Unfortunately, I have to start off this entry with a bit of bad news. My capture device has died after 10.5 years of service, so I am currently unable to record footage. That means this week’s entry will not have any screenshots.
Anyway, I started up the game tonight, knowing I’d be unable to record. So I walk into Nookington’s, and he has a spotlight product today. I walk over to it, and see none other than the Mona Lisa! The famous painting! The last item I need for my museum, that I’ve been waiting to find for years…and it shows up on the very first day I’ve played without the ability to record.
As much as I’d like to have a screenshot in the blog and a clip in a future video, I’m not going to risk having to wait another seven years (or longer). I bought the painting, for a very reasonable price of just 1,568 bells. But in an attempt to have something to show for my efforts, I’m not going to donate it to the museum just yet. I’ll do that once I’m able to record again.
Anyway, Mitzi was still sick with a cold tonight, so I gave her some more medicine.
Dotty pinged me, and she told me that I looked poor. She then asked if I’d be her best friend if she gave me one bell. 🙄 What a joke. You’d need at least a thousand bells for that. 😛
Eloise asked me to compete to see who could catch a moth first. I agreed, but it’s pointless; it’s raining outside, so we’re not going to find any moths. Yet I’m sure she would magically find one after a while anyway, since the villagers cheat at these things. 😆
I posted my latest Wild World episode today, featuring highlights from June 1st through July 1st. Check it out if you’re interested!
Anyway, I’m in the process of looking for a new capture device. But I’m not sure if I’ll have one by next week or not. But hopefully soon, I’ll be able to donate that painting. 🙂
I’ll also be glad that I don’t have to obsess over shooting stars any more. I would typically empty my hands after every time I used a tool, just so I didn’t miss the chance to wish on any shooting stars. Now that I have the painting I need, I don’t need to rely on Wishy.
See you next week!
