250k HRA

On Wednesday, I received this week’s HRA score, and I have topped 250,000 HRA points for the first time! My score was 252,524 to be exact.

Jeff, your room gets 252,524 points! Stylish! Elegant! SASSY! No matter where you look, this is a PERFECT room!!! -Happy Room Academy

The boost in my score was because of the addition of the two new villager photos I received last week.

Wolfgang asked if I would like a golden stamp, if there was such a thing. I knew this bit of dialogue was a trap, so I said no. He said I’m a lot more honest than I look…and I’m not sure if that’s a good thing or a bad thing. 😉

Wolfgang: You know, you're a lot more honest than you look.

Yesterday, Bob asked me for a new catchphrase to replace “nutty.” That was Peanut’s catchphrase that has spread around to everyone, so I’m trying to eradicate it now. I told Bob to say “in a jar.” I know it’s not my best work, but I’ll take anything over “nutty” right now.

Bob: It's just like the perfect apple, in a jar. Mmmm. Apples.

Today, Peanut told me that Bones and Eloise are one of 2023’s biggest couples, according to Ms. Nintendique magazine!

Peanut: They're one of 2023's biggest couples, according to Ms. Nintendique, right?

I’m surprised to hear that two Forest residents have been recognized nationally. 😉 But Peanut threw some shade, adding that “biggest” doesn’t necessarily mean “best.” 😛

Peanut: Well, lemme tell you, biggest doesn't always mean the best, nutty.

To add injury to insult, Bones was sick with a cold today. But I gave him some medicine I had with me. Get well soon, Bones!

Mitzi has been asking me for green furniture lately, so I bought a weeping fig at Nookington’s for her. She seemed to like it, and she rewarded me with some steel flooring.

Mitzi: A deal's a deal. Here's your steel flooring. Enjoy, nutty!

See you all next week with more!

Two New Photos

My peach from last week has now become my first peach tree. 🍑

My first peach tree in Animal Crossing: Wild World.

On Wednesday, Eloise surprised me by giving me her picture!

Eloise: Let's start some! OK, what you gotta do is take this picture of me. Cute, huh?

I took it home and displayed it in my Gulliver room. It’s the only room that isn’t at maximum capacity. Her favorite quote on the back is “You’ll want to display this prominently.” 😆

Yesterday, Mom sent this funny letter about winning raffles. Apparently her secret to winning is not caring at all. 😛

Dear Jeff, When asked the secret to winning raffles, I like to mix it up by saying things like, utter disintrest. -Love, Mom

Yesterday, Wolfgang became the latest villager to give me a picture!

Wolfgang: Here... This is, uh, my picture, nutty. Here's hoping you like it.

I took it home and put it next to Eloise’s pic. Wolfgang’s favorite quote is “I could eat you for breakfast, short stack!”

I knew I was feeling like some of these photos were overdue, and I still need some more. But it sure is nice to get two of them in two days. 🙂

Today, Bob was packed up and ready to move out of town! However, I was not about to let that happen. I told him to stay, and he agreed to reconsider after just one attempt. I think he knows he can’t really leave. 😉

Bob: Wow. I wasn't expecting that response... Maybe I'll think it over once more.

First Peach

Yesterday, Peanut was telling me about La-Di-Day, which is coming up on Saturday. But she was using some alliteration, repeating the “P” sound to make a particularly powerful proclamation. 😉

Peanut: As Forest's reigning pop princess, people expect perky perfection.

Nookington’s had a spotlight product, a blue dresser. I didn’t have that one in my catalog, so I bought it for 1,680 bells.

Tommy: You have a keen eye! That's our spotlight product...the blue dresser!

When I visited Butch, he asked me if he was more of a bell pepper or chili pepper. I moved the slider slightly towards chili pepper, and Butch laughed at how wrong I was.

Butch: Chili Pepper Butch... Oh, man... It's almost funny how wrong you always are!
I disagree.

Today, Mom sent me a letter with a foreign fruit attached: It was a peach!

Dear Jeff, Whenever I eat a piece of fruit, I think of you. That crunchy sound you made with every bite. I miss your crunch. -Mom

That was my first peach, so I chopped down an orange tree near my house and buried the peach in the same spot. Once it grows, I will have all of the fruits except cherries.

Planting my first peach.

I spoke with Bob near town hall, and he told me that he recently saw a seagull wearing a spacesuit! That’s Gulliver, of course. I’m just surprised that he’s talking about Gulliver when it’s not a UFO day (Dr. Shrunk was in town instead).

Bob: I wonder if he's just some weird dude who likes to pretend he's an astronaut?

I didn’t even bother speaking with Dr. Shrunk this time. He’s not one of my favorite visitors.

I’ll see you all next week with another entry! 🙂
