I wanted it to be a big mystery, but I'm actually just bored. See ya. I'm out! -From, Maelle

I found Pascal in town, so I listened to his words of his wisdom: He said that living in the ocean means he never has to salt his food. 😛

Pascal: Living in the ocean means never having to salt your food, man.

He gave me some sea view wallpaper, jumped into the ocean, and swam away.

Butch asked for a new catchphrase to replace “woowoo,” which he learned from Deena. I told him to say “bark bark” instead.

Butch: ...Bark bark! Isn't that a little too cheerful for me?

Wolfgang was sick with a cold, so I gave him some medicine yesterday and then again today.

As I was talking to Peanut tonight, a shooting star flew overhead. Unfortunately, you can’t make a wish during a conversation, so I was out of luck. And no other shooting stars flew by during my session. Shoot.

Saharah was in town, and she asked me to make deliveries to Tom Nook and Phyllis.

Saharah: You will take it to Tom Nook, yes? Many thanks to you, friend!

When I was done, Saharah offered me a ringside seating or a lunar surface. Since I knew for sure that I already had a lunar surface, I asked for the ringside seating.

I caught a hammerhead shark in the ocean, and I think that was my third one in September alone! I don’t know why I’m seeing so many lately when I didn’t spot that many in the summer, but I’ll take it. 😛

Maelle’s replacement has not moved in yet, but I’ll be sure to find out who it is next week. Hope to see you then!
