Octavian’s Girlfriends

Octavian was talking about Drift and Peanut being pretty close yesterday, when he randomly mentioned his dating history.

I guess he viewed that as having some expertise on the subject. So, his professional opinion was that Drift and Peanut are cemented at the hip.

Eloise asked me to deliver a letter to Caroline for her, and I agreed to help out. Caroline actually showed me the letter, which was about sponge cake.

Eloise rewarded me with a kiddie bureau for making the delivery.

Drift wanted to have a competition to see who could catch a tiger butterfly first. I declined his request (initially), but I still kept my eyes open for that bug. Villagers will usually repeat these requests, so my new strategy is to decline it the first time, and then see if I can catch the bug/fish anyway. If and when I do, I can return to them, let them ask me again, and BAM! Easy win, without any time pressure. After I caught one for Drift, he gave me an exquisite rug in return.

Today, Peanut asked me to deliver a gift (a bone shirt) to Octavian. He didn’t know whether to call it boring or practical.

But he didn’t put the shirt on, so that probably tells how he really feels. Actions speak louder than words.

When Peanut asked what Octavian thought, I just said it went “all right.” She tried to be positive about it, saying at least the gift wasn’t rejected.

She then rewarded me with some cabana flooring.

Dotty has been sick with a cold this week, so I gave her some medicine Wednesday, yesterday, and again today. Hopefully she’ll get well soon.

I saw a balloon present floating by, so I got my slingshot out. My first shot missed, because I apparently wasn’t far north enough. So I moved up closer, and shot it down on my 2nd attempt.

I found a birdhouse inside! Maybe the bird should’ve left home first before going out for a flight.

I later got a Japanese drum from Tank (in exchange for a pill bug), and I found a maple bonsai in the recycle bin at town hall. See you all next week!
