Getting Gaston

Tonight, Bree told me that she hadn’t been clothes shopping in a long time. She suggested that someone should just give her some.

Bree: If only someone would just give me some.
It’s not going to be me.

The latest Message of the Week on the bulletin board said to call the firefighters before the house burns down! Was someone trying to cook?

*Message of the Week* Call the firefighters. Before the house burns.

It got me wondering if any future Animal Crossing games would ever have firefighters. While it’s unlikely that Nintendo would put destructive fires in the game, it would be cute to have a firehouse with a firefighter or two (likely dalmatians) that would occasionally rescue a cat up a tree or something.

There was a new house in town, with a new villager inside. It was Gaston the yellow bunny with the big, bushy mustache.

Gaston: Oh, hey, we haven't met yet, have we? My name is Gaston.

I’m quite familiar with Gaston, even though I rarely (if ever) seem to get him in any of my towns. But I do have a Mii version of him on my Tomodachi Life island, as some of you may know from my Tomodachi Life Blog.

Crazy Redd was in town, but the only work of art he had today was a flowery painting. And I didn’t need that one. It feels like it’s going to take me forever to get the last couple paintings I need.

White Feather

Rocco is officially gone at last. I got his goodbye letter in the mail tonight.

Later, Jeff! So I packed up and moved the other day. Don't take it too personally... Most of it wasn't your fault. Good-bye! -Rocco

I also received a letter from Boondox, where they’re using my generous donations to build mansions for themselves!

Dear Jeff, My cousin Thomas bought a mansion! It's a towering three-bedroom with a view of the water! -From Boondox

In return, they sent me a white feather. Sounds like a fair trade. I put it in my hair. It is a bit bland compared to the purple feather I’ve been wearing, but I earned that stupid thing, so I want to keep it on for a while. 😛

Jeff wears a white feather in his hair in ACWW.

I watered a bunch of flowers around my house, and then some around Curly’s house too. I don’t even know if I have more hybrids or not, because most of the flowers were wilted. That’s what happens when you only play once a week. 😛

Anyway, I made my way to Crazy Redd’s tent. He had an amazing painting for sale, but I didn’t need it.

Next, I had a chat with Rosie, and she told me that La-Di-Day is coming up on Saturday. She said she was going to sing her adorable little heart out. As cute as that may sound, I don’t plan on participating this time. 😛

Rosie: I am SO gonna sing my adorable little heart out!

I found all three fossils and had them identified at the museum. But I couldn’t sell them, or anything else, because Nook’s shop was already closed by the time I played. Night owl problems.

Moppina

I got a letter from Mom today, talking about the arrival of autumn. She sent me an acorn; I put it in storage for a future acorn festival (if I remember to use it).

Rosie was talking about how big my house is now (even though it’s been fully expanded for quite a while now). Still, she asked if she should bring some mocha java as a housewarming gift. Uhh… obviously. Yes!

Rosie: As a housewarming gift, should I bring expensive mocha java?

In my flower garden, I found my very first black rose! Woohoo! I picked it up and put it in my house for safekeeping.

My first black rose in ACWW (Animal Crossing: Wild World).

The latest Message of the Week on the bulletin board advised people to keep a positive attitude…and ignore the “horror of it all.” Is being positive really that horrible? Hmm, this sounds like Phyllis struggling to be nice. 😛

*Message of the Week* Keep a positive attitude... Ignore the horror of it all!

In front of the museum, Margie and Rosie had a very interesting conversation. Margie asked Rosie if she had seen Margie’s new mop yet…

Margie: Hey, Rosie, have I shown you my new mop yet?

Rosie was not excited to hear about it; she prefers her candy. She even told Margie to go scrub something. 😂

Rosie: You can have your mop. I've got candy. So why don't you just go scrub something?

The conversation then got weird(er). Margie said that the mop isn’t for scrubbing…its name is Moppina and “she” is Margie’s best friend!

Margie: Hey... don't call Moppina an it! She's a she, and she's my best friend ever!

Margie tries out hairstyles on Moppina, lets her model clothes, and they even dance together!

Margie: And she tries on clothes for me and lets me dance with her...

I was expecting Rosie to call Margie crazy, but she didn’t. Instead, Rosie said that Moppina sounds pretty nice, and she wants to meet her! This has got to be one of the most bizarre conversations I’ve listened in on.

I went to visit Rocco, and he made me quite happy…by telling me he was moving away! So long, jerk!

Rocco: This is awkward. You caught me in the act. How'd you know I was skipping town?

I’ve finally saved up enough money for another 300,000 bell donation to Boondox. Pelly told me that the average household there has two cars now. Wow, they’ve really come a long way.

Pelly: I heard that in Boondox, the average household has two cars now.

Crazy Redd was in town, but I didn’t need what he was selling (the quaint painting). See you next time!
