Talking Tuna

Curly tried to move out of town tonight, but I kept talking to him to change his mind. Eventually, he realized he lost his passport.

Curly: I won't be able to move if I don't have my passport, nyoink!
Oh, quit squealing.

Big Top was sick with a cold, so I gave him some medicine.

Big Top: HACK! URGGGGLE... Thanks, I know you mean well, but that medicine was terrible.
You’re welcome.

I had new apples on some of my trees. I planted three new apple trees, and sold the rest of the apples. So once these newest ones mature, I should have ten apple trees producing fruit. Not bad. I’m not sure if I’ll plant more, or just leave it at ten. Ten trees should give me an extra 15,000 bells each time I play.

I had a chat with Rhonda, and she had some gossip for me. She said Bud and Puddles are getting close. She didn’t think Bud is very smart, so she said Puddles needs to drop a hint so that Bud gets the message.

Rhonda: You can't leave something this important to a boy, bigfoot.I met up with Puddles a few minutes later. She didn’t talk about Bud, but she did say she loves walking around outside more than anything. How convenient, since that’s practically all that Animal Crossing villagers do. 😛

Puddles: I don't care if it's snowing or dark or there are wolves chasing me or whatever...

A new “Talking to Myself” was posted to the bulletin board. It was about orange eye shadow and pink gloss.

-Talking to Myself- I heard that really orange eye shadow and pink gloss are must-haves! I gotta read more Ms. Nintendique!

When I spoke with Baabara, she was again talking about tuna salad. She said she loves it so much that she could scream.

Baabara: This is kinda sudden, but I love tuna salad so much. I could SCREAM!!!Bud was also talking about tuna, but not eating it. He was saying how thrilled he would be if he could catch one by himself. That actually made me realize that I have not yet caught a tuna! I’ll have to keep that in mind!

Down in the Roost, I caught a musical performance from K.K. Slider. He played Pondering for me. It doesn’t sound very good performed live, to be honest.

After shaking a tree, some bees came after me. I ran for Nook’s door, and I just made it in time. Close call!

Bees surround my head as I enter Nookington's.

After selling all my fossils and fruit, I went up to town hall and made a 25,000 bell mortgage payment.

I then returned home, and after accidentally putting my bench in my pocket, I put my new song in my stereo. 😛

I’ll be back next week (probably on Tuesday) with another entry. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you all! 🙂

A New Bud

Hopper gave me a free gift tonight, a stadiometer. But in true Hopper fashion, he managed to be a jerk even as he was being nice.

Hopper: Here ya go, have a stadiometer! What? It's a gift, moron! There was a new Message of the Week posted on the bulletin board near town hall. It said that a little learning can’t hurt, except at Pain State.

*Message of the Week* A little learning can't hurt. Except at Pain State.I found a new house in town, and Bud the lion was inside. He just moved in. I’ve had him in City Folk before; he’s alright, but not one of my favorites.

Bud: Hey, pleased to meetcha! I'm Bud! Who are you, maaan?Crazy Redd was in town, and I bought a solemn painting from him. It turned out to be real, so I donated it to the museum.

Solemn painting. Donor: Jeff.I only need seven more works of art! Of course, my museum still needs some fish and bugs too, so I’ve still got a ways to go before the whole thing is complete.

The three apple trees I planted last time haven’t matured yet, but my original apple tree has produced another bunch of apples. I chopped down three more orange trees and planted the apples in those spots. That should give me seven apple trees… Not bad, but I want more.

I made a 15,000 bell mortgage payment at town hall before returning home.

Another Space Station?

I received Joey’s goodbye letter in the mail tonight. He said he’ll send me a sandwich from his new town! Sounds good! Or at least, it would sound good if he wasn’t lying to me. 🙁

Dear Jeff, I'm hitting the road, but don't be sad! I'll send you a sandwich or something from my new town. Good-bye! -JoeyWhen I visited Curly, he was telling me that he sweats a lot. Odd, because pigs don’t actually sweat that much. That’s why they need to roll in mud to cool off. But basically, he was just asking me for a new shirt to soak up all his sweat. What a lovely image. 😛

Curly: Look, it's no secret that I sweat a lot, am I right, nyoink?Over by town hall, my new tree has produced some fruit!

An apple tree, with oranges below it on the ground.

I shook off the new apples and planted three new apple trees.

Baabara asked me to deliver a letter to Puddles, and I agreed to help out. Even though I didn’t peek at the letter, Puddles showed it to me anyway. Apparently, Baabara’s been shaking it (her butt) to soul (music). 😀

Oh no, Puddles! I got your letter. Yes, yes, you're the smartest. Lately, I've been shaking it to soul. -From BaabaraI returned to Baabara to tell her I made the delivery (and to laugh at her), and she rewarded me with a space station. Odd, because Kiki just gave me a space station on Tuesday! Why do all my villagers think I need space stations? Are they trying to say I think the world revolves around me? I’m so offended that I might just moon Baabara! 😛

Baabara: Maybe you'd like my space station!
Maybe I’d like to kick your butt to outer space.

Anyway, I then rolled up two snowballs and built my first snowman of the season. Unfortunately, he wasn’t perfect. Maybe I should have made the head a bit smaller?

Snowman: Y'know, I always thought I'd be a little more... uh... snowman-ish, y'know?
Y’know you’re lucky I made you at all, y’know?

At the museum, Blathers was talking about his fear of bugs again. He said he’s going to talk to his sister Celeste about it. This sounds familiar, so I’m wondering if this is repeated dialogue I’ve seen before, or if it’s something new. I’m not 100% sure.

Blathers: Oddly enough, she is rather comfortable touching them. After he identified three fossils for me, I went downstairs to hear some music. K.K. played K.K. Etude for me. The one time I actually wanted to hear something upbeat, he played me a sad song. 😛

It was nearly 11:00 after the show ended, so I ran over to Nookington’s and sold my three fossils. Right after I exited the shop, the clock struck eleven and the store closed. Whew, close call. I then went over to town hall to make a 25,000 bell mortgage payment before ending my game for the night.
