Summer Fish Season

Teddy told me that he read that walking is good for you. So he concluded that the “animal body” is amazing…especially his.

Teddy: Man alive, dumbbell! The animal body is amazing...especially mine!

After saving Kiki from moving out, I found a note in a bottle on the beach. Inside, there was a love letter from Joanna to Lucio.

Dearest Lucio, I'm waiting, you know! You said you would write daily. Is there someone else? Another pen pal? I love you! -Love, Joanna

Bree informed me that the flea market is coming up on Saturday. She said she uses it as a way to get rid of gifts from her exes.

Bree: I use it as an opportunity to get rid of excess stuff like gifts from exes.

After i was done making my rounds, I spent over an hour fishing (and a little bug-catching too). Now that July is here, that means both fish I need (the blue marlin and dorado) are now in season. Even though I didn’t find either one of them yet, I did make a lot of good catches tonight. That included three arapaimas, two arowanas, an atlas beetle, an elephant beetle, two gars, a hammerhead shark, four red snappers, two scorpions, an ocean sunfish, and more.

I caught an ocean sunfish! Don't look directly at it!

Those catches also netted me about 150,000 bells. But I have more fishing to do this summer, and I’m determined to catch both of the fish I need. See you next time!

Kidnapping Jeremiah’s Buddies

A new “Talking to Myself” message was posted to the bulletin board. The author would like to see people come with instruction manuals, especially Pete.

-Talking to Myself- If local folks came with instruction manuals, I'd want one for my sister and about five for Pete!

Bree was telling me that you can change the feel of a room by changing the carpet and wallpaper.

Bree: You can change the whole feel of a room by replacing the carpet and walls.

In fact, she recommends doing it after a breakup…instead of cutting your hair. Um, okay?

Bree: When you've been dumped, might I suggest this over cutting your hair?

When I spoke with Jeremiah, he mentioned being itchy. So I caught a flea that was on him, and…he was upset with me! He said I kidnapped his buddies. Why do I bother?

Jeremiah: My buddies!!! You've kidnapped my buddies! Nee-deep!

Kabuki asked me for some green furniture, so I checked out the shop. Tom Nook had a green lamp for sale for 1,800 bells. I bought it, and took it over to Kabuki. He thanked me by giving me 500 bells…less than one-third of what it cost me.

Kabuki: Here... Have 500 bells, meooo-OH.

Sometimes you go out of your way to help someone, and end up worse off yourself. It sucks, but I guess Wild World is realistic that way. 😛

Big Top told me a story about how his uncle used to wear a pep squad shirt when Big Top was young. I was wondering where the story was going, but Big Top just wanted me to get a pep squad shirt for him. I think he’ll be waiting a longggggg time.

Big Top: I have an uncle who, when I was young, used to wear a pep squad shirt.

Nobody was packed up to move out, which was a bit surprising. I have a feeling this means someone is going to move out without warning. I guess I’ll find out next week.

I have posted a new episode of my Animal Crossing: Wild World video series. It covers events that occurred from April through June, along with some interesting edits, of course. I hope you’ll check it out and enjoy it! 🙂

Twice as Hungry

Teddy was feeling better today, and he thanked me for the medicine I took him last week. He gave me some birch flooring, and he even called me his hero! That’s a little over the top, but still, it’s nice to feel appreciated.

Teddy: You are my HERO!
You bearly needed my help.

It was raining in town tonight, and I was happy about that. Kabuki… not so much.

Kabuki: Rain tonight... Rain rain rain. My soul! It cries the tears of a million storms!
Drama queen. Save it for acting class.

Jeremiah walked over, and he had a conversation with Kabuki. Jeremiah said he’s been spacing out on his couch, and drawing pictures of tuna salad without realizing it. That sounds like a fishy story to me.

Jeremiah: I start to draw pictures of tuna salad before I realize it...

He wondered what that meant, and Kabuki told him it just meant that he’s hungry. Well, that was an easy problem to solve. 😛

Margie was planning to move out of town, but I got her to change her mind. Why can’t it ever be Bree that wants to move out?

I found two new black hybrids today, a black tulip near my house and a black rose near Bree’s house. I put them both into storage.

A new black tulip on the ground near the river in Animal Crossing: Wild World.

I circled back around to town hall, and Jeremiah and Kabuki had another conversation. Actually, it was the same exact conversation that they had a few minutes earlier, except this time, Jeremiah was drawing grilled trout instead of tuna salad. Kabuki again had the same response…

Kabuki, to Jeremiah: Uh, hello? It means you're hungry, you big nimrod!

I collected some apples, and I caught this arowana out of the river. It was worth 10,000 bells.

I caught an arowana! It's golden and beautiful!

After selling my fruit and fish, I ended my game for the night.
