Bed Sale

Yesterday, Saharah was in town…and I was determined not to neglect her this time around like I did last time. 😛 So I started out by delivering some wallpaper to Mabel. But while I was in Able Sisters, I saw that they were selling a pirate’s hat and a hockey mask. I know it’s not Halloween or anything, but I decided to buy them both anyway. 😆

Mabel: Wow! You are looking really good! I mean it!

I also stopped at Beddington’s…I mean Nookington’s. They had three beds on sale today: a basic yellow bed, a basic blue bed, and a cabin bed!

Three beds for sale at Nookington's.

When I returned to Saharah, she asked me to deliver some wallpaper to Pelly, and then some carpeting to Tom Nook. Once I was done, Saharah offered me a blue tarp or a daisy meadow.

Saharah: Do you want a blue tarp or a daisy meadow?

Since I’ve already got the daisy meadow from her before, I chose the blue tarp this time.

I ran into Goose outside, and he was criticizing the falling snow, saying it was lazy…and disgusting.

Goose: Snow is so lazy! It's disgusting! Look at it, loafin' around like that!

But then he really got offensive, by saying that the lazy snow reminds him of me! 😮

Goose: Kinda reminds me of you, nutty!

Don’t mess with me when I’m wearing this mask, Mr. Chicken. I may slice you up and serve you for dinner!

When I ran into Wolfgang, he was bragging about how stinky he was today! He said it was because he’s been eating liver and onions.

Wolfgang: Whaaa?! But I've been snacking on liver and onions all day, nutty!

Butch is still sick this week, so I gave him some more medicine yesterday, and then again today. Get well soon, doggo!

The year is almost over, and I posted a video taking a look at my 2022 in all five main Animal Crossing games. Please give it a watch if you’re so inclined:

Have a safe and happy new year, everyone! 🥂

Respectful of Otters

Wendell was in town yesterday, so I caught a fish to give him. It was a pond smelt, and he appreciated it. He rewarded me with a pattern called “Overhead view C.” That’s an odd name, and this is what it looks like:

The overhead view C pattern from Wendell.

It’s one part of a four-part design, which seems to be of the Nazca Lines hummingbird in Peru. This might be a cool one to collect all four pieces of (like I once collected the crop circle designs in City Folk).

Pascal was in town today, and he told me to always be respectful of otters. Not “others,” but otters. 😆

Pascal: Always be respectful of otters, maaannn.

Too bad I’m seeing this one just a bit too late to include it in my recent video of Pascal quotes. 😛 But Pascal gave me a keg before he jumped into the ocean, and I put the keg in storage for now.

Bob was talking about leaving footprints on the beach…

Bob: If you run across the sand twice before a wave hits the shore,

And he said that if you leave two sets of footprints, it’s proof that you’ve met your true love?

Bob: it's like you've met your true love! And the two sets of prints prove it!

That makes no sense at all to me, but Bob thought it was romantic. 😆

Butch is the latest villager to come down with a cold, so I gave him some medicine yesterday and again today.

Butch: Phew ... I'm not quite so delirious now, nutty. Thank ya, sunshine!

Other than Bones, my newer villagers haven’t been giving me their photos lately. It’s probably because they all want to have fish-catching competitions, and I decline those requests at least 90% of the time. I’ll make deliveries, but I really hate these fish competitions. 😛

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, everyone! I’ll be back with another entry next week. 🎄

Forgotten Camel

Last night, Saharah was in town, and she wanted help with her deliveries.

Saharah: All my addresses...gone! My deliveries! My customers! What is a camel to do?!

However, it was already about 10:55 p.m., and the shops close at 11:00. So I knew I had to hurry. The first delivery was some carpeting for Mabel. I delivered it, and then returned to Saharah. The next package was for Tom Nook, and I took it over to him at 10:59. I just barely made it!

Tom Nook: Oh! This is the carpet I had ordered from Saharah! What a surprise, hm?

I was over the hump, and I was mentally celebrating beating the deadline at that point. Because I knew if there even was a third delivery, it would be for Blathers or one of the sisters at town hall…and those locations don’t close. So I just continued on with my normal tasks.

However, “continuing on” has its risks. Namely, forgetting to return to Saharah for my prize (or third delivery) at all. And that is exactly what happened. I forgot all about it and wrapped up my game. Hours later, I did remember, and I started up the game. But it was too late. Saharah was gone. Major oof.

Tonight, Nookington’s had a spotlight product on sale. But the reality fell short of my expectations: It was just a garden gnome.

Timmy: You have a keen eye! That's our spotlight product...the garden gnome!
I want to throw rocks at it.

Wolfgang has still been sick this week, so I gave him more medicine Wednesday and Thursday. He was finally over his cold today, and he rewarded me with some charcoal tile.

Wolfgang: Here, lemme give you charcoal tile, nutty.
You’re giving me coal? Was I naughty, Santa?

Eloise asked me for a new greeting tonight. After some thought (but clearly not very much), I told her to say “I’m a yellephant.” 😛

Eloise: I'm a yellephant, huh? Are you sure about that?
I’m colorblind, so no, I’m not sure. 😉

If you haven’t seen my latest videos, I have two that heavily feature Pascal. The first is a look at the complete golden axe trading sequence in Wild World:

And yesterday, I posted this relaxing video showing many of Pascal’s best quotes. Some are from Wild World, but a lot are from the newer games as well. I hope you’ll check this out too.
