On Thursday, I got my monthly bank statement from the postal division at town hall. I earned 54,800 bells of interest this month.
I listened in on a villager conversation, and Drift and Peanut were discussing their exercise routines. Peanut said that she does sit-ups every morning, but isn’t getting results. So Drift suggested some rump-burners and ab-squeezers.
Peanut wasn’t familiar with those exercises, so she asked Drift how they’re done. He explained the process…
But Peanut didn’t like the sound of doing those things in public.
To be fair though, Drift never said they had to be done in public. But Peanut was too hung up on the mental image of Drift’s raised rump.
They both stormed off mad, and I somehow walked into another wild conversation immediately. Eloise was telling Octavian that some guy gave her a ring (meaning an engagement ring), but it didn’t fit on her finger! Octavian said he didn’t want to hear about sappy love talk, and Eloise got really mad. 😛
Of course, Octavian wasn’t happy about being called a “weasel boy.”
What a wild couple of conversations I witnessed!
At town hall, my savings account balance reached 11 million bells.
Yesterday, Octavian wanted to have a competition to see who could catch a dab first. I wasn’t interested, especially after he called me a wimp. 😛
Today, I got this cute letter from Mom in the mail. I miss these seasonal letters from Mom (and occasionally Dad); they added so much charm to the older games! Edit: Yes, the newer games have letters from Mom too, but they seem like they only exist to distribute the “Mom” items. They don’t feel as heartfelt or genuine, in my opinion at least.
Dotty was stuck in a crossword puzzle she was working on, and she asked for my help. I told her the word was “crumble,” and that was apparently correct.
To thank me, she gave me a bunny shirt. I decided to put it on right away.
Moments later, I spotted a balloon present! That’s a rarity for me, since they don’t come later in the day when I usually play. But unfortunately, I wasn’t able to get my slingshot out quick enough to shoot it down before it flew out of town.
The flea market was held today, and I decided to be nice and support my villagers for a change. So I bought an outdoor bath from Tank for 2,140 bells, and a lawn chair from Caroline for 300 bells.
I was going to buy a bug from Eloise, but she wasn’t selling any of her three insects. Bones was also home, but he was trying to move out. I quickly made him reconsider.
