Octavian’s Pic

Today, Drift told me that bug-hunting season is rolling in. Of course, I’m well aware of that fact, and I’m looking forward to it! More so in City Folk than Wild World, but still. I love my bug hunting on summer nights. 🙂

Drift: Looks like bug-hunting season is rolling in, rrrrribbit!

Anyway, he was wanting to have a competition to see who could catch a rare bug. However, I wasn’t interested. I’ll do the simple contests, like catching a moth, but I’m not a fan of these open-ended ones. Especially since it’ll cost me a valuable bug, most likely. 😛 And besides, it was raining in town today, so not many good bugs were out anyway.

Speaking of the rain, Octavian warned me that I should duck and cover! That’s a little over-dramatic, but thanks for the warning, I guess. 😆

Octavian: It's comin' down hard, now! ...Duck and cover!

Dotty asked me to get her a new outfit, and she said she didn’t care what kind. But I knew better, of course. So I went to Able Sisters and bought two shirts for her, a BB shirt and a No. 5 shirt. I knew there’s always a chance she’ll reject what I give her…and it turns out I was right. She refused the BB shirt because it “looks like a boy outfit.”

Dotty: ...Um...HELLO? Yeah, total miss on this one. It kinda looks like a boy outfit...

So I gave her the backup option, the No. 5 shirt, and she loved it!

Dotty: Wow, sunshine! You're so super generous! I can't wait to try it on!

She rewarded me with a pilot’s cap.

Back outside, Octavian surprised me by giving me his picture!

Octavian: Here... Take this picture of me. It's all yours!
Thank you, Octavian!

It’s not easy finding space in my house, but for now I placed it on the floor in my mush room. On the back, it says his favorite quote: “Don’t be a sucker!”

I sold a few batches of fruit so that I could get my savings balance up to an even 12 million bells.

Pelly: The current bell balance is 12,000,000.

And a couple quick notes about items I found:

  • Yesterday, I found a kiddie dresser in the recycle bin.
  • I shot down two balloon presents today. They contained an exotic lamp and a bromeliaceae.

Enjoy your weekend, and I’ll see you again in July!
