On Wednesday, Filbert wanted to compete to see who could catch a tiger butterfly first. But he framed it in a funny way: He wondered if the butterflies get ticklish if you touch their bellies, so he wanted to find out!

However his enthusiasm seemed to die out seconds later, when I handed over the tiger butterfly. He said he “guesses” he’ll take it.

He made no further mention of tickling it or making it laugh. He just gave me a regal carpet and went on with his life. I guess I’ll never know if they’re ticklish.
Speaking of butterflies, I saw an even bigger one yesterday: a birdwing butterfly. I had to cross the river and chase it down, but it was worth it. Nothing this big should be allowed to fly around freely without me snagging it.

Filbert recently came down with a cold, so I gave him some medicine yesterday and today. Get well soon, Filbert!
Octavian asked me to deliver a letter to Bones today, and he only gave me ten minutes to do it. That wasn’t a problem, though. Bones loved the letter, and Octavian thanked me for saving his hide.

And yet, my reward was just a beige box. I guess his hide isn’t worth much.

Later on, I went to the Roost to check out K.K. Slider’s Saturday night performance. He played K.K. Gumbo for me; it’s not one of my favorites, but it’s not bad either.
I posted my latest video episode the other day, so check out episode 66:
See you all next time!
